I wanna go back and my DS does too, he told me so!Sept 13. New TR

I have been making ADRs this week and unlike those on DW property who can make all of theirs at once, I do it daily. However, I have had zero issues as well even with character meals. I have had to provide credit card info for each one. I agree that it's easier due to the penalties, prepaying for CRT in full and providing credit card info.
I do wonder if some people are on the fence about the Disney Dining Plan and will add it and make ADRs once it's announced? Historically, it's been announced in late April for August/September but I don't know if this affects anything? I did make sure I made any ADRs I wanted just in case they do announce free dining since then the restaurants will be full.

We have never really had a problem getting ADR even when booking late but we never tried for CRT or ohana or the real popular places before. I know some people will make them just in case and some people will not becasue they believe that if reservations and are full, Disney will not offer free dining. For us, it was not a problem becasue we are going regardless. We only use dining to prepay for meals ahead of time. I think we may forgo it in the future becasue there are times when i just want to order an appitizer. We are using it this time mainly becasue we want to try so many new places, 2 credit meals, and character meals for my DS birthday!

We have another thing in common it seems. I was put on bedrest too at 16 weeks in hospital because I have an incompetent cervix (hate that term by the way, incompetent?). I had a cerclage put in at 13 weeks but I continued to dilate and it tore at 22 weeks and then I was on borrowed time. At least I was in hospital and monitored carefully. I am in Canada so am grateful as the medical bills would have been astronomical for everything I and my daughter went through. I finally had the c section at 26 weeks as I went into full labor and my daughter turned and started slipping out in the breach position.

Thanks for the advice.

Shut the front door, This is sooo crazy! This is the exact same thing i had. incompetent? boo .:confused3 . Anyway I had a cerclage as well but my dr said it was some funneling going on. Till this day, I am not sure what that is but she called me to the office and sent me straight to the hospital for bedrest. I was fine though and my son was born full term. I actually had to be induced! after all that can you believe it!! But thankfully we have some helthy babies!!

So I totally thought I had subscribed to this thread, but apparently not. :confused3 Sorry, but I am all caught up now! I'm glad you got all the ADR's you wanted! :thumbsup2 Really awesome that you were able to get Be Our Guest on your party night. I want to eat there, but we will probably settle for lunch and hopefully can get in without waiting forever in line!

I didn't even try to book BoG. I thought I'd take my chance and maybe line up for lunch. Hopefully, the lines will be better. If not, it gives me an excuse to go back. :thumbsup2

I always look for reasons to go back. :rotfl:

Heck...I don't even need to look for a reason to go back. :lmao:

Our September trip is 137 days away!!!!! YAHOOOO:cool1: However! I have some great news. First so excited to hear about the free dining rumors and I am so happy for this because we need a discount!!! Second I finally broke down and got a Disney Visa! I was trying to avoid it but I did not. Finally, I am assuming by now you guys heard about the announcement of magic kingdom being open 24 hours on may 24th!! You also no that my move has taken me 3 hours from Disney world.
Yesterday was exactly one month till my 27th birthday and my amazing dad surprised me with a ticket to Disney world to go to magic kingdom when it is open for 24 hours, which means im going to my happy place next month for my birthday!:rotfl2::cool1::lmao: I have my best friend who said she would go but she is not a Disney loving person . She asked to go though because I mean we miss each other. We don't get to hang out much since I moved. Unfortunately, my dear son will be home with my parents but it is fine. I haven't had any Disney time with adults only in 4 years. I kind of feel bad leaving him home. He loves it! but I have no intentions to take him and have him out half the night.

WOW! Great news for you if the FD rumours are true. I'll have everything crossed for you. And great score on the 24-hour MK day.

Happy 1 month before your birthday! :goodvibes

Shun - I just realised....I'm checking into WDW on the 29th September and will be at MK on the 30th. Have you worked out your park days yet?

MK.....30th September......:rolleyes1

Never mind! Just remembered you changed your dates forward. :(

That's SO AWESOME that you get to go for the 24 hour event! If only we lived a little closer to Disney World... I can't wait to see pics! Are you planning to try to stay the whole 24 hours or just at night?

Thank you! I was so thrilled! My dad told me he never knew someone who wanted to spend there 27th birthday in Disney world.

:upsidedow
Its ok! For a quick second I forgot that I changed the dates

We are arriving on the 24th so it will just be half the day and half the night. I kind of feel like I should take DS because we just don't spend time together because of work and I miss him. He is growing so fast. I just need someone to go who would stay with him if I did

I got a disney visa about 2 weeks ago and today I was able to book free dining for my trip!!!!!!!!! However, and I knew it was coming the little mermaid rooms at art of animation are excluded so, we upgraded to a moderate resort. POFQ, which as a new for all of us. I really could not decide becasue even though i knew the mermaid rooms would be excluded i was still hoping they were not on the inside and french quarter was the 1st thing to pop into my head so i went with it. Do you guys think i made the right choice? Do you think the boys would like riverside or coronado better. Carribean is not a contender. I hope to stay in the pirate rooms when devyn gets a little older but not at this time. Im ok though because we upgraded to deluxe dining it was only 90 dollars difference more to make the move to the moderate but we still saved some money The rumors are true!! O and I will be at POP at then end of this month for my birthday!!!!!!:cool1:

YAY!!! Congrats on FD.

