I don't think one's religion has much bearing on their ability to entertain me. If I was deciding what to watch based on the religion of the actors -- heck, based on what other people of that religion have done -- I'd be watching the Buddhist network :teeth:, since every other religion, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, probably even Hindu, have prominent adherents who behave IRL in a manner I consider morally reprehensible.

Did you watch South park the other night? It seems Isaac hayes who plays Chef is now a Scientologist and is furious at the way they are depicted on the show. But I have to admit, the one episode with R. kelly and tom cruise was hysterical! They had wording on the screen telling you "this is what scientologists really believe". Well if the Scientologists didnt like the way they were shown before, wednesdays episode went way over the top! They now said they were members of the "Super Adventure Club" and were saying crazy things about their founder and why he started the group.

It's the whole Tom Cruise bashing Broke Shields and the "Alien" beleifs they have...I think the less money I give them the better... ;)

I think I'll just focus on boycotting Tom Cruise. I don't care much about the other Scientologists. Sure I do believe that is a cult and not a religion, but everyone has their rights to do whatever they want, as long as it's legal. But Tom Cruise, with his stupid bashing against Brooke Shields, his movies (and may or may not be his religion) should be avoided at all costs. I would love to see MI3 bombed (though not likely at all).

I want to add that I am not boycotting anyone on that list, including Mr. Cruise. Scientologists do not bother me at all.

I think I am just going to avoid watching interviews with celebrities. Even the ones who have similar beliefs seem to have such inflated egos. They have the right to say it, I have the right to ignore it.

I wouldn't boycott based on someone's "religion" (or cult), but I certainly have had it with Tom Cruise.

I'd prefer not knowing anything about artists' politics or religion.

I'm sure they'll be very upset that you're not going to see their movies

It is not my duty as a human being to judge anyones choice of belief. To each his own.

Im not gonna boycott. Them being scientologist has no bearing on if they can act and entertain me. But I will say that most scientologist (and Im not talking about the celebrity ones) do give me a bit of the heebee-geebees. Im not gonna bash their religon though.
