I think DLR hotel rates went up A LOT this year.

I was going through my email yesterday, cleaning out some of the old stuff, and I came across my Expedia reservation confirmation for the Paradise Pier Hotel for October 2006.

A standard room there last fall was $165 per night. This year the lowest I've seen is $225 per night.....that's a big increase! (Well, at least I think it is.)

I FEAR what the rates at the DLR hotels will be for 2008!:scared1:

 That is a large price increase and I hope it doesn't go up again because we'd like to stay at the Grand for our 2008 trip. If it goes up, we'll be staying at HoJo's again.

If you are planning on going to Disneyland for 4 or more days necessitating a park hopper ticket, then it pays to just get an annual pass. The cost difference for a 4 or 5 day ticket to the cheaper annual pass is minimal - all you need is one person in your party to have the AP - but the potential benefit in DLR hotel cost saving is substantial. The rack rate for DLH is $285 right now for a standard room, but AP rates I've been quoted are more than $100 dollars less per night than that. That AP would pay for itself very quickly (in one night) even if you were only planning on one trip to DLR in a year. (subject to blackout dates of course).

I made reservations for our Jan/Feb. trip this weekend at DLH and the rates are the same as they were for 2007. Keeping fingers crossed for AP rates.
