I thought tomorrow morning was my day to make ADRs but...

This is what I was told by Internet help:

My troubles were caused by having a split stay. December 11 is my checkOUT day at PoR, so I technically I should be able to reserve dining that day based on my first 180+10. However, "the system" sees my second resort reservation checking IN that same day (to the Poly), and resets my 180+ to that day. In other words, the second resort checkin date overrides my ability to make a dining reservation for my first resort checkout date. I can search and see availability, but when I try to reserve, the system kicks me out. My mind is slightly boggled.

I was assured that tomorrow I will have no problem whatsoever making dining reservations. Here's hoping!!!

Whew! Was on hold for 45 minutes, but finally had some success. The dining rep was able to reserve our Kona breakfast, as well as 'Ohana at 4:05 pm on December 11th. We are still hoping to find a later time at 'Ohana, but at least we are in!

I'm on hold now for the Disney Internet Help Desk. Hope we can get all the issues resolved!

Fill us in on what tech support says. They pretty much act like they don't know what's going on and tell me I'll hear back from someone via email and I never have, it has been a week now.

Well I finally got through after about an hour on hold. Was able to get 5 of the 7 ADRs that I wanted. Will keep trying for the others. I even got the times I wanted except 1 is a little earlier than I wanted but will probably work.

Didn't have time to talk to an IT guy as I was already running late for work.

OP here...like many of you, while the system was a little glitchy at first, I was able to make all of my ADRs!

I was wondering how all of us checking in fr the start of Free Dining December 10 were doing!
I got a couple error messages, got booted out a couple of times, had available times shown disappear when I clicked to reserve, but I kept trying and I technically got everything I wanted--just not the times I wanted. But I'll keep trying for a better Akershus time. I was really happy to find that I could use my DDP to reserve MBYBBQ rather than paying out of pocket to reserve and getting it refunded six months from now when they take two TS credits for it!

-BOG lunch
-Akershus...at 2:45pm--but I did not realize that dinner also had princesses, so I'm now willing to look for adjustments to breakfast, a proper noon lunch time, OR dinner. So I'm really hopeful *something* better will open up. And grateful to have anything, as this is our big princess activity.
-Whispering Canyon dinner (but way late for a family with kids 2-11yo)
-Trail's End dinner (but way late again)
-1900 Park Fare breakfast for DS3's birthday!!!!! Hurray! He requested Alice for his birthday, so this was probably the biggest deal for me.
-Beaches & Cream for his birthday Kitchen Sink dessert!
-Boma dinner
-'Ohana dinner (I was worried this one would be touch)

My answer had to do with our split stay and the quirky, glitchy way "the system" views the day you change resorts. However, I'm not sure whether the rep actually knew what she was talking about or was trying to appease me. I'll just say that she did not inspire confidence, lol. We will find out tomorrow. *fingers crossed*

Our dates are December 10 thru December 18. I booked CG on the 17th at 7 :30, I think, and Akershus for around 9 AM> I had to break CG into two ADR's with one under my DS name because I could not get one ADR for all of us. I did that with Narcoossees as well. So far, I am not sure if all of the group is going and so if not I will let my DS ADR's go. I really dislike indecision!!!

I'm going Dec 10-20, with Akershus on the 14th. The Nowhere Land 2:45pm reservation was the only one offered that day, and now I get nothing. I get nothing for Mama Melrose, TE, and WCC, too, so I can't currently adjust some things I'm re-thinking.

"Sorry for the Paws"!!! Is all I saw! December 10-14th is our trip! I could book Dec. 10th. But nothing after that! The times and restaurants I wanted all showed for 55 mins for the other days, but I couldn't get it to book on any device! By the time I got through on the phone they were all gone! So frustrated! Then after checking the ressies on the app to make sure they were correct, I accidentally cancelled our Crystal Palace ressie! Had to call back and had to rebook that one and had to take one that was a bit earlier than I had originally booked! It was a frustrating morning!!!

I had a brain wave that with 180+10, today should be the first day people can book Dec 20, so maybe I have a chance there. I still could not get Mama Melrose. I still could not get pre-opening, but I managed to get Akershus at 9:15am on Dec 18, 19, and 20. The problem is that our plans are to tour AK (dinner at Boma) on the 18th, MK (dinner at 'Ohana) on the 19th, and check out and then do a bit of MK on the 20th before driving away.
So I think we'll have to split one day before and after our toddler's nap, but you WDW vets have been successful in freaking out this DLR vet into thinking we're dooming ourselves to spending our entire day in transit with this kind of park hopping.
I'm leaning toward splitting the AK day, as I currently don't imagine we'll need a full day there because it will be our second AK day in our trip. But watch my kids want to see Lion King, Finding Nemo, or some play area all over again. And here is how relatively last-minute openings occur, as I currently have FOUR Akershus reservations, none of them at both the right time and day that I want. (We're following **************'s itinerary and a couple of crowd calendars for choosing parks.)
I will definitely let the cancellation thread know when I let go of most of these reservations.

There were 10:30am Akershus ressies open for Dec 18-20, BTW.

Today was my 180 day mark as well and the website was definitely glitchy this morning. I was using both my laptop and iPad. At one point, the website on the laptop stopped responding but I was able to continue working (albeit slowly) on my iPad. My reservations for my family of five (DH, DSons, DMom and I)are:

Crystal Palace lunch
Cape May Cafe breakfast
Chefs de France dinner (just DH and I)
BOG breakfast & lunch
Teppan Edo dinner
Tusker House breakfast and lunch - will only do one but waiting to see if lunch will be changed to 2 credits
Le Cellier dinner

Our Tusker House lunch reservation is for a party of six as there was nothing for five. I contacted the club level office to change that and they said not to worry and they just put a note in the reservation that it was in fact for five people. Fingers crossed this isn't an issue.

Still hoping to get Flying Fish for another dinner for DH and I, but they are not yet accepting reservations due to the renovations.

I have a split stay in Oct/Nov and had no issues booking reservations on the overlapping check out/check in day. I think IT gave you a BS answer.

I think I did really well. Booked all my ADRs yesterday @6:00am with no trouble from website(w/laptop) and ap(with iPad). However, when I went back to website this morning to see if I could adjust some of my ADR times my 180+10 was unavailable. Only had access to Dec. 10, 11. Disney Website is unreliable at best IMO. Thankfully it happened to me the day AFTER my 180+10 morning. I've read about many who had to deal with this yesterday. Must be VERY FRUSTRATING for them.

I've had a crazy mix of smooth experiences and lots of glitches and failures of varying types. Last night, I repeatedly could not book Tusker House despite being shown highly desirable times, and then got a 10:20am after more than a dozen attempts. But this morning got a 9:15am for the same day on my first try. Mama Melrose only offers Lunch times for me, so it makes me think they're holding back the dinner times until they are ready to offer F! packages? Or something?
I still can not get Trail's End or WCC earlier than 6:45pm, which is just too late for my kids. And I'm still hoping for Akershus breakfast on Dec 14, so I don't have to do a two-park day on the 18th.
Just a heads up: I'm doing some cancellations later today (approx. 1pm EDT when my toddler naps, all for party of 6) for Tusker House breakfast (10:20) and dinner (4:30) on Sunday, Dec 11, and Akershus for 9:15am on Dec 19 and 20, and for 2:45pm on Dec 14.
