"I Wanna See My Castle!" October 2013 TR *COMPLETE* **NEW TR LINK!!** 7/3

Another thing I thought he would love in Seuss Landing was the High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride. Unfortunately (and I forgot to mention this earlier) he was too short!! We noticed this as we were going over to Universal earlier that morning.
That is just wrong. The fact that they even have a ride in Seuss Landing that has a height restriction is just ridiculous!

I wish I could say DH hated it because then I could have had the whole thing to myself, but unfortunately, he loved it too. He didn't like the caramel foam on top as much as I did though, so once the foam started mixing in with the Butterbeer, I got to finish it off.
I tend to agree with that. I thought it was good. Nothing I couldn't live without next time we go, but it was good. I kind of passed it on to somebody else to drink though once it got down to the last bit of it with the foam mixed into it though. :rotfl2::rotfl:

Welcome to Jurassic Park! *Cue score by John Williams* (Did you just go look up the music to listen to on YouTube? Because I definitely did!)
No. It has been playing in my head ever since I read the title of this update. :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

I have to say, I have really loved the original Jurassic Park since it came out when I was a kid! I probably know most of the movie by heart.
I saw it in the theaters when it came out and I made DW (reluctantly) go watch it with me in the theater a few months ago when they were running the updated 3D version. Always love some JP. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

So anyway, DH and I both enjoy the River Adventure attraction, but it isn't a must-do for us, so we didn't do a rider switch for it. Instead, we did something I have never done before in all of my visits to IoA. We went inside the Jurassic Park Discovery Center!
I like the River Adventure, but I've always thought that they really screwed up by not making the ride be what the movie is. I mean the movie completely set up a theme park attraction. You get in an early 90's modified Ford Explorer and get attacked by dinosaurs. What's so hard about that? Why did they feel the need to make the ride be a boat ride... through the control room area which really makes no sense??? :confused3 :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Can you tell DS was a little excited to be around all those dinos?
Ok... there's another point for going to Universal. I've never spent much time in the Discovery Center either, but it looks like DS (and maybe even I) would probably enjoy it.

I made it back downstairs in just enough time to watch a Velociraptor hatch!
And I can't believe I didn't know that was there. I guess that's the problem with the fact that we're always rushing to get through Universal as fast as we can and hit it in a day.

And just quickly because I probably won't be back for an update before then, but for my U.S. friends, I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving! And to my friends from elsewhere, I hope you have a really awesome Thursday! :-)
Happy Thanksgiving! :thumbsup2

Ok, that whole velociraptor hatching thing was simply awesome! Along with the Simpsons I think Jurassic Park is the main attraction that makes me really want to visit Universal/IOA.

I also love how they let the kids touch and play with the dinosaur exhibits!

Hmmm. Feeling a little old since I was already in college when the movie came out. :lmao:

It was pretty cool to watch, and having never been in the Discovery Center in all the years we have been going to IoA, it was pretty amazing to see something totally new to us! There was a lot for DS to run around an play with in there, and anything hands on is great for us!

Oops. :lmao: I was 8!

I'm so fascinated with the Springfield section of the park. Of course being a Simpson's fan I think they did a great job! And the food didn't look bad either. I really need to leave the Disney bubble sometime since I'd love to see Velociraptor hatch! :)

Even being only mildly into the Simpsons, I was so impressed with Springfield. Of course, it was just about heaven for my Simpsons loving DH! The food was VERY good for counter service. My chicken was not dry, and the buns were thick. I tried DS's pizza too and it was definitely miles above Disney pizza. Leaving the bubble can be fun! Especially when you get to watch prehistoric creatures hatching!!

Going back to Universal Studios Hollywood - the Jurassic Park ride there is really AWESOME when I was disappointed with the Orlando version!

But the discovery center looks awesome, we haven't made it inside there either!! Too bad about the flyers line, that's crazy and stupid you can't use the express pass there. Boo!

