But why should he have to close this thread? he didn't ask for opinions on his writing style, he simply stated that he bought a figurine in Disney and there were people who immidently started picking on him.

What does you figurine of Boo look like? I am a big Boo fan - love that little giggle - and I can't find much with her in it. I saw one at DownTownDisney that was her in the monster suit - is that the one?

My take on all this...is that Flower Child is laughing his head off at all the people who have extended kindness and friendship toward him. Next, he could sell these people oceanside property in Nevada. I think he enjoys all the attention and sympathy and probably needs it, but do I think he is genuine-No. I just think he has a huge need for attention and gets it here. I've never seen more gullible people in all my life, honestly.

I think that you hit the nail on the head. A person who can post as articulately as he did on the animal rights threads can not be serious with all these "I'm a child and I'm an adult and I'm tiny and I'm tall and I have a skunk for a father and I have a mouse for a mother and blah blah blah" posts. It just doesn't happen. He doesn't ask for the threads to be closed because HE LOVES IT! It's all a game and everyone is behaving exactly how he wants you to. It's as simple as that.

Newsflash; any adult reading these member profiles and signatures with all of the 'tickers', 'colours' and 'smileys' (oh my!) would assume you are all a bunch of quacks just the same...err....or is it only the smiley that is deemed as 'childish'???

May the DIS poster who does not have any such 'childish' things in their posts/profiles/signatures cast the first stone...

Oh please...not the Holland Tunnel! I'd rather have elective dental surgery w/o any pain relief!! Especially during RUSH hour. The best part is the HORNS blaring...for sure (being facetious here folks..truly).

I'm sure MANY of us have such collectibles. My favorite is a Lion King sculpture...which is intricate (carved look) and very detailed. I'll be happy to post a photo if anyone wishes to see it. I have loads of others, including many old characters too! It's all in good "harmless" whimsical Walt-Disney FUN! Since when did this become a transgression of some sort? I've seen threads on here dedicated to SNOW GLOBES...etc. Why should a simple sculpture be any different? I can not believe the amount of vituperative posts on this thread. Is it cynicism in the face of being duped? (as in...I'll call you before you CON me?!?).

You never know "anyone" until you meet them face to face, or speak with them...etc. Like the old adage/aphorism attests: "Believe half of what you see, and NONE of what you hear!" Therefore, take it all with a grain of salt...and in the interim: DO UNTO OTHERS. Yet, if you choose to interact for the sake of entertainment and social bonding...in the very least, be civil.

It has become clear to me that anyone with an opinion different then the majority is going to be called "mean" a witch or worse.

This is the last I have to say on this subject. I asked FC if he understood the differnce between "being in touch with your inner child", and beliving you are child.

However, from his response he is saying that he doesn't understand the differnce between reality and fanstsy and feels his behavior is normal and should be accepted as just that. (if you disagree with me please re-read his response to me regarding this topic.)

Enjoying mice, Disney, chacter dinners, bring suffed animals and taking picutres. All harmless. In this way he is not hurting anyone and he can do as he pleases. Should he be made fun of??????? No, or course not.

Should we encourage adults who apear to not fully understand the difference between reality and fantasy and tell them that is ok and normal? I don't think so. This mind set has potential dangers.
