I thought I read about free laundry at OKW, not inside the villas

Am I imagining this I know there are washers and dryers in the 1,2,and 3 bedroom units. BUt I swear I read that for folks staying in the studios, there were free washers somewhere. Is this true? We are renting points if that makes a difference and staying in a studio.

There are washers and dryers at each of the pools, which are free to use. I think there are soap / softener vending machines also, but you may want to check.

the machines look like they take money - but don't put any in them.

it will start w/o any quarters.

Oh thanks so much! I was watching a youtube video and getting so excited for our trip, and saw the coin-op washers and thought I was imagining them being free. I'm not sure we'll even use them since we are staying only 3 nights before cruising, but you never know!

To my knowledge free laundry (washers and dryers) are available at all WDW DVC resorts. This may also be true for the non-WDW DVC resorts also but I have no direct experience on this. I have used them at OKW, BCV, and AKL Jambo house and have been in the laundry area at AKV Kidani.
