For over a year, we've been planning a surprise long weekend trip for the family to Poly over Columbus Day weekend for MNSSHP. DH and I have carefully planned and will surprise DS 14 and 10 when they get home from school that Friday and we leave immediately for the airport!
I started to wonder if we could really do this with older kids; especially the costumes for MNSSHP. Luckily DS 14 is about my height, and I've convinced him I'm sewing myself a Jedi robe for dress up at the school where I teach for Halloween.
Just tonight, the little one says he can't stand to listen to Disney podcasts (I play them on the iHome) lately since they are now "torture" since there is no trip planned in sight. This is going to be magical!!
Just over two weeks to go!!

That is awesome!!! We are doing something similar for our DD8. She doesn't know that we are leaving for Disney on October 7th. We will tell her the night before...balloons in a suitcase she thinks her dad is going to be packing for a business trip!!!pixiedust: We will be attending MNSSHP for the first time on Oct. 8!!! DH and I are going as vikings (the Norway kind) and DD8 will be wearing a Viking cheerleading costume (the Minnesota kind):cheer2:

Hope you have a magical trip and we both pull off the surprises!!!
