Well it's official, I am no longer employed at Taco Hell (Bell.)

Actually my mother called to tell them I quit because if I had done they would have pressured me into staying. I quit not only because they treated me bad, but because I was put in awkward situations with a boy who is 20. Sexual harrassment most certainly was the primary reason for my departure.
But I am done with that place and couldn't be more happy...

Just thought I would share that with those of you who hear me complain all the time about how much I hate my job lol.
No I really just felt like sharing with all of you. :cutie:

Noooooooooooooooooooo! No more free tacos?!

JK. I do love tacos though. Glad you quit that hell hole!

good for you!!!!
too many people stay at jobs where they are treated poorly or get harassed.
glad you realized enough was enough and quit!!!!

thats crazy!!!!!!
but im glad.... i never liked taco bell its gross
down with taco bell!!!!!!!;)

Thanks guys!

The situation was really bad, and he made me very uncomfortable. I won't go into details as this is a family board, but it was certainly things that would be DEEPLY frowned upon.

If it is an issue I would take it management. Did you ever tell your boss? Or your boss's boss?
I work in the "fast food" industry (I say "fast food" because I work at Jamba Juice, a smoothie place, so its not really fast food, but is similar). In the back of my store we have a poster about sexual harassment and my managers and boss (general manager/owner) has to take a class every year about sexual harassment. If you were being sexual harassed you should go to your boss, even if you don't work there. He may be doing similar things to other girls that work there.
We had a tiny issue at my store with one of the employees purposely touching girl's butts (thank god not mine because he knew I would have broke his arm if he ever even touched my arm let alone my behind). They all went to my boss and the guy got written up and a suspended for a week. It stopped and was more or less harmless, but if it wasn't reported then who knows how far it would have gone.
Anyway, congrats on quitting. I'm not too happy at my job but I've been there for 17 months and can't find another job, which I need before I can leave Jamba. Plus leaving means a significant pay cut most likely....

Yes, that is the major problem. I went to my boss and the boss's boss, and they both did nothing to correct the issue. If something had been done I wouldn't have quit, because I need the money for insurance, but they did NOTHING. So I am frantically looking for a new job (non fast food related) with hopes that I will be in a better work environment. :)

Urg that would be frustrating, and also is illegal. Girl you so coulda (and still probs can) go to the police for all of it, not only the sexual harassment, but the lack of response by management. I know Jamba has an open door number, which is an outside company that we can call if we having issues that are being unresolved or if the issues are with our boss or boss's boss. But anyway,
hope you find a job soon! It's so hard out there right now so I feel you girl! I'm looking for either a new/second job right now. GOOD LUCK! =)

Congratulations! I really hope that you find a job that you really enjoy. :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes
