I Told You Driving Was Bad For Your Health! *2/2* NEW TRIP REPORT LINK P102

The balloon ride looks really awesome! In the past decade or so I've developed this insane fear of heights. It's really weird because I didn't have it through college and medical school but now I just can't look down from very high places. So I may not be going on this balloon ride anytime soon but I'm sure the kids will begin asking for it once they get a little older. Great views! It's amazing how much unused land exists in the World! And it's funny how certain structures in the park are more noticeable than others. I wouldn't have thought that ToT and Everest would have stuck out that high compared to other structures around it.

We haven't visited any water parks yet but Typhoon Lagoon looks like fun! My brother's family is going with us in January and they will be arriving a couple of days earlier than we will so they were looking into going to Typhoon Lagoon. I had to warn them that in January the temps are so unpredictable that it may be too cold to go.

I hate it when I get sales people who act like I am a waste of their time.

I am trying to talk Jeremy into taking a "flight" in the balloon. It looks so peaceful up there.

Congrats on the VGF purchase! I am sure it will be lovely to stay there.

Wow - what a beautiful view from the balloon! You really can see quite far!

Sorry about the burning skin at TL. It did help me feel a little warmer as I sit here with temps barely going to crack zero today!!! Yeah, it's winter in Minnesota.

Shiny! I love that description. Hate the attitude. I would have been tempted to say no and buy from someone else! Congrats!! At which resorts do you own?

So the picture with the kitchen sink, toaster and coffee pot was in the studio yes?
I'm thinking about trying for a couple days there on our next trip. It wouldn't be for a while - late 2014 or 2015. You never know, right?

The photos are gorgeous. Love seeing the aerial shots of SSR. Michael really likes SSR so I'm going to show him your pics. It seems like the time to go is early morning, first in line too.

Going right at 8:30 am really worked for us. We loved it. And SSR is SO pretty. We are staying there two nights in March. We have a quick 4 day trip over to the Tampa Bay area, but we are going to fly home for Orlando so we decided to stay two nights at SSR. I'm really looking forward to it.

Fulton's reminds me of a place we'd go eat in high school before dances. The name escapes me but it was a big docked boat in Newport Beach I believe. If any So Cal peeps are reading this, let me know if you know the name. It's driving me nuts.

There a place that looks like Fultons in Lancaster PA. Completely lame though because its not in any body of water.

Some of those *off* property resorts seem very close to *on* property.

Our really was. We had no trouble getting to and from the parks. I really did like the location because it was quiet, yet close to everything.

Woohoo on the new VGF points and :welcome: home. Send whatever spell Denny was under over this way because that's exactly what I'd like at the GCV; a 50 point contract that would allow us a week every other year at Disneyland.

:rotfl:Denny was TOTALLY under a spell. I really didn't expect that. And I sure as heck was going to say NO. I'm very excited to stay there in the fall. I wanted to stay sooner but I decided not to borrow points. That March use year killed us.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that the GCV contract becomes yours. It sound perfect. Christmas present perhaps?

What's the construction like in DTD?

We did not go there at all in October, so I have no idea. Well, actually I heard its pretty bad. There was some construction in June that really impacted parking more than anything else.

Isn't it strange how stuff like that happens as you get older. Yup - I don't think Flights of Wonder is in your future although I really did not find the height unnerving, If you focus on taking pix you will be fine.

Medical school? What type of practice are you in? I'm an NP in a busy cardiac surgery program. I love it most of the time, but there are days when I wish I was in primary care or a walk in clinic. It gets stressful sometimes.

Great views! It's amazing how much unused land exists in the World! And it's funny how certain structures in the park are more noticeable than others. I wouldn't have thought that ToT and Everest would have stuck out that high compared to other structures around it.

Everest is 195 feet tall. I learned that on the KTTK tour. There is a low in Florida that everything 200ft or higher has to have a beacon, so that's why it comes in 5 feet below that. The balloon goes over 200 feet but since its not a stationary object it does not have to abide by that law. I think ToT might be 190 feet. :confused3 I forget. I'd have to look it up.

I've only been once in January and I know it can be very hit or miss. I got 80 degree amazing weather, but this one cardiologist I know went one year when they had a deep freeze. I had to listen to him complain for several days after he returned. He still talks about it 5 years later. :faint:

TL is really pretty. I hope they get great weather.

I hate it when I get sales people who act like I am a waste of their time.

It's distracting, that's for sure. I guess the guy knows he has a great product and it practically sells itself. I don't think he even needs to work for a sale. Maybe I made him sound a little worse than he was, but he definitely seemed like he had a million other things going on.

II am trying to talk Jeremy into taking a "flight" in the balloon. It looks so peaceful up there.

It really was. You guys should definitely try it. It was pretty amazing. Remember - early morning!

ICongrats on the VGF purchase! I am sure it will be lovely to stay there.

I am SO excited to stay there. I know its going to be wonderful. I can't wait until I see pictures start showing up in other people's TRs. pinkocto (pam) is there right now. I'm SO jealous.

Wow - what a beautiful view from the balloon! You really can see quite far!

It was really amazing and it was so fun to look through my long lens and try to pick out landmarks. I loved that!

Sorry about the burning skin at TL. It did help me feel a little warmer as I sit here with temps barely going to crack zero today!!! Yeah, it's winter in Minnesota.

Fortunately that did NOT happen again when we visited BB in October. It was a little unnerving at first because I couldn't tell what was going on down there. :rotfl: At first I thought I literally had a chemical burn.

Zero degrees? :faint: It's pretty cold here today, but definitely NOT zero! BRRRRRRR!

Shiny! I love that description. Hate the attitude. I would have been tempted to say no and buy from someone else! Congrats!! At which resorts do you own?

My GF came up with that. It's stuck every since. :rotfl:

You know with another product I may have wanted another salesperson, but with this product I don't think it really matters. The funny thing is I have never met my guide because are other contracts were all resale.

Our first contract is at SSR and our second is at VWL. I specifically wanted 100 points for the second contract and it was REALLY hard to find through resale. We (well I) looked for quite awhile. I knew if we bought anything else it would have to come from Disney. The 50 point resale contracts disappear fast.

So the picture with the kitchen sink, toaster and coffee pot was in the studio yes?

Yes

I'm thinking about trying for a couple days there on our next trip. It wouldn't be for a while - late 2014 or 2015. You never know, right?

Go for it. What not? If it's not available you can always wait list.

I am doing a standard view the first time, then a lake view. I have a feeling once I do the lake view I won't want to go back.

Medical school? What type of practice are you in? I'm an NP in a busy cardiac surgery program. I love it most of the time, but there are days when I wish I was in primary care or a walk in clinic. It gets stressful sometimes.

I'm a pediatrician at a children's hospital. Most days I like my job but there are days where I just want to throw my hands up in the air. :goodvibes

I'm a pediatrician at a children's hospital. Most days I like my job but there are days where I just want to throw my hands up in the air. :goodvibes

:rotfl2: I can certainly relate to that. Very cool though. Tough job. I bet you see all kinds of stuff and all sorts of family dynamics.

I am very lucky to live near Nemours Alfred I DuPont Hospital for children in Wimington, DE. My child received excellent care there, mostly for a variety of orthopedic problems, but there were a few ER visits involved as well.

Flights of Wonder has never been really high on my list, but you got some breathtaking photos! You might have created a convert for a future trip. :rolleyes1

Love Typhoon Lagoon! Need to go back there sometime. ::yes::

VGF looks really beautiful! Amazing rooms. :goodvibes

MEK, Yes now the balloon is added to my bucket list.... :lmao:

Not afraid of heights, it the falling out that I would not be fond of, or rather the sudden stop at the end.

Beautiful pictures and I think taking pictures would take my mind of being 200 feet in the air.

TL--Sounds like the alkalinity may have been off a bit or all the other sunscreen /lotions may have irritated your skin. Summertime has more evaporation so all the yucky stuff may just be more concentrated with the increased bather load.

GCV- the models look great and I can tell you they look fabulous for real too. :rolleyes1 I really need to get pictures up - I meant to when I got back but I scored a tour at the villas the day before the opening. :rolleyes1

Holy cow the Grand villas is HUGE.

Wow I was so far behind - I hadn't been here since I left for my vacation in October.

Pardon the randomness of my comments - I'm still catching up and using notepad to make comments as I read along.

Nice morning in the Animal Kingdom. Did you use a zoom to get the cheetahs? They always seem to be hiding way in the back.

Nemo....we haven't been back to Nemo for a little while. Time to visit that show again! i try to mix them up so that we are not seeing the same show every trip.

IMG_3434_zps0247de69.jpg

this resort does look very pretty. I like the siesta breaks mid day. It let you start early and finish late - best of both worlds!!

Great photos of Celebration! I actually looked at the Celebration Inn for our weekend getaway in January but Joe wanted to be closer to DTD. Now that I saw your photos from the lobby, I'm a little sorry I didn't make them there. (but we will be at the Wyndham, right across the street from DTD so how bad can that be!).

The streets an buildings really do make you think of the little cottages behind the Boardwalk, or maybe SSR. The sign for "authentic new england food" in Florida cracks me up.

Raglan Road looks so cute but all of the reviews are like yours -- 50/50 on the food. hmmm maybe just drinks are the way to go?

GORGEOUS sunset pictures Mary Ellen!!

Oh just read annmarieda's comment on the breadpudding at RR. Joe "discovered" bread pudding at WDW in october and is now hooked. hmmmm we may have to add RR to our short list!!

oh my gosh I just read the dates of your girls trip. can you believe that SOMEONE in my house will be there the same time as you....but no me BOOOOO Joe is going with his sisters. and I just scored BOG ressies for them for Friday night. dang it.

what? AND you're staying at OKW. ok this sucks. But Katie will melt down if Joe and I go to WDW again in May...and it looks like his sisters are not backing out. sigh

Your MK jaunt for the evening was fun! I love how clear the view of the park is from BTMRR at night. Very cool to catch fireworks there!
You have some impressive shots in the haunted mansion. I have the bride's voice "hurry baaack, hurry baaaaack" as my message notification on my phone. I keep telling Joe "Its DisneyWorld, calling me back. Gotta go!!!"

WOW awesome shots from the balloon ride. LOVE them!

The water park looks like fun, but I know what you mean about the chlorine. I love visiting WDW and hitting the pools but it takes my skin about a week or so to recover when we get home. I actually have learned to cut back on the hot tub time (which is sad just cuz Joe loves to kick back in the hot tub on vacation) because the heat + chlorine is just too much. I noticed at Hershey Park last summer that they use salt water in their water park, much easier on the skin for me.

Can't believe it was Denny who pulled you into the koolaid pool LOL but awesome too.

I'll try not to get so far behind!

Flights of Wonder has never been really high on my list, but you got some breathtaking photos! You might have created a convert for a future trip. :rolleyes1

Do it! Do it! It's really very cool! I loved it. I am hoping that Cynthia and I go again in May! It's so cool!

Love Typhoon Lagoon! Need to go back there sometime. ::yes::

It's a great water park. I think I like it better than BB, although we got a chance to visit BB in October and they are both well done. I'm glad we got the opportunity to visit the WP's with our PAP. It's a nice perk.

VGF looks really beautiful! Amazing rooms. :goodvibes

The models were stunning. I really can't wait to stay in the villas. I can't believe I have to wait another 10 months, but at least I will get to stay there. So excited! ::yes::

MEK, Yes now the balloon is added to my bucket list.... :lmao:

I would put that right to the top of your list. It's awesome. You will love it it! The view is amazing.

Not afraid of heights, it the falling out that I would not be fond of, or rather the sudden stop at the end.

I don't think its possible to fall out, even if you were to try. Pretty sure they have that covered. :rotfl2: It doesn't stop suddenly. You don't even realize it when you've gotten to the top. It's very subtle.

Beautiful pictures and I think taking pictures would take my mind of being 200 feet in the air.

That worked really well for me! :thumbsup2

TL--Sounds like the alkalinity may have been off a bit or all the other sunscreen /lotions may have irritated your skin. Summertime has more evaporation so all the yucky stuff may just be more concentrated with the increased bather load.

I knew you would know the chemistry behind the burn. That makes total sense. It really hurt. But in October I did the loop at BB and it didn't bother me a bit.

GCV- the models look great and I can tell you they look fabulous for real too. :rolleyes1 I really need to get pictures up - I meant to when I got back but I scored a tour at the villas the day before the opening. :rolleyes1

Holy cow the Grand villas is HUGE.

Darn girl - how did THAT happen? You are so lucky! How cool! I can't wait to stay there and I can't wait to see your pictures. Please let me the second you post those pictures! ::yes::

Wow I was so far behind - I hadn't been here since I left for my vacation in October.

Well welcome back stranger! I'm so glad you stopped by!

Pardon the randomness of my comments - I'm still catching up and using notepad to make comments as I read along.

No randomness at all! I give you props for taking notes!

Nice morning in the Animal Kingdom. Did you use a zoom to get the cheetahs? They always seem to be hiding way in the back.

Yes - I zoomed in as far as I could and I got them. Most of the time I can't even see them with the zoom. It was almost like they were posing for me.

Nemo....we haven't been back to Nemo for a little while. Time to visit that show again! i try to mix them up so that we are not seeing the same show every trip.

I LOVE Nemo. It's my favorite. As much as I love FOTLK, nothing can beat Nemo IMHO. The colors, the characters! I just love it!

IMG_3434_zps0247de69.jpg

this resort does look very pretty. I like the siesta breaks mid day. It let you start early and finish late - best of both worlds!!

Exactly! The resort was really nice. I was really comfortable there. I really enjoyed our little afternoon siestas.

OMG - The Celebration Inn looks so cool and its really not that far away from DTD. But I'm sure you are going to love the Wyndham. Hey - what's not to love. You will be in Disney! :cool1:

The streets an buildings really do make you think of the little cottages behind the Boardwalk, or maybe SSR. The sign for "authentic new england food" in Florida cracks me up.

The owners are from Boston and they told us they actually import the seafood from Boston, so I guess its possible. I definitely need to try that place.

Raglan Road looks so cute but all of the reviews are like yours -- 50/50 on the food. hmmm maybe just drinks are the way to go?

Drinks and dessert. Supposedly the desserts are pretty fantastic!

GORGEOUS sunset pictures Mary Ellen!!

Thanks. Mother Nature was definitely the star of the show that night!

Oh just read annmarieda's comment on the breadpudding at RR. Joe "discovered" bread pudding at WDW in october and is now hooked. hmmmm we may have to add RR to our short list!!

Yup - the bread pudding is supposed to be super yummy!

oh my gosh I just read the dates of your girls trip. can you believe that SOMEONE in my house will be there the same time as you....but no me BOOOOO Joe is going with his sisters. and I just scored BOG ressies for them for Friday night. dang it.

Are you SERIOUS? Joe is going with his sisters and YOU are staying home. That can't be. :faint:

what? AND you're staying at OKW. ok this sucks. But Katie will melt down if Joe and I go to WDW again in May...and it looks like his sisters are not backing out. sigh

What? Is Joe staying there? Are you sure there is no way you can go along? OMG. That's, well, I'm speechless. :faint:

Your MK jaunt for the evening was fun! I love how clear the view of the park is from BTMRR at night. Very cool to catch fireworks there!

It was very fun! I love riding BTMMR while the fireworks are in full force. It's such a cool and freeing feeling!

You have some impressive shots in the haunted mansion. I have the bride's voice "hurry baaack, hurry baaaaack" as my message notification on my phone. I keep telling Joe "Its DisneyWorld, calling me back. Gotta go!!!"

:rotfl: That's awesome! What a great choice for a ring tone! I love that!

WOW awesome shots from the balloon ride. LOVE them!

Thanks. The balloon was super cool. I definitely recommend it. You guys should check it out in January. Remember - first ride of the day - 8:30 am! You'll love it!

Salt water? Interesting. Yeah - the chlorine tears up my skin and my hair. But its worth it for some pool time. I try to get my hair done right before I go! :thumbsup2

Can't believe it was Denny who pulled you into the koolaid pool LOL but awesome too.

Pretty shocking, right? I was surprised as well. I don't know what got into him that day. All I know is I got me some VGF points and that's a good thing! :woohoo:

I'll try not to get so far behind!

Well, thanks for getting all caught up. I'm pretty impressed!

The balloon ride looked amazing! I can't believe all you could see- so much of the parks and the surrounding resorts and areas. Thanks for the tip about being the first ride of the day.

I love Typhoon Lagoon- the theming there is incredible and the soundtrack playing throughout the park is really fun. I enjoyed your pictures, but sorry that you were able to take them because you couldn't go back in the water.

I don't do any of the steep body slides- not a fan of water in my face or wedgies but I do love raft slides. Shark Reef- Slusher Gusher- Wave Pool are all unique experiences, but the family ride at Blizzard Beach is much better than the one here.