And the train - Paxton wasn't tall enough?!?! That's so so weird. He's the perfect after for Seuss landing rides, he should be more than able to ride them all!

Carousel is pretty! Love the theming there!

That's cool that at least Hollywood had a better version of the JP ride! I really tried to make it work for us to visit there on both of our DL trips last year, but we were just so pressed for time that we thought we should dedicate all of it to DL.

The Discovery Center was a great find. Always knew it was there, but never thought to go inside! I'm glad we did this time, because DS was the perfect age for that too. And he looooooves dinosaurs! I was really disappointed about the Flyers too! I was pretty shocked that they didn't use EP there.

I didn't even give one thought to him not being able to ride something in Seuss Landing. It's an entire kids section, for crying out loud! We were walking past the height sign and I had to do a double take, because I was sure my eyes had deceived me. The carousel was fun though, and very bright! He definitely loved that. It reminded me of the King Triton carousel at DCA. Sometimes it's more fun to ride something other than a traditional horse!

Yay DS finally made it to Seuss Landing! :cool1:

Mmm butterbeer..glad you both liked it! I've only tried the frozen one too and I love it. Love the pics of you guys with it in front of the castle!

Happy Thanksgiving to you guys! :goodvibes

He really enjoyed Seuss Landing! We didn't even do the One Fish Two Fish ride because DH and I didn't want to get wet. :rotfl: Luckily DS didn't seem to notice that we skipped that one either!

That Butterbeer was heavenly! And thanks, those are some of my favorite pictures too!

Hope you & your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Great update!

Thanks! :goodvibes

That is just wrong. The fact that they even have a ride in Seuss Landing that has a height restriction is just ridiculous!

Right?!?! I thought that was SO strange! I didn't even think to check height restrictions for those rides because I thought OBVIOUSLY he could ride them all...

I tend to agree with that. I thought it was good. Nothing I couldn't live without next time we go, but it was good. I kind of passed it on to somebody else to drink though once it got down to the last bit of it with the foam mixed into it though. :rotfl2::rotfl:

What's wrong with you two?!?! :lmao:

No. It has been playing in my head ever since I read the title of this update. :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

:rotfl: That movie has some GREAT music!

I saw it in the theaters when it came out and I made DW (reluctantly) go watch it with me in the theater a few months ago when they were running the updated 3D version. Always love some JP. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Haha it was me trying to convince DH to go see the 3D version, and we didn't end up going. I will watch that movie any time I catch it on TV. One of the best things we did in Hawaii was that tour of filming locations for Lost, and one of the places we also got to visit is where they filmed the scene of the kids and Dr. Grant hiding under the log while the dinosaurs run over them!

That is an excellent point, and I have never really thought of it that way!! But yes, a control room on the water does seem a bit ridiculous. :lmao: I swear, they made that ride less intense too. I remember riding it the first time and thinking that T-rex at the end was really going to eat me! I think it used to come down toward the boats more, and somewhere along the way they stopped doing that.

Ok... there's another point for going to Universal. I've never spent much time in the Discovery Center either, but it looks like DS (and maybe even I) would probably enjoy it.

Even with us going as often as we did before DS, we never thought to poke our heads in there and see if there was anything going on. :confused3 So it was pretty cool to discover something new about that section of the park for us, having been there many times and thinking we had seen and done it all.

Happy Thanksgiving! :thumbsup2

Thanks! I hope you & your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving as well!

The Jurassic Park area looks really cool. I had no idea they had a "hatchery." Pretty neat...

Oh, Butterbeer, it sounds amazing! I read that you can get it at Starbucks, but I'm waiting to taste the real thing first. Glad both of you enjoyed it.

I love your pictures of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I can't wait to go and see it.

Also the Seuss land looks very fun. I do think it's weird though that there are restrictions on heights in that area.

DS looks like he is having the best time ever. Imagine playing in a pint sized super cool play area and then hanging out with the dinosaurs. What more could a little boy ask for?

