I said we wouldn't do Disney again. I lied. April Vacation - 4 Days Left! 4/17

Joining in! Looks like you have some great plans :)

We had considered Flying Fish for dinner one night too, but we would not have the childcare available to us & that would be a meal that we would really like to enjoy as a date. I can't wait to hear about it from you!

Thank you! We knew we wanted to eat at FF for our signature meal and were fully prepared to do that with the boys. That's one of the things I love about Disney, you don't get the side-eye (much) when you bring kids to fancy restaurants. ;) The decision to drop them off at the Sandcastle Club came later. I did a lot of research and the experiences I read about were almost 100% positive and it wasn't TOO expensive. I'm really looking forward to having one meal with just the two of us. I think they'll get a kick out of ordering their own meal at the Sandcastle Club.

You're a Patriots fan? It can't be that surprising considering my location. ;) I may have to stop reading this PTR ... (kidding - mostly) That's ok, I think a lot of people have. :lmao:

FP+ selections look good. I think Anna & Elsa is easier to get than it was a few months ago - I couldn't get it for my November trip, but I was easily able to get it for February.
MSEP can also be a hard one to get from what I've heard (I've never tried to get it).

I hope we luck out. :goodvibes

Hey There...

Your plans look great; my only comments that on your AK day, I'd prioritize Nemo, the Trails and the Flights of Wonder, in that order. The latter 2 really do well at highlighting the purpose of the park, and you won't be sorry. :goodvibes

Enjoy!! :)

Hi there! :wave2: Following along! I'm from South Eastern MA so we are practically neighbors! And what a Pats game this past weekend!!

We have a trip planned for March so I will be there a little before you!

Plans look great so far! FP+ day is so exciting! I just did it last week and was able to get everything that I wanted and at pretty good times. I woke up at midnight to do it and then couldn't fall back asleep after because I was so excited!

I did just want to add, I also called WDW about the March Discount and it turns out that the CM who I spoke to, told me that I was going to be saving $250, however my package price went up! I called back last week and asked about it and it turns out that the new package was $50 more and the CM didn't tell me that and applied the new higher price. I know you didn't want to call but it might be worth it just to ask. Just a thought, take it or leave it!

Can't wait to see what else you have planned and how your FP+ picking goes!

Thank you for the advice on AK. We love the trails and Flights of Wonder and I totally agree with you there. :) Of the two, Nemo and FOTLK, I was leaning more towards FOTLK. I got the sense from reading so many reports that that was the better show. I'm interested to hear that you'd prioritize Nemo, I will definitely keep that in mind.

I just went and visited your report. You've got a great trip planned! I hope my FP+ selections go as well as yours did. I'm actually thinking about calling first thing in the morning rather than midnight the day before. If we don't get Anna & Elsa or 7DMT it's not the end of the world. I have trouble sleeping as it is, I don't want to be awake all night like you were. :crazy2:

I'm sorry you had trouble with your package going up. :sad2: I actually did call back, not about that but to add on a park day recently, and I asked about the discrepancy. The CM said it was the Memory Maker which is what I suspected. But when I got the new price after the additional park day it looked like she'd taken it off. I wonder if the first CM had made an error and this CM I talked to adjusted it. Oh well, I'm happy it worked out. So yeah, it's so inconvenient to keep calling but it's worth it when they finally fix it.

Your FP choices look great. I don't think you will have any trouble getting all of them.

You probably won't fit in your entire AK list before 4 PM just because of show times.

I just made yet another ADR change. I canceled the reservation that up until now I had been looking forward to the most: Flying Fish.

I was looking at menus with DH on the Disney site and he didn't really love the FF menu but was still fine with going. Then while scrolling through the restaurants I spotted Todd English's bluezoo and the menu was much more appealing to DH. Since it's not a Disney restaurant it wasn't even on my radar. I quickly searched the DIS for reviews that were so positive I made a reservation.

