I Saw Dave Matthews Band in Concert Tonight

Oh it was a great show and he played alot of my favorite songs. (I was disappointed he didnt play "Crash" though) He has an amazing voice and such a presence onstage! It's no wonder his shows sell out so quickly.

Sounds like fun! How could they NOT play "Crash"? It bugs me when I go to a concert and the performer leaves out one of their best songs. Oh well, DMB has plenty of other songs to make up for it.

One of my fave songs that I have only seen on the Live at Red Rock CD is Granny, did he play that? Crash is one of the best, too bad he didn't play it.

I don't want to hijack your thread....and it sounds like you had a good time....

but can you DMB fans tell me if this is the type of concert you would let your 17 yr old go to, with a friend her age? My DD is going to be given a pair of tickets to a show in September at Meadowbrook in Massachusetts. This is a 17th b-day gift from her stepmother in Mass, who is a fan. DD has not been to a concert "alone" before and I'm nervous...........

Dave is a good friend of my BIL. They have known each other for years. That being said I have seen him in concert here in Charlottesville (HOME TOWN BOY!) and I took my 8 year old DD. So yup I would definiately allow a 17 year old to go with her friend!

NHAnn- I went throughout high school to see DMB every summer with the girls and we always had a blast. I think she will have a great time and I wouldn't worry at all.

My son has gone to DMB concerts since he was 16. I think as long as they're with friends, they should be fine.

A cute story, a few weeks ago when the DMB did two concerts outside of Pittsburgh, I jokingly told DS to scream for me if they did "Satellite", my favorite DMB song. About 9:30 on Friday night, my phone rang. DS was screaming, "This one's for you, Mom!" and I could hear MY song live! Wow! I felt like I was part of a cellular phone commercial!! Good kid!