As for the butter beer…I know everyone raves over it but I am still a skeptic. I think its cause I don't like to drink really sugary things. I am afraid I would crash and burn if I drank it. But the souvie mug looks like a must have so perhaps I could soldier my way through. :rotfl2:

I didn't realize they were hatching velociraptors in there either, so that was quite the nice surprised to stumble upon.

I don't ever frequent Starbucks, but if they really do have Butterbeer, I'm in!! It was delicious!

Thanks! I feel like it's something every HP fan just has to do at least once. It's so incredible!

I thought it was so bizarre! Especially for a non-threatening ride like a train. :confused3

Great update!

As much as it killed me to skip Universal the past two years, I think it was absolutely the right decision for us to wait until this year. DS definitely still had a great time that day although he wasn't able to ride as many attractions as he does on our Disney days. He wasn't confined to the stroller as much as I would have thought. One day was perfect too. I think 2 days and he would have started getting bored.

That's why DH and I decided to share one instead of getting two. Of course, we loved it so after tasting it we each wished we had gotten our own. :rotfl: I'm not crazy about really sugary drinks either, but this just tasted like really cold butterscotch.

I don't care or know a thing about Harry Potter, and I'm not into Dr. Seuss or The Simpsons, but I would be willing to travel to the 'dark side' of Orlando to see the Jurassic Park stuff. We may do that when the girls are a little older.

It's always good to see people's non-Disney pictures of things we don't go to. When people back home ask us about other activities in the WDW area, we really aren't much help, but at least knowing a little through the reports and pictures of others might be a help to us when we tell them what little we do know. We went to Sea World for the first time in probably 20+ years this past summer, and it was kind of nice to do something outside the Disney gates for a change.

It was okay for one day with a little one, but two days would have been too much. There just isn't enough for littles to do, although there is quite a bit more than I had ever paid attention to when we were adults-only. The Jurassic Park area is just fantastic. It feels like you are stepping into the movie!

I haven't been to Sea World in years, and I'd love to go back for a visit soon. It's hard to break away from all the fun in Disney though, especially when you have kiddos along! That was part of the reason we stayed away from Universal on DS's first two trips. We wanted to make sure we had plenty enough time to do everything in Disney that we wanted to do.

This might be out of order because I just read a ton to catch up..so I apologize.

It looks like you are having a great time at Universal. I absolutely love all things Dr. Suess...so fun. The colors are so cute. Jurassic Park looks fun as well. I could totally see Zavier wanting to spend hours there. I would love to see the hatching as well, it really does look life like.

Springfield also looks awesome. I used to watch Simpsons when I was younger (where on Earth were my parents..haha) I think my must do would be a krusty burger.

The colors in the Seuss area are fantastic! It's really like the books come to life, and DS has quite a few of those books he absolutely loves, so it was definitely a hit for him. The Jurassic Park area was so fun, and we didn't even do any of the things we used to on past visits! I think there is even another play area there, but we never got to try it out.

:rotfl: I used to watch Simpsons more as a kid too! I can't say much, my parents also let me watch Married With Children along with them. :lmao:

Day 2 Continued: Wednesday October 23rd

Okay, so I feel like it's about time to wrap up Universal/IoA, so I'm finishing up day one today in 3 posts! I don't know about you, but I'm ready to get to the Disney stuff. :goodvibes

When I left off, we had been trying unsuccessfully to get DS to take a nap in the stroller by walking him around with the seat reclined. As we were walking through Marvel Super Hero Island, who should be out on the curb looking for people to bring back to his meet & greet area but Spider-Man! DS spotted him and immediately wanted to go over and see Spidey.

Our view from the line

We only had to wait maybe 5-8 minutes before we were inside to see Spider-Man! He meets in front of a green screen, so I can only imagine there are some high priced photos with effects added that we obviously didn't even think of purchasing! One weird thing was that although Spider-Man's face is covered, he does actually talk!