Bonus: the hotel has a Camp Dolphin and you get 2 hours of free child care if you order an entree at bluezoo. Score!! :yay: It's within walking distance from YC and I feel comfortable that the kids will be so close.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. The winter storm we're getting here is just yucky enough to keep me inside. I'm going to try a movie night tonight. We're going to watch Tangled. :goodvibes

Wow! I am surprised by your ADR change, but I have to say - I LOVE bluezoo. It is really yummy! We went for a date night a few years ago and it was one of the best meals I can remember eating. Three years later, I can still tell you what I ate - it was THAT good!

I didn't know about Camp Dolphin being included. What an awesome benefit!

I was so happy to read this! Last night I was still questioning my decision and was going to go back to Flying Fish and stick with Disney babysitting. Thank you for your review of bluezoo, it really makes me want to try it. And I also got confirmation from the Swolphin that the boys are set to hang out at Camp Dolphin while we dine. :yay:

I don't know much about bluezoo, but I've heard a lot of good things about Todd English in general, so I'm sure it will be great! And the free babysitting certainly doesn't hurt.

I hope you guys are doing okay with the weather. Are you getting the big blizzard this week? Stay safe and enjoy Disney movie time!

I'm really looking forward to it. I don't know much about him; I've just seen him on Top Chef-type things. I'm excited to try it. :hyper:

The free babysitting is awesome! It was going to cost $60 for both boys for two hours at Sandcastle Club. The prices for meals at both restaurants are comparable so we'll save a lot of $$. That's always nice. ;)

Yup, we're going to get the brunt of the storm just like you in NY. I'm not too worried. With some of the storms we've had in recent years I feel like we've been there, done that. You, too, stay safe.

We watched Tangled and we all loved it. Makes me look forward to MK and New Fantasyland even more. :goodvibes

I'm so glad you found a choice that both you and DH are happy with. And what a great bonus about the free child care! :thumbsup2 I hope you're surviving the winter storm. Sounds like a good excuse for a Disney movie marathon. ;)

Still here... and trying to keep caught up! :)

I have often thought of trying Bluezoo. Will take a peek at the menu for sure before the trip! :bitelip:

81 days til DISNEY!! :cheer2:

After this week I think I'm even more excited about this trip. This blizzard of 2015 has been really inconvenient.

This was Tuesday:

Wednesday:

Today we are working on the 3rd day of no school. I'm about to head out into this frozen tundra to take the boys sledding.

This was them on Monday after school just as the storm was beginning. My butt is still bruised from careening down the hill. :rotfl2: I'm too old for this. :lmao: Not to mention the lower back pain from shoveling the past couple days. :sad2:

I don't mean to complain but it's just making be dream of that Florida sun. This trip cannot come soon enough.

Thanks. :) We would have been fine with either since we both love seafood, I think he just preferred the preparations on the menu at bluezoo. I'm sure we would have really enjoyed Flying Fish, too. I think I prefer the ambiance of FF based on pics I've seen. But the bonus child care is a huge perk that I couldn't pass up. :thumbsup2

Still here... and trying to keep caught up! :)

Thanks for sticking around. It's not like you haven't been busy or anything. ;) I hope to take some pics of bluezoo and write up a TR or DR when we're back from the trip.

Love your pictures of the storm! It sure was a big one. We only missed two days of school but it was still crazy over here!

I hope you guys are safe up there and stay warm! I complain about 40 degree weather in Georgia. I would die in that cold and snow!
80 days!!!! So close!!! yet so far!!!

Hahaha! I knew I liked you. That Legolas gif is fan-freaking-tastic! :lmao:

Love your reference to the frozen tundra. I always tell people I live there now after growing up in Cali. Can't wait to keep reading! Glad I found your report:)

Just read you entire PreTR, I really enjoyed it. Sounds like you have it all figured out

Looks like the kids were enjoying their time in the snow. It is always so much better when you are a kid (and don't have to worry about road conditions or shoveling). I hope you thaw out soon!
