I saw W!!!!!!!!!pic page 3 takes a while to load, but Kathytx said it is fine!

We drove by the school where they are setting up and there are like five trailers lined up by the side of the road- like 18 wheelers. They must need alot of stuff! Flags are up and it looks good!! We have to be there before 6:30 AM. We are probably going to park and walk instead of taking the shuttles with my two year old and all.

Hey, have a blast and tell him he's got our votes!

I saw our President at a rally before the last
election, didn't get to meet him (I would've LOVED it).

Here's a hint:
DO NOT BRING YOUR OWN SIGNS!

They confiscate all homemade signs at these
things, because the Dems like to sneak in
and uncover the "pro" sign to reveal their
"anti" sign that lies underneath.
We talked to some bouncers at the rally,
as they wouldn't move from in front of me
and I made a comment - not realizing
they worked for the campaign.

They told us about the signs and also
that the Dems favorite trick is to wear
an "anti" t-shirt underneath their
clothing and then all together they take
their top shirts off and start heckling.
So, the big bouncer guys apologized and
I told them no problem, stand where you have to
(of course I really didn't have a choice,
but I didn't have a problem after they explained).

Look for the snipers & Secret Service, too - they're everywhere!

We love Dubya!!

I saw him several years ago. He was campaigning for TX governor back then. Who would have known the former Pres. of the U.S. would be standing on the steps of the Milam CO Courthouse. He is a really personable person, I am sure you will enjoy the rally.

I guess that W's motorcade passed through our town on Saturday morning. Of course, I found out after the fact that the President was within half a mile of my house. If I had know, I would have gone to see his motorcade.

That is sooo cool! I would love to meet President George W. Bush. I would probably be awestruck and not be able to utter a word. I'm glad you have a good time. Great story!

Glad to hear you had a good time!

Four More Years! Four More Years! Four More Years!

"W" is here in Columbia speaking as I type. I couldn't make the appearance, since I had a class, but getting home was fun! The interstate and major highways are closed for the bus procession. We saw him 4 years ago when he came to town at the airport. It is fun seeing a President coming to town.

I'm glad you got to see him, since you wanted to so badly. I hope your pics turn out well...

He's here all the time, since he flies into our city to go home. I don't care at ALL about ever seeing him, but am glad those that do get a chance to.

Living in Indiana we rarely see a presidental candidate. At 6:00 pm on Nov. 2, the networks will show the Hoosier State for President Bush. Since Indiana hasn't been in play, for the presidental election in years, we are ignored.

During the 1960's I saw presidental candidates, George Wallace and Robert Kennedy at my university. Both were very lively events.

I believe those would be lively!

Traffic was not a problem comng or going for us! I was surprised, but we parked off an outer road to the highway he travelled on to get to Sedalia, just across from the high school. No tie ups as they were shuttling everyone but us it seemed!

That's so cool! And the singer was Mark Wills...he's a country artist and really good.

He must have the country music vote all sewn up, when we saw him here Lee Ann Womack "opened up" for him!
If anyone else gets a chance to see the motorcade, go, because when he went by after we saw him he was standing right in front of the bus waving!

I thought the man on the news said he stopped in LS and Sedalia today! We just moved to JAX from LS, and all my extended family live in Sedalia. That's weird that he stopped off in both places.

My DH, DD, and her two college friends, and I saw President Bush in Sedalia, MO today. We were sitting about 25-30 feet from him. It was GREAT! What a thrill to be so close to the most powerful man in the world--the President of the United States!

Finally, a picture! It took me a year and a half to figure out how to do this one, but if I get over that, I will try to post the one with the Secret service with binnoculars looking over the crowd! So the sky you see there, that is Lee's Summit sky. Otherwise it looks like a regular pic you would see on Fox news or something!

Thanks for the pic!

Would you believe that W was less than
2 miles from my house last week and I
couldn't see him??
He was at Byer's Choice in Chalfont, PA,
and it was a ticketed event. If the weather
had been better (leftover Frances) I and my DS
would have staked out a spot on the road
and waved our flags...

My friend who works for the Rep. Party went
with her boss - he got an arm around the waist
and a picture opportunity, which thrilled him!
She was about 10 feet away but didn't get
to speak to him.

When our President was approached by a
blue-star mother, he stopped and bent down
and kissed her on the cheek, and spoke with
her for a minute or two.