2-128 by disneymom1024, on Flickr

2-130 by disneymom1024, on Flickr
Telling Spidey he is 3!

2-132 by disneymom1024, on Flickr

This was a funny moment! Spider-Man tried to get DS to the web shooting hand gesture, but DS was not getting it! So eventually, they did the Ironman instead, and just held their hands out. lol

2-133 by disneymom1024, on Flickr

And just after this photo, DS got freaked and ran away. I guess he didn't like the way Spidey was coming at him that way! It was actually one of the cuter interactions I was able to get on video, if you are interested in watching.

When we exited the building after meeting Spider-Man, we saw that there were actually a lot of Marvel characters out. Right across the street was the Green Goblin, who looked SCARY. There was a family taking a picture with him and just when the photographer counted to 3, GG hit the aluminum wall behind him and scared the daylights out of the family! I mean, just look at this guy.

2-134 by disneymom1024, on Flickr

Surely the kid who was, only hours before, scared by a Minion wouldn't want to meet him, right?

2-135 by disneymom1024, on Flickr

2-136 by disneymom1024, on Flickr

2-137 by disneymom1024, on Flickr

Nope, not scared at all. They even did a fearsome pose together!

There were more out and about, but we didn't stop for pictures with any more of them. DH just got some shots of them between guests as we walked through.

2-138 by disneymom1024, on Flickr

2-139 by disneymom1024, on Flickr

2-140 by disneymom1024, on Flickr

At that point, since we were right there, I decided to go ride The Hulk while DH continued walking DS around in the stroller in the hopes of getting him to nap. Despite the cute meets with the characters, it was obvious he was in desperate need of a nap. Dude was CRANKY.

I used my EP on the Hulk even though the wait was only maybe 10 minutes at that time. It was nice to be able to walk right on since DH was waiting on me to ride so he could get his turn.

2-141 by disneymom1024, on Flickr

2-142 by disneymom1024, on Flickr

It was AMAZING, as it always is. This ride never lets me down. That launch is so intense, and then they immediately throw you into a loop. I always feel like I'm never going to be able to catch my breath!

Apparently while I was gone, the Marvel Super Heroes had some kind of motorcade through the street that DH took some photos of.

2-145 by disneymom1024, on Flickr

When I was done I gave DH a call and found where they were, still walking around and DS still awake and cranky in the stroller. I tagged off to let DH go ride the Hulk, and then I was bound and determined to get this kid to sleep. I walked through the Toon Lagoon area and finally found a quiet spot up a ramp just before you get to the Dudley Do-Right's ride that was in front of an old theater that they obviously don't use anymore. It provided a mostly quiet, shaded area where I could just walk in circles. In no time, DS was out like a light. I encountered a few TM's coming from what looked to be a backstage area around the corner from where I was, and I didn't get any problems for being up there, so it was fantastic. I played around on my phone while walking around, and found out my mom was at that moment stuck on Forbidden Journey!

I had been walking for about 20 minutes by the time DH met up with us, and he took this picture.

2-146 by disneymom1024, on Flickr

He took over walking for me so I could sit down for a few, and DS woke up after about 10 more minutes. Shorter nap than I would have liked, but he seemed to be in a better mood once he was up. We decided to go over to WWoHP again to meet up with the family. Twist my arm, why don't ya?

2-147 by disneymom1024, on Flickr

2-148 by disneymom1024, on Flickr
Check out that wait time! 000 Too bad it was only because the ride was down. lol

As we got over there, we saw a student a capella group outside singing different songs from Harry Potter! I was so excited that we walked up just as they started doing the HP theme song!

It was really cool! Since we were right there, we decided to go through the dump shop and get some souvenirs.

2-150 by disneymom1024, on Flickr

We ended up buying a set of 4 tumblers, each with the different houses from Hogwarts on it, and a Hogwart's Express t-shirt for me. I also saw a TM demonstrating a Marauder's Map that works! I tried to get a video, but I was too late. DH did get a picture of it lit up though.

