I said we wouldn't do Disney again. I lied. April Vacation - 4 Days Left! 4/17

I'm so excited that you're so close to your trip! I get to do my single-digit dance on Wednesday!!!!

Ohmigosh, me too!!! :yay:

Ok, I think the last time I'd been over to your PTR you had yet to make a formal announcement about the new trip. I need to get caught up on this latest development. See you over there. :wave2:

Clearly, I'm late to the PTR. I've skimmed through, but I just wanted to pop in to say that I hope you have a wonderful trip, and I look forward to the TR, if you choose to do one.

Howdy. :welcome: Thanks for coming by. We are going to have such a great time! I will definitely be doing a TR and it would be great if you want to follow along.

That's so exciting, you're almost there! I think it's great you are just enjoying the anticipatation. That has never been my strong suit but maybe I can do it this time. Enjoy this week!

Thanks! The boys are starting to get really excited now that we're talking days to go instead of months. Today Sammy was elated when I told him he had only one more day of school left before Disney! :cloud9: Aidan and I talked about who his favorite princess is. He said if he HAD to pick one it would be Rapunzel. We've been having so much fun all of us talking about the plans because up til now I've been the only one thinking about it. :rotfl2:

4 Days til Disney!! :woohoo:

I can't believe how close we are!! I've been trying to keep busy this week to keep my mind off it. This past weekend the weather finally turned around for the better. It's noticeably warmer and the sun feels so good. :worship: I put away the North Face and broke out the spring jackets - this is a big deal to me. It's put me in serious spring cleaning mode. :laundy: I've also been able to walk the boys to school everyday (I go 3x/day since Sammy has 1/2 day K) which I consider training for all the walking we'll do at Disney. :yay:

Since it's all I can think about I thought I'd write out a final, loose schedule for each day:

Tuesday, April 21 - Epcot

We are scheduled to arrive at MCO at 12:20. I'm guessing we'll get to YC around 2 or later. There's a decent chance that the room will be ready but we'll have suits in our carry-on for the pool anyway. We have fast passes for Spaceship Earth at 3:40 and the Seas at 4:40 which we may or may not use. I think this afternoon will go one of two ways: the boys will see the pool and we won't be able to drag them away or they will be lured to Epcot to spend their gift cards in the Japanese store. I'm fine either way. At 6:40 we have an ADR for Beaches & Cream where we will split a No Way Jose. Lastly we have a FP for Illuminations to close out the day.

Wednesday, April 22 - AK

We are going to try to get to the park as early as possible because they have EMH at 8am. I have FP for Kali River Rapids at 9:05, Safari at 10:40, and Dinosaur at 12:30. I'm hoping to grab some coffee and a bite to eat and hit the safari first thing before our first FP. We were hoping to have lunch at Flame Tree but it looks like it will still be closed so we'll probably do Yak and Yeti. Some things we want to accomplish on this day: Flights of Wonder, all animal trails/treks, FOTLK, and Finding Nemo. We'll do as much as we can but will have to leave the park fairly early because we have dinner reservations at bluezoo and plans for the boys to spend that time at Camp Dolphin.

Thursday, April 23 - MK

MK opens at 8 this day and we need to be at RD because I want to see the Welcome Show for the first time. Then we have FP for 7DMT at 9:25 and Peter Pan at 10:25. We will hop on the monorail to visit GF for the first time for lunch at GFC at 12:45. We will go back to MK for rides and the parade, dinner at CHH, and then a FP for MSEP, stay for Wishes, and head back to YC for the night.

Friday, April 24 - Epcot

This is a day that we don't have to make RD so we might take it slow this morning. We have FP Turtle Talk at 10:10 and Soarin' at 11:25 so technically we don't have to make it to Future World much before 11. This is the day I'd planned to sample the F&G booths for lunch but I've been reading some TRs and it doesn't look like we'll enjoy much at the food booths. It doesn't really matter since I know we can find something at one of the WS counter service restaurants. Here is where I'd like to make a change to my plans and hope I'll have more luck as we get closer. I can't remember why but I reserved Biergarten at 7:30. I'm hoping to move this up at least an hour but so far MDE only has openings at 4:50 and 7:45. If we can't get earlier I'll just stick with 7:30 but I'd like to get back to the hotel and changed for the movie they play on the beach at 8:30. This evening it will be Big Hero 6 which we haven't seen and the boys are looking forward to it.

