Just wanted to share a
story......
I'm taking my nephew to Disney on November 13th. He had NO idea until his birthday party last night. I have taken each of my nieces on their own solo trip to Disney and he calls me about every other week asking when I'm going to take him, so I've been planning the trip for months, but we couldn't figure out how to tell him. Then we came up with just making a cake in the shape of 28 ... that's 28 Days to Disney, my SIL ordered it and they took cupcakes and shaped them into a big 28 for his cake. We thought for sure he would figure it out because whenever I have a trip coming up I'm always saying "50 days to Disney!" "32 days to Disney!" ect...but NOPE, he had no clue he thought the "8" was for him, since he turned eight and the "2" was for his little sister who is two years old. I could not believe he didn't know right away!
So....When I was at the Hallmark card store Thursday they had this awesome card. Mickey is sitting on a hill looking up at the stars and when you press the button on the card it plays........"When You Wish Upon a Star." AND the STARS on the front light up and twinkle!!! It is the COOLEST card I ever saw.....except it cost $8, FOR A CARD...a card that has music and twinkles, but still....it just about killed me, but I could not resist and I bought the $8 birthday card and I put the date of our trip inside and wrote "Just You & Me...28 Days! Disney World!"
So when he wasn't figuring out the 28 cake, I remembered my card and gave it to him and when he pushed the music button and opened that card.....the look on his face...it was the best
you could see the whole thing dawning on him and When You Wish Upon a Star is playing from the card and his eyes got all big and he jumped up and ran over and hugged me....it was just perfect. It made me think of what Kevin is always saying about it not being the cost, but the value. Turned out the $8 card was worth every penny.
