I really need a hug Update post 47

We had to rush our Dori (doxie in my signature) to the vet this morning. She is not doing good at all. She developed some sort of infection and they are trying to stabilize her. But, it doesn't look like she is going to survive. She wasn't feeling to to good last night, but nothing serious. It seems during the night she went downhill fast. Then we get home this morning and our oldest dog Katie had passed away. No idea what happened we think it may have been a heart attack. She was 15 years old and one of the best dogs in this house. If you could please spare some prayers for our Dori I would greatly appreciate. Her buddies Suzy and Savannah are lost without her. Thank you so much.

I can't imagine the heartache of 2 dogs at the same time. Does the vet think there is any connection?

Thank you all for the hugs and good thoughts. We asked the vet if it was the dog flu that is going around and he assured us that it is not. He said the diagnosis for Dori is pyrometria (spelling). The first thing we told them this morning was that there are other dogs in the house and wanted to make sure that she was not contagious.
