I think we closed today!

Hey guys! So I sent back my closing documents on 1/30. Just happened to check the OCC website, like I’ve seen others advise, and saw our deed is there as of today! Does that mean we closed? I haven’t heard from my agent yet. Also, if that is the case, how long till I can call Disney and/or will the points show in my account? Thank you!!

Might want to send an email to your Closing Company to confirm the closing.

If you already have a DVC account I think it usually takes 10 days for the points to show up, no need to call. Unless, you really really need to use the points for booking a reservation.

Thanks for the response! Yes we already have a DVC account. I will definitely call my agent, I'll wait a little bit longer. I do need the points sooner than later... we need to use points by October, so will just add on a week to our existing July reservation (for June). We are already 4 months out, so I'd like to make sure we book sooner than later. I did mention that to my agent, but I don't think they can do much.

Not much your agent can do now, it's up to DVC now to get the points and contract transferred over to yours. You will know that they are working on it when you see the contract show up in your account in your Dashboard and then the points will follow in a few hours or the next day.

FWIW - my second account is just showing up in my dashboard today (points not there yet); our deed was recorded 8 days ago.
