Oh my.... I just checked minivan prices and I am in shock. $605 for the 6 nights...... that was the best I could find via National and Dollar, both with every code and corp ID I could toss at them.

Dates are Dec 16th-22nd.

Is there any hope for a lower rental. We are going with friends who are on a strict budget and this might break the trip for them.... :guilty:

edited to add... I cant get this post to post!!! AARRGGHH!!!!!

The costs are going to be higher around the holiday. Do you need a van or could you rent two cars? For the posting problem try typing a one word title, after it posts go and edit the title. It seems to work that way for some reason.

If you book through www.novacarhire.com the cost is 358.00, you do pay immediately but you are allowed to cancel if need be (I've booked with them before)

I have never heard of Nova.....

the price seems good.

Off to do a search on them!

Thanks!

Let me know what you think of them... we have used them in the past.... The good thing about using them is the price, but the price also includes all the extra's so there are no surprises at the end...

We booked back in January and again in March when we added a day. We got 557.05 for a minivan from 12/25 through 1/8 using Dollar with codes. If you go to mousesavers.com Mary's site has some great advice for transportation and codes. Good luck. :wizard:

Isnt' Nova a consolidator. Seems like they are related to Auto Europe??? I have used Auto Europe and been very pleased. However, they don't actually own any cars. They just hook you up with a rental car company. (My experiences have all been Hertz or Avis and you know who you are getting when booking)

I see you are staying at BWV. Since you're onsite, maybe you don't need to rent a car. Just use Disney transportation. We're going from December 15-25. We're renting a minivan just for one day to get us from Sanford airport to WDW then turning it in at the National rental place in the Dolphin hotel. Then renting for one day again to return back to the airport. I'm spending around $100 for the 2 days. We're not planning to go outside the World, so a car isn't necessary for us. Something to consider to save yourself a lot of money. Or if you're flying into MCO can you use magical express and not rent a car at all?

If you were planning on using the car to pick up supplies, you can also look into the grocery delivery sites. This could save you a lot of money if the rental car was going to be parked in a lot most of the week.

Thanks for the comments.

We would really like a van for our whole stay and may go the Nova route above... We have AP's to US/IOA and were planning 3 outta 6 days there...

I will run some numbers tonight, take a peek at our plans, and see what I come up with. Normally our van rental runs between 2-250, but then again, we normally dont travel durning peak times.
