I should stay away from this rental, right?

I finally decided on which rental home we wanted to go with, so I searched this company's tax records and it appears that all of their properties are paid EXCEPT for this one! I'm so mad. lol. Do you know how long it took me to pick a 'favorite'? =)

That is the link. I am sure I am correct in that I should stay far away from it, but I guess I need to hear someone else tell me before I can finally give it up.

The owners actually have until May to pay the tax bill for this year -they simply loose out on discounts if they do not pay before BUT they are also in arrears for last year on it too and a third party has bought a tax certificate for that part .It is unlikely anything will happen soon with it -Tax certificates are usually held for 2/3 years so it depends when you are going and what your gut instinct is .If it were me I would probably move in the opposite direction
You could approach the owner and see what they say about the situation.

Remember that you don't need the perfect home, just a really great one that will suit your needs---and there are a lot of those. Any one of them will be great!

The not paying taxes for the last two years would be a complete deal breaker for me.

As the PP mentioned, there are plenty of other houses to choose from. I would let this one go IMHO.
