After a dysfunctional game of mini-golf with my friends last night, someone had the wise idea to head over to the movies and catch the first showing of Shrek 2. Yeah, so we're all 19, but the idea was greeted with an overwhelming chorus of "YESSS!"
We caught the 12:10 movie and as I turned the corner into the theater expecting it to be empty I discovered that the place was packed! Yeah, I know, it's Shrek 2, but it was past midnight I guess I wasn't thinking clearly.
The movie isn't as perfectly wonderful as the first one, but let me tell you, it is HYSTERICAL. I haven't seen a movie in a long time when the entire audience is laughing out loud and clapping at the jokes every 10 minutes. There's alot of stuff that's going to fly right over kids heads. Thankfully it's still an entertaining story, so it's not just stupid gags the entire way through. For a sequel, it was absolutely fantastic.
