Is a four night cruise really worth the money or does the time fly by....... I have been sitting around the office about to go crazy for a vaction...... I having been looking at several "cheap cruises" just to get away a few days with my son.... I have been on several cruises including DCL.... We love DCL and I was just wondering if we would be disappoited after always sailing 7 nights.

Please help!!!!!!

I am looking at booking next weekend Nov. 2nd

Thanks and as always you guys are the best

I always try for a seven night because i think i am more relaxed than a shorter cruise. However, even a three day is better than none at all if you need to factor in schedules and cost. Go for what you can get, and if it is a seven day great!

7 day cruises are definately more relaxing, but for a nice getaway a 4 day is fun. We did it twice - last May and this past Feb when the 4 day we did was the DVC Member Cruise.

If you can get one with a sea day instead of Freeport it will be even better!

I was afraid of the same thing on our first 3 day cruise. We had just taken a 7 day cruise and got the $99/person for a 3 day cruise coupon that had been offered the January after 9/11. If I didn't have this coupon, there was no way I would've taken a 3 day. I was expecting to be disappointed but kept telling myself it was worth the $99. Well it was worth a heck of a lot more than that! I couldn't believe how much fun and how relaxing it was to get away for a little bit. It was "just enough." You're ALWAYS sad when a trip is over whether it is 3 days or 4 days or 7.

We are doing ao 4 day for NYE this year because we already had our plane tickets and it fit into the schedule (we didn't have time for a very long trip this year, boohoo). It will be great and I will be sad to get off of the ship, but definatly worth it.

All I have ever done on DCL before are 4 days...I think any vacation is too short--but I never felt super rushed, and since you have DCL experience you know the basic ins and outs, I say go for it. Any crusie is better then no cruise at all!!

Go for it!!!

On a four day Wonder, you will get to see the new Golden Mickey's!!!

Also, since you have cruised before, there will be alot that you may have done before, leaving you more time to just relax and enjoy!!!

:D :D :D

We are doing our second 4-night in December and have also done a 7-night. We will only do the 4-night when we combine it with at least one full day in WDW only because flying is costly and I couldn't imagine spending the money to fly down without spending at least 5 or 6 nights total on vacation. That's just our personal preference, though.

BUT, in comparing the 4-night to the 7-night, they do have a different feel and we were actually worried about going on a 4-night after only experiencing the 7-night but ended up really loving it. Yes, it did feel slightly shorter, but it was okay. In fact, we're doing two 4-days already this year. It is worth it to us.

I felt the 4 day was way to short....personally I would never do just 4 days again....perhaps if I lived in Florida I would but to hav e to travel from NY to FLorida for a 4 day cruise just was to short in my opinion.

My view is, if you have the money and the time, do it! You know that you are having a condensed version of the 7 night ahead of time, and it will be a great DCL fix! I did this in August for a land trip....didn't want to shell out alot of $$ for a trip from Colorado to WDW, so we did a 4 night trip to DLR instead. It is different scenery, but still the same Disney magic.

Short "check-out-for-a-few-days" vacations do a world of good for the soul....especially Disney vacations!::yes::

I love the 4 day cruises. If you want to relax for a short getaway, make sure to get the day at sea. That's my favorite part of the 4 day.

Any cruise w/ DCL is wonderful.

I have never been on a 7 day cruise but have been on several shorter ones.
We have always had a wonderful time. It is amazing how many things you miss on your first, second or even third time on the ship.
I say definitely go for it!!

We've done a 3-day and a 4-day (and we have a 7-day booked). I would say definitely go for the 4-day! That extra day at sea (assuming you aren't going to Freeport) is SOOO relaxing. I think it's like adding 2-days to the 3day cruise. Definitely go!!! and pick a 4-day with a day at sea.

If I'm not mistaken, this December 14th is the last Freeport stop day anyway on the 4-day cruises.

Check out the DCL website, but I'm pretty sure on this.