Continued in next post...

Loving this trip report! I read most of your TRs during my pregnancy. I really liked them because we have done some similar trips--honeymoon in WDW and other trips with just me and DH...plus the ones with Paxton got me excited about visiting with my baby! We have typically gone every Fall and were thinking of skipping this year due to our DD being born in July....but we bit the bullet and went last month. Had an incredible time and we are so glad we did it.

We have stayed at WBC once and really enjoyed it. We are also fans of Universal so staying a night or two at Royal Pacific does seem really appealing. I can't justify the Disney on-site prices for Deluxe resorts, but it does seem like you really get a lot of benefits staying on-site at Universal for a bit.

Day 2 Continued: Wednesday October 23rd

Eventually, we met up with the family in WWoHP. Katie, Mitchell, and my in-laws all decided to get a frozen Butterbeer at our recommendation, and they all thought it was delicious as well! We had someone take a picture of DH and I (was supposed to be all 3 of us, but the short one didn't want to cooperate) on the bridge with Hogwart's behind us. DH was so annoyed when he realized whoever took the picture cut off the top of the castle instead of getting less of our legs in the photo.

2-152 by disneymom1024, on Flickr

We took a few more photos as we wandered around.

2-160 by disneymom1024, on Flickr

2-161 by disneymom1024, on Flickr

2-164 by disneymom1024, on Flickr

Not really sure why we met up with the family anyway, because we split up again right after that! Everyone else wanted to go ride some water rides, but we were ready for an early dinner. It took some convincing, but I managed to sell DH on the idea of eating at Three Broomsticks!

2-165 by disneymom1024, on Flickr

2-167 by disneymom1024, on Flickr

2-168 by disneymom1024, on Flickr

We ordered at the counter and decided to get just 2 entrees and hoped DS would share with us. I decided to get Shepherd’s Pie with Garden Salad – $9.99 - Ground beef and vegetables crowned with potatoes.

2-169 by disneymom1024, on Flickr

It was REALLY good! The potatoes were really fluffy and buttery, and the beef and vegetables were seasoned nicely. The only thing not great is that it came with a salad, which I don't eat. And towards the end, I was getting a bit tired of it. That's the bad thing about having all of your meal mixed together, I guess! Can't move on to something else when you get bored with one thing. But overall, I was very happy with my choice, considering I went out on a limb (for me) in ordering it instead of getting chicken or the fish & chips.

DH got Rotisserie Smoked Chicken Platter – $9.99 - Served with roasted corn and roasted potatoes.

2-170 by disneymom1024, on Flickr

He seemed to enjoy the chicken well enough, though he let me have some of his potatoes because he is not a huge fan of them to begin with (unless they are French fries!). I'm gonna guess he liked the corn too.

2-173 by disneymom1024, on Flickr

After a few attempts to get DS to share from our plates, it became obvious that was not going to work out well. He wasn't interested in the chicken or the mashed potatoes from my shepherd's pie that we tried to give him. So DH ended up going to get him kids mac & cheese served with grapes and applesauce.

2-172 by disneymom1024, on Flickr

It was probably good that we ended up getting him his own meal, because he went to town on that mac & cheese! I was happy to see it wasn't the Kraft yellow powder stuff that Disney tends to serve. He ate the mac & cheese and the applesauce, then we took the grapes to go once we had finished one of our cups of water and we could put the grapes in it to take with us.

After eating, we took a quick walk through Zonko's and Honeyduke's to take some pictures. I also remember going to the restroom at some point, and freaking out when I heard Moaning Myrtle! No photos of that though ;) just the stores.

Enjoying the atmosphere as the sun went down...

By then, Forbidden Journey was back up and running, so I went first through the Single Rider line. The TM said DH could actually wait with DS at the bottom of the stairs in the gift shop and child swap from there instead of taking DS into the child swap room. Considering how much he had LOVED it that morning, that was a great alternative!