Thanks for the tour and description of the GFV. Congrats on your purchase! I look forward to seeing more detailed pictures when you actually stay there.

Darn girl - how did THAT happen? You are so lucky! How cool! I can't wait to stay there and I can't wait to see your pictures. Please let me the second you post those pictures! ::yes::

Started with the story. Pictures going up now.... :)

All caught up!

Looks like you had a great night at MK! How nice to have a POTC boat almost all to yourself.

We have talked about doing the hot air balloon at DTD, but haven't actually done it lol You really get a great view up there, your pictures are beautiful!

Congratulations on the GF points!! So exciting!!

Amazing balloon pictures! Now I really want to go...on a day just like that! Me no likey at all your burning skin after being in the water, that is AWFUL! wow. Just wow.

Shiny person :rotfl: that cracks me up!

YAY for your fabulous new points boo for the UY bummer. Other than burning skin, pretty great day!

But before we hit the water park we decided that now was the time to take that balloon ride.

Yay! Every time I go to ride it, it's grounded for wind or something.

I noticed it had been up in the air every morning, likely as an advertisement.

And it works!

So what else did I see besides Fulton's and Saratoga Springs?

A lot! The view looks great. You've definitely got me wanting to try this!:thumbsup2

Some orange thing. anybody know what that is?

Nuclear waste site. Don't worry about it.

Our Tour Guide. He was awesome and, since we were the first ride of the day, we got to stay up 20 minutes instead of the usual 10.

Here are his next costumers. Tip - If you are the first ride of the day he will keep you up there until the next people show. 8:30am is the perfect time to ride!

Duly noted! Definitely worth getting up early.

A word about our tour guide. He was pretty cool. His parents sent him to Florida to go to school to be a golf pro. To pick up some extra money he started working for the company that runs the Flights in Wonder balloon. He said he loves his job so much that it will likely turn into a permanent career. His parents were skeptical, until the went up in the balloon. Now they are converts.

Really? He makes enough for it to be a career? And why couldn't I do that for a living?

My Facebook picture for the morning

Within 5 minutes or less we had arrived at our next destination, Typhoon Lagoon.

Fell in love with this place on the last trip. Love the theme.

I took all those pictures with my phone, but I did bring my camera for later. Denny and I found a couple seats in the shade, I hid my camera, and we went to ride the Slush n Gusher. That was so fun. I'm not gonna lie - I was a little nervous, since I haven't to a water park in For-ever, but it was definitely more fun the frightening.

Crush 'n Gusher is FANTASTIC! My daughter and I could have ridden that all day long.:thumbsup2

Next we went over to the family raft ride and another raft ride. Those were fun as well. We met this adorable little girl in line with her family. She really didn't want to go on the raft ride, but her family kept trying to convince her that she would love it. She was nervous the whole way, but when she finally finished the ride she was smiling ear to ear. How cute. I had to "high-five" her after watching her conquer her fears.

All together now: Awwwwwww...

The chlorine immediately started to irritate my skin to the point where I could have literally jumped in a tub of cold water. It was almost to the point where it hurt and I was scared that I had really done some damage to my skin. I tend to have very, very sensitive skin and can only use certain soaps and laundry detergents. OUCH!

 Oh, that stinks! Or stings, I guess.

The wave pool sort of scares me. So many people. Too easy to crash into someone, so I skipped the wave pool altogether.

Oh, but it's so much fun!

I hope if you're in a part of the country where its cold and dreary now, I hope those pictures made you feel a bit warmer.

After the weather we've had, I needed that!

So off we went with exactly one hour to shower, change, and grab something to eat. So for the second day in a row we grabbed some Chik-fil-a. Hey, don't judge me.

Why would I judge you? It's delicious!

I said, "Don't worry. We're not buying anything".

Famous last words.

Stole my line. :rotfl2:

Our guide was what I like to refer to as a "shiny person". That's what we always used to call the drug reps at work. You know the type - well groomed, well manicured, expensive shoes, nice clothes, and a very self-assured attitude. A lot of the guys actually put that shiny stuff in their hair to slick it back. Hence the term- shiny person! This particular guide acted like there were 1000 other things he would rather be doing than spending time with us. He bordered on pompous. I tried not to let it distract me.

That alone would usually turn me off. Just give me my gift card and let me get out of there. :rotfl:

The coolest thing that caught my eye was the TV in the mirror in the bathroom. Really? WOW!

:cool1: I'm updating my Christmas list!

Of course Stacy was on TV in the background

On second thought, I want that job.

Strolling back to shiny man's office Denny said, "What do you think? Should we consider it?"

My response :faint:

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

But here was my DH ready to go ahead with this purchase. What was happening here people?

pixiedust:

Hey, we deserve a little luxury, right?

Exactly. That's why I drive a Hyundai now. Movin' on up! :lmao:

The balloon ride looked amazing! I can't believe all you could see- so much of the parks and the surrounding resorts and areas. Thanks for the tip about being the first ride of the day.

It really was a great experience. I definitely recommend it. It's such a great way to view the world. I haven't enjoyed a view that much since I went to the top of the WL.

I love Typhoon Lagoon- the theming there is incredible and the soundtrack playing throughout the park is really fun. I enjoyed your pictures, but sorry that you were able to take them because you couldn't go back in the water.

:rotfl: I would have taken that many pictures even if I had gone on more rides. I just would have skipped the ride back to the condo. :rotfl: I really enjoyed our time there. I just should have gotten out of the lazy river a little sooner.

I don't do any of the steep body slides- not a fan of water in my face or wedgies but I do love raft slides. Shark Reef- Slusher Gusher- Wave Pool are all unique experiences, but the family ride at Blizzard Beach is much better than the one here.

The family ride at BB is amazing. We did it in October. So. Much. Fun. :thumbsup2 I love all the raft rides too. Also not a fan of the body slides and water wedgies.

Thanks for the tour and description of the GFV. Congrats on your purchase! I look forward to seeing more detailed pictures when you actually stay there.

Thanks! I really can't wait to stay there. It's going to be so amazing!

Started with the story. Pictures going up now.... :)

I just commented! If only I had arrived a day earlier. Maybe I could have crashed too. You better call me when its time for the Poly crash!

All caught up!

YAY! :cool1:

Looks like you had a great night at MK! How nice to have a POTC boat almost all to yourself.

We had such a fun night at MK. Perfect weather. And being almost the only ones on POTC was pretty fun.

We have talked about doing the hot air balloon at DTD, but haven't actually done it lol You really get a great view up there, your pictures are beautiful!

Thanks. We loved it. I really recommend you give it a try. You definitely won't regret it. The view is amazing and it just feels so amazing to be that high up in the air with no one around.

Congratulations on the GF points!! So exciting!!

Thanks. It really is exciting. I honestly can't wait to stay there. It's going to be great!

Amazing balloon pictures! Now I really want to go...on a day just like that! Me no likey at all your burning skin after being in the water, that is AWFUL! wow. Just wow.

We really should go. It was just breath taking up there. I loved every minute of it. Not scary at all - just really COOL!

I know you have very sensitive skin so perhaps you can relate somewhat. Fortunately it didn't last long, but it was odd. Nothing like that has ever happened to me before and at first I was sure I had a chemical burn. Ouch.

Shiny person :rotfl: that cracks me up!

But you have to admit you know what I'm talking about. If you don't then you just need to get around a few pharmaceutical sales reps. :rolleyes1

YAY for your fabulous new points boo for the UY bummer. Other than burning skin, pretty great day!

Very great day.

Can you believe that about the UY? That was definitely almost a deal killer, but then it seemed silly to not buy because we had the misfortune of having the wrong UY. I'm glad we didn't let that deter us. :thumbsup2

Mark - I'll do your replies tomorrow. I am practically falling asleep right now.

I'm caught up, I believe.

Love your pictures at the MK at night. I agree with you...Big Thunder at night is the best (I won't go any further than that until I do my TR).

How cool that you got to go up in the balloon. Mark and I have tried to do that the last two years and it was shut down either because of rain or it was too windy. One of these days I will get up there. Your pictures from up there are spectacular.

I've not been to a water park since 2000. :faint: But that will be rectified during our May/June trip. Mary asked if I would mind going and I said I'd be happy to. I'm hoping she picks Typhoon Lagoon (I'm not a Blizzard Beach fan as much).

Congrats on your purchase at GFV. I saw Poolrat's pictures and they are quite lovely. I'll never get Mark to stay there, so it is nice seeing the photos.

Yay! Every time I go to ride it, it's grounded for wind or something.

