Those types of questions are the reason that the DIS exists. We are here to offer trip planning advice and answer questions. If you have lived in Illinois all your life and have no idea how warm it is in Florida in Feb then this is the place to ask it. You may assume that it is 80-90 degrees there all the time and always swimming weather, when in fact it can be quite cold. I was glad that, because of the DIS, I threw in a few pairs of pants, sweatshirts and our winter coats and gloves in the car. I actually really didn't think we would need a winter coat, gloves and earmuffs in Florida--the Sunshine State.
When I joined this site it was to ask dumb questions like those mentioned here, and many more. And I really appreciated the wonderful advice that I got from those that were experienced and it really went a long way toward making all of our trips wonderful.
These people DID google to find the answer to their questions-- and that Google search led them here. Many Disney related topics will bring up a DISboards link in the first few results. If they stop coming and stop asking then there is no reason to keep the DIS open. Everyone here came as a newbie at some point, most likely because they were planning a WDW trip and wanted help with their planning.
So stop by the Planning boards and pick a "stupid" question from a newbie and answer it truthfully with a big smile

. You just might help make someone's trip a little better.
