Day 6 Continued: Sunday October 27th
Finally, it was time for Celebrate the Magic with the Villains tag added, followed by HalloWishes! I had been looking forward to the fireworks as much as the parade, so needless to say, I was excited for what was to come!
I forgot to mention, in addition to my shoe fail, which was beginning to get worse as we just stood there waiting for the fireworks to start, my eye make up was not the best choice either! I guess because it was pretty much straight glitter, I don't know if it was getting in my eyes or what, but my eyes wouldn't stop tearing up the whole night. I kept having to dab them with napkins. I was really wishing I had just stuck with the outfit and the bun and foregone the shoes & makeup! lol
Celebrate the Magic was new for us, as the last trip had been when they were doing the crossover from Magic, Memories & You to Celebrate the Magic, so there was no Castle show at the time. I was pretty excited to see the new version, and it didn't disappoint!
Loved it! It was a little harder to see from as far back as we were, but we still really enjoyed the show! DS especially loved the Wreck-It Ralph part, as did DH & I. We really love that movie!
And then it was time...HAPPY HALLOWISHES!!
Okay, I know that is an obscene amount of HalloWishes pictures, but seriously it was SO HARD to choose! I just seriously loved these photos as much as I loved every single second of HalloWishes! I am a huge fan of any kind of fireworks with Cinderella Castle in the foreground, Wishes, Holiday Wishes, Summer Nightastic...but OMG, HalloWishes blows everything else away!! I will still see Wishes every trip and gush over how amazing it is and even probably cry, but I doubt anything could ever top HalloWishes for me. It was incredible!! The music is amazing, I love listening to it over and over again. And this from someone who was never really a fan of Halloween to begin with! That began to change when DS was born a week before Halloween, and then October became pretty much my favorite month because of that, and Halloween just started creeping up on my favorite holiday lists because I associate it with DS's birthday. MNSSHP put that over the edge, Boo to You and HalloWishes especially so!!!
After the fireworks, we noticed a Photopass photographer had sprung up to take photos of guests with the Castle behind them from right there, so we decided to get a picture taken. DS wouldn't cooperate at first, so we got one just DH and I first. You can see in these pictures how my eyes were bothered by the makeup!
Then DS changed his mind and decided he wanted in on the fun!
At that point, it was time to say farewell to Dave as he was headed up to Main Street to set up for the second parade. But not for long, as we'd be seeing him again the next day! We firmed up our plans, then went our separate ways.
In my planning stages, I thought by this time DS would be tired and/or cranky, so we might have to let him fall asleep in the stroller and find other ways to entertain ourselves for the night. But that wasn't the case, at least not yet! He was still raring to go! We had already been to Fantasyland, Adventureland, and Frontierland, so it was time to head over to the part of the park we hadn't been to yet that night!
UP NEXT: Jamming in Tomorrowland!