It used to be grounded a lot, but recently it seems its up in the air a lot. I'm not sure if that's completely weather related. Maybe this new balloon is more stable or something.

And it works!

Obviously!

A lot! The view looks great. You've definitely got me wanting to try this!:thumbsup2

It's really cool. You would love it. The view is amazing. It's such a great, free feeling to be up there.

Nuclear waste site. Don't worry about it.

:rotfl2: Good one!

Duly noted! Definitely worth getting up early.

Definitely!

Really? He makes enough for it to be a career? And why couldn't I do that for a living?

Apparently so. He might be a manager or something. I think his goal is to move up in the company and maybe take over another site. Denny was listening more than I was. I was too busy taking pictures.

I love this!

Fell in love with this place on the last trip. Love the theme.

I agree. I like the theme better than BB. It just screams RELAX! Beautiful park!

Crush 'n Gusher is FANTASTIC! My daughter and I could have ridden that all day long.:thumbsup2

The first time I rode that with Nicholas he asked me to ride it again because my "weight made it go faster". Yum - yeah - I can't get that out of my head. :rotfl:

All together now: Awwwwwww...

Hey - It was a super cute moment!

 Oh, that stinks! Or stings, I guess.

Yup - stings it did. Fortunately it improved with distraction.

Oh, but it's so much fun!

Yes - but I am always afraid I am going to go crashing into someone. I'm actually surprised that doesn't happen. Or maybe it does? :confused3

After the weather we've had, I needed that!

It's been a pretty crazy December, hasn't it? I actually find it interesting to get some early season snow. It mixes things up a bit.

Why would I judge you? It's delicious!

That it is! :thumbsup2

Stole my line. :rotfl2:

Yes - I've learned from the master!

That alone would usually turn me off. Just give me my gift card and let me get out of there. :rotfl:

Unfortunately, they don't even give gift cards anymore for a tour. But we did get some instant FP's, so that's something. ;)

:cool1: I'm updating my Christmas list!

Good luck with that one!

On second thought, I want that job.

Me too!

Shall I demonstrate again? Here you go -> :faint:

I think you are right!

Exactly. That's why I drive a Hyundai now. Movin' on up! :lmao:

:rotfl2: You obviously have not see Denny's car. We are the family of beater cars. Sometimes its downright embarrassing. :rolleyes1

I'm caught up, I believe.

Yay! And Welcome back. I hope you guys had a great time!!!!!

Love your pictures at the MK at night. I agree with you...Big Thunder at night is the best (I won't go any further than that until I do my TR).

It is the best and I can't wait to read your TR! Do I detect a hint of some BTMRR night time action?

How cool that you got to go up in the balloon. Mark and I have tried to do that the last two years and it was shut down either because of rain or it was too windy. One of these days I will get up there. Your pictures from up there are spectacular.

It was so cool! You really must do it! The views and the feeling of freedom were just spectacular.

I've not been to a water park since 2000. :faint: But that will be rectified during our May/June trip. Mary asked if I would mind going and I said I'd be happy to. I'm hoping she picks Typhoon Lagoon (I'm not a Blizzard Beach fan as much).

I think TL is a good pick. It's got great scenery and great rides. I'm sure you and the girls will love it.

Congrats on your purchase at GFV. I saw Poolrat's pictures and they are quite lovely. I'll never get Mark to stay there, so it is nice seeing the photos.

OMG - that grand villa is AMAZING!!!!! Can you imagine staying there? How great would THAT be? But I will be just as happy to stay in a studio. I really can't wait.

You really don't think you could ever get Mark to stay there? Bummer!

Woo hoo, water park visit!!!!!

That's not a bad price for two people with the DVC discount. I've got to remember the DVC discount when we go.

What a great view! I'm super excited to go on it sometime.

Wow, how cool about your guide! To move down there to go to school to be a golf pro, and then to love your job at Character's in Flight. Awesome.

Typhoon Lagoon is a great choice. It's my favorite water park.

Oh no, that stinks about the chlorine! I'm sorry your skin got so irritated.

You will definitely crash into people in the wave pool. Good looking out not going in if you didn't want to collide with someone. :lmao:

Those were totally famous last words about not buying anymore DVC points.....

Gaaaahhh, I want to stay there so bad! I'm just doubting we're going to get it immediately because we don't own a contract.

I would have totally wasted shiny man's time.
