I scored a good deal on some Target gift cards!

Also, good luck at target. others have been reporting that they will no longer allow gift cards for gift card purchases.

If something goes foul, I can buy other things I need there. I can use them all. Might take me a couple months, but I will.

Oh meaning there are more stores that may not exchange gift cares as there were?

Don't wait too long as our experience with Raise is poor with drained gift cards.
I am so fuming mad. The $100 card was invalid, reported lost, stolen, something.:mad::mad: I will never buy again from Raise unless I am at the Target fixing to purchase. I have had this happen just a couple times before with other companies, but I always got my money back. I'm sure Raise will do the same. The $10 is still good.

What I don't understand is when a person sells a gift card online like that, don't they have to place a card or funds with it to ensure they don't go spend it, or what ever before the person who bought it does?

No, there's no logistical way for a 3rd party company to lock up the funds while still allowing the purchaser to use them. It's practically on the honor system that the person who has all your gift card codes won't use them. Raise must have a way to try to claw money back from the seller/ban them if the seller hasn't disappeared/closed the account the money was received in but this happens SO often I just don't understand how this business model is profitable honestly.

I had it happen on a few $100 Target cards from Raise or CardCash in less than 2 minutes once back in the day where you could immediately flip them on target.com into a Disney gift card. I was shocked at how fast they were drained.

Won't anymore. Will only buy from them when I am ready to spend immediately. I went ahead and got $200 worth of Target cards at Card Cookie for 9% off.
Not too bad.
