I think I have a good idea for DVC to cut costs, what do you guys think?

Hi guys,

I was just reading the posts about the new membership cards and wondered, why doesn't Disney use the membership cards as the card key to the villa's???

Is it possible to have a magnetic strip or programable micro chip in the cards that can be programed at check-in to open your villa's door???

I know that it probably wouldn't work 100% of the time, but maybe it could save us a little money.

What do you think?

Frankly, I'd like to see them issue ONE card that is inclusive of all the Disney member organizations. Instead of three cards, one for DVC, one for DC, and one for CC, I'd much prefer to carry or keep up with just ONE.

Your idea has merit, but I'm sure they'd be issuing Key/cards anyway because a bunch of folks either don't remember to bring their card, have needs for multiple cards while vacationing for other family members, and of course some DVCers rent their points or send family members alone.

I don't guess that your DC card will be usefull anymore.
