I think I'm happy with my adrs and thought I'd share and ask opinions but I have to cancel two

my husband has said only TWO character breakfasts and could me and my DD10 share a meal at the Brown Derby? this means we could share at the GFC too and pay oop for the other two kids meals

basic ddp - we are qsdp lovers as we like the freedom and hate wasting too much time at meals - which is why I have a couple of signatures

dec 16th Brown Derby 7.30 - never been but like the idea of leaving after dinner and seeing osbourne lights

dec 17th akershus 8.10 -we have 2 dds 10 and 7 and one ds 4 who previously has been really shy around princesses. I love tho that it's before the park opens

dec 17th LE CELLIER:banana:

dec 18th tusker house 8.10 - never been and again before park opens

dec 18th jiko 7.30 - absolutely our fave restaurant on property and want to see AKL decorated for xmas

dec 20th 'ohana 9.10 - never been my two dds want to meet lilo

dec 20th Grand Floridian Cafe 6.30 - never been but want to see the GF decorated for xmas

which two 1 ts would you cancel?

Im still holding out hope for an early crystal palace
on the 20th or 21st

I would get rid of Grand Floridian Cafe. You can still visit the GF to see it decorated without eating there :)

I would definatley keep Jiko since it is your favorite, Akershus for the princess expereince ( they are only young enough for that for a little while) & Ohana to meet Lili and Le Cellier b/c is is wonderful and really hard to get into. :)

For the first one, , maybe cancel GR Cafe...you can visit the resort w/ out actually eating there. THey are supposed to have a life size gingerbread house that you can enter and actually buy gingerbread cookies...that would be cool! I have also heard that at the entrance to the resort they have a replica of Cinderellas Coach that the kids can get in...fun!!

For the next one, mybe look at cancelling Tusker....it makes the most sense based on the info you provided...you can eat a quick breakfast in the room or something...here is a tip....if you will be at the MK the day efore by any chance go to the Main St. Bakery and get some delicious cinnamom rolls "to go " for brkfst in the room they next day. THey are a snack creidt and they are HUGE and YUMMY!!! They have other pastry items too but the cinnamon rolls are to die for!

I think I would also give up Grand Floridian..we went over one night just to see the decorations and gingerbread house..amazing..If the little ones like Donald Mickey Minnie and Daisy then keep Tusker HOuse and since you have an early one, then you can walk right out and get on Safari without a wait and the Food is one of the best Breakfasts at WDW. You have some tough ones to try to loose. We have done Brown Derby..it was good only because we did the lunch with an Imagineer. So I would be inclined to give up that one.

Definitely cancel GF Cafe; you can visit just to spend snack credits on gingerbread!

After that, I'd probably switch Brown Derby for a one credit meal at Studios rather than cancel anything else.

I would definitely say Brown Derby... not our fav at all and def not worth the 2TS creds.
And GF Cafe. Like they said... you can still go visit the GF and enjoy the decorations and get a cookie from the gingerbread house! :goodvibes

we LOVE Tusker House for bfast... it is our fav bfast on property.
Akershus bfast food is ok but it is a cool experience with the princesses and the building is gorgeous.
I am not a fan of Le Cellier but if you like it then keep it.
And never been to Jiko but if its a fav then its a must!
OHana is a good one too!!

So yea... GF Cafe and Brown Derby are my votes! :thumbsup2

I would cancel GF Cafe and Tusker House.

GF Cafe - really nothing special about it, you can easily stop in the GF to see the decorations

Tusker House - never really appealed to me. Your other choices are super, and this one is just so-so.

Brown Derby is GREAT! Wonderful food and lovely atmosphere! :thumbsup2

Akershus is such a magial experience for young girls!

Le Cellier- no brainer, don't cancel! :goodvibes

Jiko - Also my favorite!

'Ohana - The food and atmosphere has always been wonderful.

Good luck deciding and have a great vacation! :goodvibes

My first thought is to not cancel any of them. If you like all the ADRs you have, maybe pay for both of the breakfasts OOP since breakfasts tend to be less expensive.

My second thought is to cancel HBD. As others have said it is not worth 2TS credits. 50's is a better meal, IMO, and Sci-Fi is worth seeing once (not crazy about the food but I'm glad I checked it out). Since that would free up 1 of the 2 TS credits, I would also cancel GFC and stop by there on a MK day to see the decorations.

My DH has put the limit of character breakfasts to two:rolleyes: so......I guess that narrows down it a little

and do you think at Brown Derby we have three disney adults and two disney children......here's my idea could me, DH and DD 10 share two meals? thus leaving two credits for the GFC and sharing again and paying oop for the other two kids meals?

that means I'd only have to get rid of ONE character meal

I would cancel the Brown Derby. Are you sure you kids will like the food there enough to give-up the credits?
I would also do the 1900 dinner or breakfast in place of the GFC, if you can get one.

I didn't really care for HBD...

I'd cancel brown derby.

I LOVED Le Cellier and I LOVE LOVE "Ohana (eaten bfast there 4x)

The others I cannot comment on...

Have a magical visit !

Mary

I would not book more ADRs than I was intending on using. It is really obnoxious and disrespectful to other WDW patrons. Just my 2 cents.

aren't you just a sweet little bowl of helpful sunshine:hippie:

...that was NOT the question the OP asked.

OP...I'd cancel Tusker House and just get to the park at rope drop if you want to do early touring at Animal Kingdom. (I agree with your DH--two character breakfasts are enough, lol. The biggest problem with the breakfast buffets is the foods are all so similar it's kind of boring to eat more than one on a trip...we just did that in May, and was a waste of credits, IMO.)

Also, I'd cancel Brown Derby...so far, we've not found much real value in using 2 TS at the "signature" places. They're good, but not THAT good. I'd just eat counter service at DHS (or elsewhere) and then go look at the lights.

We do like Grand Flor. Cafe...and it's very handy to Magic Kingdom - just hop the monorail when you're done eating.

we are keeping the HBD because we dont want to spend every night at A TS for over an hour. We'd rather have the time spent at the parks - much more productive use of our time and my 10 year old loves adult food last year we upgraded her so she'd have more options.

VAUGHN:
we are still over 110 days from our wdw vacay and in the next two days I will post on the dec. cancellation board and then cancel any adr we arent going to use. However, other than le cellier all the adrs I have booked have always come up with various other times. HBD, GFC, Jiko, even askershus and 'ohana.

I hope you didn't find my message offensive. I just don't like the current ADR system and I get annoyed when people book more than they intend to use. I hope you cancel your extra ADRs and I hope you have a great trip. Good luck!

I didnt take offense - I hate that people make multiple adrs for the same nights with different phone numbers - it annoys me too. Im trying really hard not to and as soon as I figure out princesses over lilo over donald I will cancel them and try and coordinate with a fellow diser so they can get the adr.

my husband has said only TWO character breakfasts

Now for me that's just an invitation to move Akershus to lunch or dinner time:rotfl:lunch would be good then you get out of the heat for a while, it still gets pretty toasty at lunchtime in December! :-)

And I would cancel GF, just look around or use a CS credit at the Gasparilla Grill and Games.