2-186 by disneymom1024, on Flickr

2-186-1 by disneymom1024, on Flickr

Sorry, you only get crappy iPhone pics this time!

When I came out, DH went right up the stairs to get on. I took DS outside in the stroller to wait for him and had a seat on the ground while DS watched a video on the old phone we had taken with us specifically for that purpose. After a few minutes, I thought to text DH and let him know where we were so he wouldn't be looking for us in the shop. He sent me a text back immediately to let me know he was stuck on the ride!! After my mom had been stuck for 30 minutes earlier in the day, I wasn't hopeful for DH. So I texted my dad to see where they were and started walking to Toon Lagoon to meet up with them. But first, one last photo of my love!

2-187 by disneymom1024, on Flickr

As I was walking, I soon got another text from DH that the ride had started up shortly after he had told me he was stuck, so he was now off and coming to meet up with me. At that point, we decided we were done for the day and ready to head to Bonnet Creek for the night. We headed out of the park and made the walk back to the resort to collect our bags and load up the car.

Continued in next post...

Day 2 Continued: Wednesday October 23rd

We bid Universal good bye, and hopped in the car toward home for the next 7 nights. Although there wasn't as much that DS could do as I would have hoped (we had thought he might hit 40" before the trip and be able to ride Spider-Man at least but he was 2" short), we were both so happy that we had decided to venture over to US/IoA for the first time since having DS! WWoHP was the big draw, of course, but we had a blast with all of the new things that have opened since we were last there in 2009! It was almost like an entirely new experience! As torturous as it was to be so close to WWoHP all those past trips and not go, I'm glad we waited until DS was older and able to enjoy the park more than he likely would have at 1 or 2 years old.

Soon enough, we were passing under the magical archway to start the rest of our vacation!

2-190 by disneymom1024, on Flickr

And just a few more minutes after that, I got this blurry photo of the sign for our home for the next week.

2-191 by disneymom1024, on Flickr

DS and I stayed in the car while DH ran inside to check us in. We had discussed asking for a room near our family in building 3, so DH asked for that at check-in, but also asked if there were any fireworks view units available. AND THERE WAS!!! Sorry, family, guess we will not be rooming near you after all. :lmao: They were promptly ditched in favor of that fireworks view. Another thing we have not been able to experience since 2009! Our room was actually in the main building, so we didn't have to move the car far before we could start unloading, just had to get out of the check-in-only parking spot we had chosen. We were on the 4th floor, the very top floor of the main building, and only a couple of rooms down from the elevator, which was very convenient.

I didn't take any room photos once we got up there. Sorry for any of you who may have wanted to see some! It looked pretty much identical to the 2-bedroom unit we had last year, so there are plenty of photos in my 2012 TR. Instead, I wanted to get to work unpacking and bathing DS to get him ready for bed while DH made a grocery run for a few things we needed (milk for DS, breakfast items, snacks, etc.) and stopped at Cold Stone to pick up DS's birthday cake.

Prior to our trip, we had bought a couple of pool noodles to put under the fitted sheet to keep DS from rolling out of his bed. I told DH to make sure he went over to our parents' unit to get them because I had sent them ahead with my mom and dad since they were driving and we were flying. Well, he did go get them, but he wasn't back in time before I was ready to put DS to bed! So instead, I took most of the pillows from one of the beds and used them as a barrier on the other bed like we had done the night before at RPR. That ended up being his "clean bed" for nighttime. The other bed eventually made use of the pool noodles, and that was his "dirty bed" for when he was napping in his sweaty park clothes. Worked out perfectly!

Once DS was in bed, I hopped in the shower, and DH did the same once he got home and got the groceries unpacked. Then he went out on the balcony to set up the tripod, and at 9 pm, I joined him outside to watch some fireworks! We were treated to both IllumiNations and Wishes going on simultaneously!

