I originally booked an SUV for 3 days and with all fees it was $253. I double checked Mousesavers and used some of their codes. (Walmart one) and saved $100. Now my SUV is $153.

Thanks for all the hints I've read about mousesavers tips!!! It sure worked for me!

If you don't mind me asking, what are your dates? I ask because I am having no luck with the walmart code at Alamo for our April dates. The same rate with or without the walmart code.

Yes codes and coupons are wonderful and you should always try several codes to see which one gets the best price. However, remember to continue to check your reservation because SOMETIMES the rates will drop further as your trip gets closer. You will have to rebook and cancel your first reservation. My National rate for Feb. has dropped 3 times in the past week. I checked yesterday and it went higher than the first rate, so it's always up and down. Mostly if someone gets a good rate, they will post it on the boards here.
