I wanna go back and my DS does too, he told me so!Sept 13. New TR

Sorry for being MIA lately. I have been going through lots of homesickness lately that I am thinking I should start applying for jobs back home. It just took me almost a year to find this one so I just don't think i will have luck as im still new with only 7 months experience. It just really bothers me to be away from the DS so much.

That's a lot of very exciting trips in the pipeline. Well done you.

Sounds like you'll be busy planning.

For the Cruise, I get awfully seasick so I have never even contemplated getting on one but I would recommend that you head over to the DCL part of the boards. There are a lot of Dis-sers that like to cruise and most of them seem friendly. I do lurk on that section of the board and a couple of Dis-sers that I'm friendly with have posted TRs there.

And good luck getting the Feb plans solid. I believe a lot of people like the Windsor Hills area. :thumbsup2

My mom gets seasick too! She is already planning her trip to the dr to get her patch for sea sickness.

I know people who had luck getting rooms at bonnet creek. I recently found a good deal on groupon when we went down to legoland last weekend

Sounds like lots of Disney fun.

i know ! I m excited! my best friend who has never gone has decided we would go this November!!

OK. guys! Like I said above! sorry for being MIA. I have been having some issues. My birthday weekend was fabulous! I loved it and last weekend, we went back to Orlando going to legoland. Since that was a one night trip, I thought I would tell you guys about it before my birthday weekend.

Friday June 7
I got tickets for legoland a while back from a link someone gave me and I only paid 25 dollars each for them. I found a wonderful deal on groupon for the Wyndham at downtown Disney. the tower rooms with a Disney view were only 80 dollars but were booked for the whole month so I was able to get a tower non Disney room and we stayed here when it was the Grosvenor resort and I am sorry but I do not know how to spell it but we stayed here when I checked in for my Disney college program and it was not the best but the rooms are great and I will get back to the room later because we had a small problem. Anyway, I woke up at 5 am still exhausted for work the past few days. It was a drag but I got everyone up and we were out the door by 6:30am. We drove the almost 4 hours and got to legoland a little after 10:30am. Parking here was 14 dollars which was like whoa! I wasn't expecting that but whatever.
We went in and my kid was very happy. He could not believe all the legos. This was also an experiment as we did not bring a stroller. We bought it for my birthday weekend and he only wanted to push it, he did not use it at all. So, we left it in the trunk.

We went in and went to the left and we rode almost everything we came across. Devyn's favorite where these horses that we rode them twice. It is a very slow moving ride. First, your kids have to be between 4 -7 the sigh says but Devyn got on it. Sorry for breaking the rules but he is almost 4 and kids allot smaller than him got on it.

ry%3D400

The food options were not Disney but we managed to get some very expensive hot dogs. Devyn really enjoyed the driving school and got his own license afterwards.
The last ride was a coaster called flying school and Devyn did NOT want to get on it so this time I sat with him while the rest of our group went on. It was 5:30 and the park closed at 6 so we made our way to the front where we met this Lego man and we stopped at the gift shop and got a cars Lego set for 10 dollars because it was 50 % off. Here are some more pictures for the day.

We were exhausted but we still managed to stop at the mall and get some food before we went to the hotel.

We went to downtown Disney and straight to the Whyndham. we checked in very smoothly or so I thought. remember I told you I booked a tower room through groupon but after I found my room it was not a tower room. So I called and guest services told me that they only saw I booked through expedia and if I could come back to the check in counter. So that is what I did and the gentlemen that helped me told me he did not see a groupon but an expedia and it was not a tower room so I showed him my confirmation. So he asked for my name again and it turns out I was checked in as tucker, which is not my last name. The both apologized and I figured it was partly my fault because I signed the paper and I did not look at the name or anything when I did. The guy was o nice that he upgraded us to a Disney view room on the 14th floor!!! It was amazing the view you get for the price of a downtown Disney resort. So good that I am considering this hotel again for my trip in November with my BFF. I mean, we won't be using the room that much anyway. It was late so we fell asleep quickly but we did manage to enjoy the view that morning!

we left right at check out time and drove over to downtown Disney. We headed over to T-Rex. We had lunch ADR for 12:00. I must say I do not like the set up for checking into this place. You go to the rock to check in but the line is a mile long. However, if you have reservations, you go to the side. which is weird because they only have one guy working there and you have all these people in line looking at you crazy like you are cutting but this is what they told me to do in the inside. while wanting we got some t-rex t-shirts that were on sale for 9 dollars.
For lunch I got the cheese and steak sandwich which was amazing. My mom and I wanted the wings but they have removed them from the menu. the kids got dinosaur nuggets and cinnamon apples.
After lunch we went to the stores and got a few things but not too much since we are coming back in a few months. we ended the day getting goofy glaciers at goofy's candy shop. we left around 3 going home and the sky started to fall out. The rain was horrible and we had such good weather which I was happy about since the hurricane was in my town the day before we left. So it was a fun quick weekend and I got a little Disney kick on the side. I will spend a few times going over my birthday visit to MK next, which ended up not being the 24 hour event but was good enough. The best thing about this weekend was the DS. In the car on the way back he asked me the cutest thing ever.
DS: Mama, can we go to disney world?
Me: We already wen and we will be back
DS: I mean, can we go to disney world for life?
Me: :rotfl:
:rotfl:

And 90 more days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have some major changes in this trip but they are good changes. One my sister has decided she wants to go. Obviously, we cannot have 5 at POFQ. We also decided that deluxe dining may be too much food for us. So we ditched the deluxe dining plan which makes me sad but we will be back and we switched resorts!!!!

