I think we just bought a....

so I think DH and I might fly to Kansas over memorial day weekend to check the car out.
If we like it and if AWD is serious about long hauling it we will start making plans.

AWM, AWD needs to get me some solid info if he can really so it, or I need to rent a Uhaul.

He's still ears deep in computer issues in CA. We haven't spoken about much other than the boys. It's after my bed-time when he calls.
I can talk to him Saturday if they don't cancel his Friday flight. :thumbsup2

NOT FAIR I want to come too (where's the stamp foot smilie again? :rolleyes1)

DH said is AWD can't do it..maybe he can talk to his dad and they can help.. they got a truck and trailer too.. I always forget about that... it's big ol' trailer...we've moved furniture in it so it's good size!!! :)

Oh, I didn't think of that. Our trailer is NOT enclosed. It is just a flat bed one. With tractors, the weather isn't a consideration when transporting them. It might be with your Mini. Is it okay that is isn't enclosed? Should make sure with you before I ask AWD.

hmmmm, I know he would prefer enclosed since we have no idea what the weather would be like.

I'll keep you both posted.

here's a pic in the mean time:

Is DH going to work on it in your garage? Where will Stitch go?:confused3

AWD thinks you would be better off with an enclosed trailer. He said it might be more cost effective to try and find a hauler who looking to fill up his load. :confused3 I guess there are trucker websites where you can list where you picking up and taking to and if someone has a route going near there they add yours to it. Car haulers do the same thing.

He also thought I was completely crazy for even suggesting that he spend time with someone he doesn't know for that long of a period. :rotfl2: Small talk and my DH don't hang. :rotfl2: He wanted to know if I fell and hit my head. :lmao: The tone of his voice was totally worth it though.

 Sorry I couldn't help with the actual transporting.

Psssssst! That mini isn't finished yet!:rotfl:

I couldn't see why being on an open trailer would be an issue til I saw the photo.:rolleyes1 You and DH are so clever to be able to do stuff to cars - I can get in and make it go and stop (sometimes I can even park it;) ) but thta's pretty much it. I did a car maintenance course when I first passed my test, but when I stripped down a gear box and put it back together I had some bits left over:scared1: Luckily it was the "practice" one, no-one had to drive it:lmao:
