How do you do that and where do you do it. If you do that, can you use disney dollars more places than the disney rewards card?

I don't know about Disney Dollars, but I do know that you can turn disney rewards into Disney Gift Cards. I did this when my rewards were about to expire...gift cards don't expire. You could do this, then buy Disney Dollars using the Gift Card, I guess. HTH.

Do you have a Disney Store near you? I know they carry the dollars, and would probably do the exchange for you.

Yes, they will not let you use Gift Cards for Disney Dollars but you can use Reward cards to purchase Disney Dollars.

Back to the OP's reason for the question... I'm willing to bet any place that accepts Disney Dollars will accept the Disney Rewards card since they are both "Disney Currency". Well, provided they have a credit card machine too, I guess, so they can run the card.

Correct, some vending cart can't accept the cards. I also like having the dollars, because I have a lot of cards hanging around and it is hard to keep track of how much I have on each card. With Disney dollars there is no question of how much you have.

I really don't know if you can convert the cards to dollars but it would be nice.

I tried to use my DIsney rewards card that had my rewards money on it from my Disney Visa at the World of Disney Store in DTD and they wouldn't accept it. They said they won't take anything from the Visa rewards or Disney store becuase they aren't part of the resort...maybe it was just that CM or maybe its just DTD, but that is where I bought most of my stuff and the only place I had tried to use it...

Sounds like you had a "bad" CM. You def can use the rewards card at WOD.

I went online and printed out The Complete Disney Rewards Program Guide just to be sure. You can definitely use your reward card at World of Disney at Downtown Disney in Disneyland.

We had no problem using it in Feb at WOD store. Sounds like you got a misinformed cm. We even used our disney visa on another purchase over $50 to get the 10% off.

WOD is the only place I DID use it last year. So yes sounds like it was just the CM you had! Next time I'd ask for a supervisor if they try that. Because it is in the information that I got sent with the card, and I've done it before!