We are staying at the...

Yacht club!

It looks amazing! I showed DS a pick of the pool! he is excited. He told me its REALLY BIGGER than our pool.
We have the free dining plan and with us no longer with deluxe and adding a person, I had to make some changes.
Our ADR now include
Mickeys BBQ
Hollywood and vine
Be our guest
Garden grill
cape may breakfast

I tried to keep some character meals that DS would like for his birthday. I know I hear awful things about Hollywood and vine but my son is a Disney junior nut. He loves all of them jake, little Einstein's, Sophia, doc, oso. I mean all of them, even the ones who are not at the restaurant and this is after all his birthday. anyone have any pictures of the lunch? I know breakfast is safe but I was thinking of doing an early lunch.

At first I was kind of bummed about getting rid of deluxe dining because I wanted to try so many places but it did not bother me for long when all five of us plus an additional 12 members of our family booked our first

DISNEY CRUISE!!!!:cool1::cool1: OOO YEAH!!!!

We will be boarding the Disney dream for 3 nights in May!!!!
I am more excited about the cruise than this trip. It is only 3 nights but most of my family cant handle being on a boat longer than that. One day I will get to do a longer one.

Next up...my birthday trip report!!

LeShun - The Yacht Club and SAB!! pixiedust:
Congrats! You're still on a dining plan; so I think it worked out well!

I missed your update on legoland. Your little boy is growing up! He's adorable.

Yes, we even saved a little money by doing it this way.

Thank you

I cannot believe how fast he is growing on me.

Originally I heard about the 24 hour event at MK and I really wanted to go. However, I wanted to bring the DS and I could not have him up all night so I settled for a regular day in the magic kingdom! A birthday gift from my parents. Now that I live 3 hours from Disney, a weekend there was no problem and I would not have to miss work.

May 23rd one of my BFF's and DS godmother drove from Macon to south Georgia and stayed the night. we woke up and were out the door the morning at 7 on the 24th. My DS started a new dance this trip" we going to Disney world! oo yeah oo yeah!! :cool1::cool1:

He was singing that and dancing a lot since I told him we were going.

Our drive down was short and sweet. We checked into the resort, POP, around 10:40 and our room was ready!!!

ry%3D400

we were excited!

ry%3D400

We decided to explore the resort on the way to get our refillable mugs. Devyn was so excited he got to pick out his own!

ry%3D400

My friend, she is shopper so, we left and went to the outlets on Vineland! She had a ball spending all her money in this make up store she loves and in the dooney store. she seriously is like addicted to those 2 things. I love dooney's too but I prefer Disney ones. After our shopping we came back to the resort it was hot! K slept and Dev and I watched TV.

After the break, we used the Disney quest passes that came with the package. Devyn had a ball!

ry%3D400

After being there for almost 2 hours we tried to take the boat over to the marketplace for dinner but as soon as we boarded, we had to get off because of lighting.

ry%3D400

So we took the walk over to this lovely spot!

ry%3D400

It was good as always I went the unhealthy route but K got the salmon and it was delicious!!! Dev had his favorite chicken fingers, fries, and ketchup. Got to add that ketchup on there. That is seriously how he orders!

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

Desert was the best cheesecake ever!!!

ry%3D400

We took the car back for a early night for an early morning!

Food porn from WPE! Love that pizza.

Are you using the new camera?? :thumbsup2

I know it's the best! Love that food. My friend said she was kind of scared because I'm satisfied with chicken fingers like devyn but she has a more sophisticated taste and she loved it. I told her to go there because she is going next month with quick service plan.

Why yes I was practicing with my camera but I have to admit it was auto! I'm getting to the manual though!

Day 2: Magic kingdom day

We woke up at 6:45am to get ready. K wears make up and needs time for that unlike me. Dev was ready for day 2!

ry%3D400

We had breakfast at pop food court and I must say this was the first time I have been disappointed in the food here. I really wanted a Mickey waffle but the only had the ones for kids so I got the pop waffle and Devyn got the Mickey waffles with milk. The food was Luke warm and not as good as it has been in the past.

Devyn really wanted to ride a Disney bus and today was his day. we got on the bus to the magic kingdom and watched the morning show. We went straight to fantasyland. Our first ride was the little mermaid. It was so cute I loved it!

ry%3D400

of course, I knew all the songs!!