Saturday, April 25 - HS

We will head to HS for EMH at 8am. My first goal is to get the boys signed up for Jedi training. We have FP for TSMM at 10:25, Frozen Sing-Along at 12:10 and Star Tours at 1:10. We have an early dinner at 5:10 Mama Melrose's Fantasmic! package followed by Fantasmic! at 8:30. We also want to try the Animation Station and the Movie ride. I might try to hit ToT or RnRC by myself if the lines are short enough. We'll probably have a late breakfast or early lunch at Starring Rolls or Boardwalk Cafe. A good friend of mine lives in the Tampa area and she might be able to join us for the day. I'm not getting my hopes up but that would be really nice as I haven't seen her in a year or so.

Sunday, April 26 - MK

This day we have an 8:15 ADR at Crystal Palace for early park entry. Our FPs are Pirates of the Caribbean at 10:45, A&E at 12:30, and Buzz Lightyear at 2:00. We have an ADR for BOG at 1:10. This isn't going to leave us much time for our FP. We'll have to try to hit A&E as close to 12:30 as possible and hopefully we'll have time for Buzz before the window ends at 3:00. It's doable I think. Any thoughts? I don't think we'll stay very late and we'll probably head back to the resort for some dinner and packing. :sad1: The movie this night is Alexander and the Terrible, ... Day. The boys want to see it and this will make for a relaxing last night.

Monday, April 27 - Epcot

We will spend the morning in FW where we have FP for Spaceship Earth, Test Track and The Seas. We have lunch planned for 12:50 at San Angel Inn. We will spend our last minutes at WS and then head back to catch the ride back to MCO for our 7 something flight home.

So those are our plans in a nutshell. I want to meet as many characters as possible at all parks and ride as many rides as we can with short lines. I'm considering the Behind the Seeds tour and Pirates Quest game at MK if the boys are interested. Can't Wait!!! :jumping1:

Omg omg omg!!! :hyper::hyper::hyper:

I've been trying to keep busy this week to keep my mind off it.
You're doing better than me. I'm not even trying. I've just given in totally. IT'S ALL I CAN THINK ABOUT. :rotfl: The struggle is real.

Since it's all I can think about
So much for keeping your mind off of it. :lmao:

I thought I'd write out a final, loose schedule for each day
Your plans look GREAT! Sadly, it doesn't look like we'll cross paths, though. I'll be in MK on Saturday and AK/Epcot on Sunday. I will think of you from across the property, and hope your family is having a blast! :goodvibes

This sounds WONDERFUL! You're going to have such a great trip, girl! I can't wait to hear ALL about it! (Assuming there will be a Trip Report to follow, right? Right? RIGHT?) :rotfl:

How are you feeling about the weather forecast? I know we should take it with a grain of salt, but I can't help but be nervous all the same. :scared:

4 days!!! You're almost there!!
Plans look great. I like that you have some flexibility built in to travel day ... you never really know how you're going to feel on travel day, so it's good to be flexible!

I think that if you do A&E right at 12:30 (or very shortly thereafter), you should be able to get to BOG by 1:10 with no problems. Lunch should be 1-1.5 hours (probably closer to an hour from what I've heard), so you'll have a few minutes to run over to Buzz by 3. It might be tight, but it's definitely doable. If you can, you might want to try moving your Buzz FP+ to give yourself a little more room ... not sure if you will be able to, but even moving it to 2:30 should make it a lot easier to not have to worry about it. And if you're going for a 4th FP+, you'll be able to do it right after you use your Buzz FP+.

In case I don't get back here in the next 4 days ... I hope you have an awesome trip!!

We have an ADR for BOG at 1:10.

:thumbsup2

I'm drawing a blank here.... A&E?

If you've pre-ordered your meals, you'll have them very quickly and dining can be over pretty quickly.
So I'd say you can easily do Buzz if you arrive at BOG on time.

I want to meet as many characters as possible at all parks and ride as many rides as we can with short lines.

Really? I don't think anyone tries to do that!

I hope you make it! It is always worthwhile to see that show. It just does a great job of setting the mood for a day at MK!

Good movie! Hopefully it works out for you.

I don't see this being any problem. Unless there's some kind of freaky back up at A&E, there should be no problem. You should be done with lunch at BOG in about an hour even if you walk around and check the place out. I don't think you'll have any problem getting to Buzz.

I'm drawing a blank here.... A&E?

Anna & Elsa. :cutie:

Oh. My. Lord.

What an amazing trip you have planned...and sooo close!! So excited for you!! And you are getting a dinner out without kids in there too...sounds fantastic!!

It sounds like you are going to have a great trip! I hope you do a TR so we can see how it turns out

My body is keeping busy but my mind is completely focused on Disney. It's a wonder I can get anything done. :rotfl2:I'm definitely planning a TR. I actually had a dream (nightmare, really) that I went to write a report but hadn't taken any pictures. I hadn't even thought about the weather. I did see that there is a lot of rain in the forecast but I hope they will just be small showers. I did run out today to grab some ponchos to bring with me so I don't end up paying Disney prices. :goodvibes

Thanks Sarah! Yeah, I don't think I have much to worry about. I forgot about moving things around when I'm there, that's a thought. :scratchin

:thumbsup2

It's not the Arts & Entertainment Network.

