The first thing we saw when we walked out of the Character Spot were some other characters, I dont even remember who, with people lined-up for photos. For a brief moment we thought, Should we? Then we all unanimously said, No! We couldnt take another long wait for character photos, especially outside in the heat.

But, since it was so hot we decided to visit Club Cool again for a pause that refreshes.

No takers on Beverly this time, but we compared notes and tried to decide which ones we liked best. There were several different opinions on this, so I think well go with anything other than Beverly.
Then we went to use our fastpasses on Test Track. The weather looked fine when we went in, but while in line we heard an announcement that bad weather was approaching and it was possible that the ride could be shut down. So we held our breath and crossed our fingers and shut our eyes really tightly, saying no, no, no and please, please, please.

Just kidding, except for the please, please, please part. Fortunately, rain did not interrupt our ride and we got on. So here, come along on the ride with us, at least for the more thrilling section.
My favorite part is this banked curve.
And our photopass picture showing my camera technique. We look pretty mellow in this one. Marlene still closed her eyes.
Then we decided to leave the park. On the way out we ran into a photopass photographer and asked him to take a few pictures for us.
One with my camera.
Then a bunch from his camera, jazzed-up with borders and everything.
He took a couple of the girls. Fortunately James didnt feel left out. I guess wed been photographed enough over the last few days that he didnt really care.
And then a few of Judy and I.
I dont even know what to say about this hot, sweaty kiss.
We left the park at about 3:00 and were back home by 3:20. I took a couple of pictures of this piece of folk art that is in the Kidani lobby. Ive seen it in a few other peoples trip reports. If I remember correctly, this sits on top of the TV that constantly runs Disney cartoons for kids to watch while their parents take care of business at the front desk. I like the close-up picture better for the color and detail, but you need the second one from further back to see what the guy is doing. Hes wearing a pretty fancy hat for plowing.
We were all exhausted
the week was catching up with us. So, instead of going to the pool, we closed all the curtains (it can get pretty dark in those AKL suites) and we all napped until about 5:00. We needed it.