Afterwards, I took dev to see the mermaid!, he calls her.

ry%3D400

My picture is not the best but this was very cute. This was the 1st time I got dev a autograph and he would get the autograph and bring the book to me, then go back for a picture. Funny thing is he always forgot the pen and the characters would start chasing him. Meeting Ariel was different because he basically jumped off the rock and ran back to her and she could not move in her fins.

We went to Dumbo and the barnstormer next.

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

We walked onto everything all day! It was amazing! I assume the crowds were low because of the 24 hour event the night before. We went to see the characters and no one was in there. I t was perfect!

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

Coming out of the tent. K got her some Minnie ears! I was so happy she was getting into the spirit. She actually is going back with her sister next month!

ry%3D400

Dev has a thing for roller coasters and I told him he was finally tall enough to ride the roller coaster train. So we left fantasyland and walked towards frontierland but we had a delay. Let me tell you from now on, i will be wearing a hat to Disney world! I always have this thing about birds and trees and it happened.

A bird pooped in my head!!!!!!!!!

ewwww!!

Just as we were walking i was thinking i hope a bird doesn't poop in my head, it happened. You should have seen the looks I got when i ran into the bathroom and started washing my hair under the water. I have been paranoid ever since that experience thinking about poop in my head.

After that life changing experience, which apparently is fine because according to the old people, bird poop in your head is good luck! Yet I'm still waiting on the good luck.

We made it to BTMRR and I took this pick for the occasion. You can see my hair is wet.

ry%3D400

Here is a close up

ry%3D400

Devyn loved it but he would not let go of the rail.

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

It was so hot, we left and rode POTC because it was cool on the inside but once we got out. HOTNESS!! I decided that this meant we needed a liberty swirl from sleepy hallow and K got a funnel cake. Loved it!!

I asked Dev what he wanted to ride next and as much as i tried the only thing he wanted to do was ride the monorail train. It was so hot I just said les go! We went to the monorail .

ry%3D400

We switched trains at the TTC and rode it to EPCOT. My child was in heaven!! He loves the monorail train!!!!

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

We took the bus from EPCOT back to POP. We decide to stick around until our ADR. I, for one, never sleep in Disney until this day. I knew K wanted to nap she works nights and naps help keep her schedule not too crazy. I fell asleep too. According to K, I feel asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow and Dev was up. I thought he was sleep before I even laid down but it wasn't true. She said he keep waking up. Although I know everyone was sleep when I woke up.

Ewwww! A bird pooped on your head???

Here's to that fabled good luck.

Great day!

Everyone was up by 3:30pm and we took a bus to AK and then a bus to the beach club from there.

ry%3D400

Our ADR was for 5:20 at

ry%3D400

I love this place mainly because of the crab legs and we are coming back in September.

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

After dinner, we went back to Magic Kingdom

ry%3D400

I asked Dev what he wanted to ride and it could be nothing more than the carrousel. Usually, I am like we can do this at home but I am so glad we went Dev was super excited. Look at his excited face. It melted my heart.

ry%3D400

we spent most of the night in fantasyland and ended back at petes tent so K could get some gifts for her fam and dev and I could enjoy a glacier and a dumbo cupcake.

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

Then I spent an arm and a leg on this cute popcorn basket. At least the popcorn was fabulous as usual.

ry%3D400

We rode the people mover or the blue train from the words of a 3 year old.

ry%3D400

Then Dev wanted to drive the cars so we rode the speedway. I love that smile on his face!

ry%3D400

We took a bathroom break and sat down next to Pinocchio's village haus and next thing you know it was time for wishes. I haven't seen wishes from here since my CP and it was amazing. It was like you were in the middle because some things were in the front of the castle and some behind us.

ry%3D400

We decided to do some shopping on our way out and we left around 11pm. I was so sad but the bus came and I want to say thank you to the gentlemen who let me sit down. We have been very lucky getting on empty buses but this was the 1st time it was crowded and anyone had to stand. Devyn was sad and wanted to sit. I tried to explain to him that we have to share the seats with others when someone got up for us and Thank you who ever or where ever you are.

What a happy little boy you have in the pictures. He must have been just bursting with excitement and joy.

That dumbo cupcake is just gorgeous! Did you get that at the bakery?

Day 3:
The worst thing about a weekend trip is how fast they go by. Today we were leaving but not before breakfast. We left POP and went to breakfast at Chef mickey's. WE opted out of the photo because we were not going to buy it anyway. I loved it, K loved it, and Devyn really loved it. He got his autograph book out and he was ready. Food was good. and the character interaction was great as usually. Overall, we enjoyed it very much!

ry%3D400

Here is devyn's excited face again

ry%3D400

He loved the strawberries!

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

Twirling his napkin

ry%3D400

So sad this pic was blurry, he got a kiss from Minnie.

ry%3D400

Look at that big smile!

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

I had to get one with my 2 guys for my birthday!