Pretty amazing way to cap off our first full day of vacation! And it was even more magical knowing that after such a fun and exciting day, we still had a WHOLE WEEK of Disney magic awaiting us! As soon as the fireworks were over, we hit the sack because our alarms were set for VERY early the next morning!

FIRSTS FOR TODAY
*Wizarding World of Harry Potter!!!!
*Despicable Me, Transformers & Springfield at Universal Studios
*Meeting Marvel Characters
*Jurassic Park Discovery Center & watching a Velociraptor hatch
*Eating at Three Broomsticks
*Trying Butterbeer!

UP NEXT: Early Morning in Magic Kingdom

I'm so glad you are enjoying it!! DH and I had both agreed long before Paxton was born that we were definitely not taking our kids until they were around 4 years & 40" tall. But that didn't last long once we actually had him and just couldn't wait that long to take him to the place we loved so much. Reading TR's on the boards about other people taking babies and young toddlers to WDW really helped make the decision for us, and I'm glad it did for you too and that you had a wonderful time! Are you planning to do a TR? I'd love to follow along and see how your trip went. We are thinking that we probably won't wait so long after having #2 somewhere down the road to take him/her, probably around the 4-6 month mark.

The benefits were DEFINITELY worth the one night of sharing a hotel room on Universal property! I couldn't do it for a week (Wyndham has spoiled us too much!) but for one night and one day in the parks, it was fantastic. I doubt we will ever stay onsite at Disney again, because we can't justify paying so much for a deluxe when you still get less space than a Wyndham unit.

I'm so glad you had a wonderful time at US/IoA and finally got to experience WWOHP! The pics of DS with the characters are so cute! I'm glad DH wasn't stuck on the ride too long!

Yay Disney time!! Hallowishes and Illuminations at the same time?!!? WOAH that is beyond awesome!!

I don't think I have it in me to do a TR...despite how much I enjoy reading them! I did write a long-ish "lessons learned while visiting WDW with a 4 month old" post on the Families board just because I found those to be helpful when planning.

I would totally recommend visiting with a 4-6 month old. I had a rough first month after the baby arrived, and booking the trip totally lifted my spirits and gave me something to look forward to! (Planning the trip at a 3am feed really does make things better!). Our DD turned 4 months on the trip and she was so easy. Our day was feed>>2-3 attractions>>nap in stroller while mom and dad take turns on rides. Repeat 2-3 times. I was surprised how much DD did seem to be interested in rides and shows--she watched the whole Nemo and America shows!

WBC has spoiled us too. We stayed at an Embassy Suites last month because I had a ton of Hilton points, but we thought the suite felt squished after the week...can't imagine staying in a regular room for a week. And it was just the two of us and a baby. We are looking at booking a 4 bedroom next fall when we visit with family.

Awesome picture. I can see why P may have gotten a little spooked about that, but he sure is rolling with it.

And these are total keepers. What great shots. You really did get some wonderful shots with the action heroes. I never realized the character interaction at HS is so good.

I need to come back and finish part 3. I'm suffering from some post dinner lethargy. This darn winter weather puts me right to sleep.

Awww, I love the pictures of DS and Spiderman! We didn't meet any characters at Universal but I think he'd be a fun character to meet.

Oh my gosh I am DYING at his reaction to the Green Goblin :lmao: That guy looks terrifying and your boy is just so happy to see him!! They are so cute holding hands.

Wolverine's got some nice muscles on him...:rolleyes1

Ahhh that Marauder's Map looks so fun!

I am obsessed with the snowman with the Gryffindor scarf. So adorable!!

I'm glad you guys loved WWOHP so much! I don't have any plans to go back until the expansion is finished but it's definitely beyond amazing there.

Fireworks view is always the right choice. Not that I would know, but I can imagine :rotfl:

OH MY GOSH. How cool that you got to see both shows at once!!! That is unreal. I now want to stay at Bonnet Creek.