I think you can't go wrong with either POFQ or POR. I've stayed at POR and CSR. I personally prefer POR.

I picked POR because of the food court and we stayed in the Mansion section. For my family, it was great. The pool was fantastic and whilst it was a bigger resort, we liked that it was green and lush.

I haven't stayed at POFQ but it is a smaller resort; and it looks charming. It may suit you better.

You're definitely doing the right thing with the moderate and upgrading to Deluxe dining. :thumbsup2

Thank you!:dance3:

I don't have a preference yet because we have never stayed in a moderate on deluxe and values. When the castmemeber told me the mermaid rooms were excluded POFQ was just the 1 st one to pop into my head but I am really excited about it. POR looks nice too though!

HEY Disney loving humans!!!! Free dining was lie my life for a week but since the news has coma and gone I feel free. :rotfl2: So what is new in my Disney planning? How about a couple of new trips that are in my future?

Trip1: Well I have already told everyone about my wonderful birthday trip coming up in 13 days!! What is sad though is I have to go to the dentist the day before we leave. :worried: I have one of my best friends and devyns godmother who is coming with us. Devyn is also coming along. At one point I was going to leave him home and try to stay in MK all night but as much as my kid loves Disney, I could not do it. He has been wanting to ride the monorail train in forever. So the plan is for us to go to MK for about 10 hours from 5 pm to 3 am. Call it bad parenting but my son has stayed up that late before and I actually had to make him go to bed. This usually happens when he takes a late nap around 3 pm. If not well, that is what strollers are for.

Trip 2; Well this is the trip this PTR is actually for. I made devyn an autograph book. I saw on here someone using the photo books off shutterfly. I got a code for a free one and used old pictures to make the book. I did still however have to pay shipping which was $7.95. I will get pictures later.

Trip 3: Well after getting several no's or I need to save offers from friends. I came up with this idea to go back with my best friends and our kids. My friends who I will call D and K are my best friends. We three became friends in the 6th grade and have been since. They informed me that they needed time to save so I jumped and told them well lets go early next year. They gave grain to love me and appreciate my Disney freak weirdness, as they call it, but have agreed to go if I just plan and find the most affordable way to go. I wasn't going to say no was I?:rotfl: IT was between winter break and spring break. They do not want to take their kids out of school. I went with winter break which is in February because I don't want to do spring break unless necessary or until the kids are in middle school. They agreed! :cool1: 5 days/4 nights for 7 of us!

Trip 4: I have wanted to do this forever and I finally broke down and decided to go for it and use income tax return to pay it off next year. Next May will be our very FIRST DISNEY CRUISE!!!!! I have only ever been on 1 cruise and it was carnival back in the day. It was fun because it was most all of my mom's family. Grandma, my mom and sister, my aunt and uncles and all my cousins and I had just turned 18. I remember this because we boarded at port Canaveral and I too so many pictures of the Disney boat because I so wanted to be on that and exactly 8 years later, I will be on the ship!! I just booked it and I haven't told anybody not even my family I did this and I will because my mom has always wanted to go on a Disney cruise but she is a teacher and they do not get out of school in time and the prices go up in June. I am so confused. I am not use to a Disney cruise, I hardly know where to start.

Trip 5: This trip is not planned or even has a suggested date but for the past 2 years I have been trying to get my best friend to Disney. S I will call her is 26 as well and has never been to Disney world. She had to work my birthday weekend so she could not go her next vacation is in September but It is for the week before our trip during labor day. We are lifelong Best friends. I have long her for so long since I was young that I do not remember when I meet her but my oldest memory of her was when I was like 5 I think. We grew up together going to the same church. I am going to incite her on the cruise if she can make it. If not, I really would like to take her in October for MNSSHP and F&W festival. I in fact have never been to F&W so it would be a first for both of us. After the other two trips next year if financially able, I think that would be a good time for us.

So while I have all these plans going through my head. February trip with friends is still not booked or a solid yeas but that is the goal. I t depends on how much we can do it for. With 7 of us, I am for the first time in years considering options off site. I think It would be more affordable for us to rent a condo or a vacation home. The last time my family did that it was one of the best trips ever! I was young and before I discovered the dis but it was with my whole mom's family again and all almost 20 of us rented a 7 bedroom house with a private pool. We only went to MK and to islands of adventures and it was right smack in July but we had an amazing time. I miss the days we use to take trips like this.

That's a lot of very exciting trips in the pipeline. Well done you.

Sounds like you'll be busy planning.

For the Cruise, I get awfully seasick so I have never even contemplated getting on one but I would recommend that you head over to the DCL part of the boards. There are a lot of Dis-sers that like to cruise and most of them seem friendly. I do lurk on that section of the board and a couple of Dis-sers that I'm friendly with have posted TRs there.

And good luck getting the Feb plans solid. I believe a lot of people like the Windsor Hills area. :thumbsup2