Well, I think there are some people who don't care that much about meeting the characters or doing lots of rides. :confused3:o

I don't know how you're not hyperventilating. :rotfl: I am so excited for you and your family!!!

I've also been able to walk the boys to school everyday (I go 3x/day since Sammy has 1/2 day K) which I consider training for all the walking we'll do at Disney

Here in Texas we've had warm weather since the end of February.. Bitter sweet. :rolleyes2 I'm glad you're getting your training in!! :)

Since it's all I can think about

I don't blame you!! Like I said, I'm so excited for you guys!! I can't wait until mine now!! :rotfl2:

:jumping1:

I'm enjoying the fact that we finally have some nice weather too. I think the multiple walks per day ahead of all the walking at Disney is a great idea.

We usually walk a lot in our neighborhood but this winter made the sidewalks impassable. It's good we're back at it before we get to Disney.

Yum! :thumbsup2

We are all looking forward to the No Way Jose as if we can't get ice cream at home. :rotfl:

I hope you make it! It is always worthwhile to see that show. It just does a great job of setting the mood for a day at MK!

Good movie! Hopefully it works out for you.

I hope so, too. It's really unforgivable that we didn't catch it when it was in theaters so hopefully this will make up for it. Fingers crossed.

I don't see this being any problem. Unless there's some kind of freaky back up at A&E, there should be no problem. You should be done with lunch at BOG in about an hour even if you walk around and check the place out. I don't think you'll have any problem getting to Buzz.

Thank you! We are so looking forward to date night and I'm sure the kids will enjoy the kids club more than sitting still for a fancy dinner. :goodvibes

It sounds like you are going to have a great trip! I hope you do a TR so we can see how it turns out

Thanks! I definitely plan to do a TR. As I told Billie I'm stressing about making sure I take enough pictures for a report. :rotfl2:

I don't know how you're not hyperventilating. :rotfl: I am so excited for you and your family!!!

Thank you! and :welcome: We are so excited! :hyper:

Do you miss the cooler weather in Texas? I guess I can see that. The warmer weather has definitely not worn out it's welcome up here yet. We're looking forward to Florida weather for sure. :goodvibes

2 Days til Disney!! party:

I did a bunch of last minute errands for the trip. It never ends! :faint:

I finally checked the weather forecast and it looks like a lot of showers so we picked up some cheap ponchos at Target. We bought the boys some DVDs to watch on their portable DVD player for the flight. They've pretty much exhausted our library and Netflix so I thought some new things might keep them occupied for the 3 hours we're in the air.

I had my hair cut and hope to get the the nail salon for a pedicure while DH and the boys are dropping dog 1 off at my in-laws. Dog 2 goes to the kennel tomorrow night. My neighbor will come by to feed the cat while we're gone.

I also got some exciting news! :cool1: One of my dearest friends lives in the Tampa area and she will be driving out to spend the day with us at HS on Saturday! I was hoping to add her to our Fantasmic! dinner package at Mama Melrose's that night. When I called Disney reservations they said there wasn't any availability. I thought that it would be easy to add her to our ADR but apparently it's not that easy. :confused3 I'm not panicking yet because it's likely some availability will open up with cancellations as we get closer. If we don't have any luck maybe we can just show up with her and see if they can accommodate us. Does anyone have any experience with a similar situation or any advice? Either way we'll figure something out. I'm just so excited that I will get to see her. :bounce: I'm hoping she'll go on ToT and RnRC with me so I don't have to go by myself.

How fun that you will get to spend some time with your friend and at Disney...what could be better? You are so close!!! So excited for you!

2 days!! So exciting!
I hope you got the boys Disney DVDs for the flight ... you can't really watch anything else on the way to Disney!

How exciting that your friend will be joining you! I hope you can add her to the Fantasmic! package ... not sure how easy it will be, but I'll keep my fingers crossed that you can!

we picked up some cheap ponchos at Target.

Oh? Why?
Why would you buy a poncho for $1 at Target when you can get them at Disney for $20?
Don't you think Disney could use that money?

the boys are dropping dog 1 off at my in-laws. Dog 2 goes to the kennel tomorrow night. My neighbor will come by to feed the cat while we're gone.

The gerbils!!! What will happen to the gerbils?????

One of my dearest friends lives in the Tampa area and she will be driving out to spend the day with us at HS on Saturday!

That's nice. :)

I'm hoping she'll go on ToT and RnRC with me so I don't have to go by myself.

 Strength in numbers?
