1) How brutal is Labor day weekend generally & aren't Fla. kids already in school?

2) How big of a deal is it if I say I have 1 child for a resort instead of two because it is a huge difference in price for either resort I would like (WL or AK lodge). Like two hundred a night difference. I don't think they'll inspect and count the kids at check-in. pirate:

I appreciate the advice / help in advance...I have the bug we just got back from FW C'ground Jan 2-8 but I would like a better pool for the kids........

P.S. In reference to the kids in a room potential honesty issue(s) please defer from any responses referring to "a moral dilemma" as this would in no way apply to me :rolleyes1 , I feel Disney is doing quite well and it is an issue of my comfort and tolerance and not profit margins.

Labor Day weekend will be busy..why? cause it's a holiday weekend and you can pretty much guarentee any holiday weekend will be busy. It should thin out as the week goes on though.

As for how big a deal it is to say you have 1 less child. Well besides it's against Disney's fire policy if you have more then allowed in a room, there is also the issue of room cards. You will need a room card for each of the people in your room for EMH.

I'm a little confused. Well, I can say that all day every day  , but I'm a little confused about your situation.

Are you two adults and two children? If so, I can't imagine a WDW resort room that can fit 3 but not 4. I also wasn't aware of any situations in which WDW charges PER PERSON for a room, I thought it was just per room per night, regardless of the number of guests registered in the room as long as that number is within the range of 1 to 4.

Momof2 has a good point with Extra Magic Hours. EVERYONE entering an EMH park (morning) or going on rides/attractions and shopping in an EMH park (evening) MUST have a resort ID which gets electronically scanned. No resort ID equals no dice for EMH. So if both of your kids are 3 or over, you won't be able to use EMH as a family. The only exception to that is kids under 3 -- since they don't have park passes/room keys to begin with, they don't need extra EMH proof. As a CM once told me, what are the odds that we are bringing someone else's 2-year-old into the park with us?

Please post again, I'm dying to know what your situation is that it will make a difference in price whether you 'declare" one or two kids.

and this makes it a huge difference................

As far as EMH, my mom could stay back with our little one..........

GO EAGLES right AC, New Jersey.

the right or wrong of it not withstanding...

Are you willing to spend your whole vacation "ducking" the CMs at your hotel? Or the worry or concern that you could return to your hotel one day and find out you have a huge bill waiting, have to move or worse, being asked to leave altogether?

How about a room at POR that would fit five? Could that work for you?

We stayed this past Labor Day Weekend.. and it was not bad AT ALL.

Actually, the Friday before Labor day was HEAVEN! Parks were empty, no lines, tons of individual attention.

We are thinking of returning there this year, and then leaving Labor Day morning.

He posted this on resorts also, and it's more like 7 people he is trying to fit into one room.:scared1:
