for 10 days so I'll have 9 TS meals. I have 7 booked and am waiting to see when I can get myself into Yak and Yeti when they open if it is a TS meal in 08. So far I have,...

1/10 - (nothing - day we arrive, will need dinner at least anyways, maybe MK)
1/11 - Le Cellier - Dinner
1/12 - Cape May Cafe - Breakfast / resort after
1/13 - Hollywood & Vine - breakfast
1/14 - (nothing but plans for AK in morning then resort so I am open)
1/15 - 1900 Park Fare - Dinner
1/16 - (yak & yeti? - AK all day)
1/17 - (nothing but MGM day, Epcot night)
1/18 - Princes Norway - breakfast / Rose & Crown - dinner
1/19 - (nothing - is the day we go home, not sure what time yet, possible MK)

we could definately use more time in MK to do everything. We will have AP's so we can hop or whatever we need to do to have a good meal. We love buffets and a good steak. Character meals are ok but it doesn't have to be. Youngest in our party will be 4 yrs old. They behave very well in restaraunts and the two youngest love Mac n cheese among their favorite meal. We have a lot of places where we aren't eating anything TS that day. Even have some days that are totally open for what we are doing. I want something new I think. I didn't like the drive in at MGM and would even do another Epcot TS.

Thanks for all your suggestions. i really want to get this all boked and it's bugging me that I don't have it done yet. Thank goodness I don't have to do this for my April vacation!

GO TO KONA!!!!! It is FABULOUS!!!!

Also the white chocolate cheesecake is to DIE FOR!!!!

I second that!! :thumbsup2

Go to Kona. It's awesome!! I love the terriyaki steak; I get that everytime we eat there. And the white chocolate cheesecake IS to DIE FOR! I had that last time too and was loving it!! :cloud9:

where is Kona? never been there. Any suggestions for a day to do that?

Kona Cafe is at the Poly, so it'd be easy for an MK day to take the monorail over. Kona is also fantastic for breakfast, tonga toast anyone?!
And the best coffee on property!

Kona is a good idea, it's in the Polynesian so you could ride the monorail over there and return to the park after you eat. O'hana is also good from what I remember (some people RAVE about it), and would be a lot of fun for your kid.
If you can manage signature restaurants, think about California Grill. You can walk to the Contemporary from the park, and if you're there at the right time you can watch the fireworks from the restaurant, which is on the top of the resort.
Crystal Palace has a character buffet in the park, though I don't personally know anyone who has eaten dinner there.
For Epcot, my family repeatedly recommends the Bistro in the French Pavilion, but your kids may not like it. Marakesh in Morocco is a cheaper option, and a lot of people love it.... there's a belly dancer. I personally would not go to it because they're all over the country, but there's a hibachi place in Japan that puts on a show the kids will like.
If you really want to hit a great place, exit Epcot and walk to the Yaught Club for the Yaughtsman Steakhouse..... that's the one place I insisted we go to during our trip this November. Again, though, not sure about taking your kid. But for burgers and hot dogs and MASSIVE ice cream concoctions, there's Beaches and Cream by the Beach Club pool.
Good luck and have fun!:donald:

I would add Kona for any meal
Beirgarten
Cape May Clambake
House of Blues

I just went to Kona for supper this week and it was probably my favorite meal of the trip. I had a salad for a starter and the almond chicken. The chicken came with a similar salad so they let me pick a different vegetable to go with my meal. I had some sort of chocolate torte for dessert (actually breakfast the next day) and it was to die for. I hope I can find receipes for the chicken and dessert.

Maybe Ohana's which is right there at the Poly too. We lucked out with a window seat and a beautiful view of the GF. Also there is Raglan Road in DD. I wasn't thrilled with my meal but my BF liked his. I did like the mac & cheese that I had for a starter there.

Happy planning!

Kona is good. You can't hardly go wrong there.

For a really good steak, try The Turf Club at SSR.
DH had the Grilled Top Sirloin Steak - with Turf Club potatoes with a topping of crab meat and grain mustard sauce.
He loved it and said so far that is the best WDW steak. He said it was the topping that really made it.

Hey neighbor to the north- we'll be at Kona on the 10th. :thumbsup2

My suggestions:
Boma
Crystal Palace
Chef Mickey's
Whispering Canyon Cafe

Some of our MUST for each trip. However the list gets longer and longer every year. Either we're going to have to STOP trying new places or go for 3 weeks!

Happy Planning!

Where are you staying?

The HDDR is always a fun way to kick off a trip.

I'd skip H&V, unless its all about JoJo. Its our least favorite place for food.

Crystal Palace is always wonderful.

Narccoossees is great on the foodplan because its expensive and uberyummie. Save room for the almond crusted cheesecake. (i'd do it over 1900PF).

Bomas or Wispering Canyon would be great on departure day.

Liberty Tree Tavern in MK is great if you eat the lunch menu. Not only is it cheaper at lunch, but you get a wider selection in food than you do at the character dinner. Don't know how you might fit this into your schedule though. :confused3

I also highly recommend Kona Cafe for breakfast and dinner. I literally dream about Tonga Toast. You can't go wrong if you go Kona. ;)

Another vote for Kona :rotfl: Whispering Canyon is another very good suggestion!
