Every August, should I transfer the resale OKW to my CC account to I now manage 365 points, and then borrow from future years as needed?

Any negatives to this approach.

No need to transfer you can use from both contracts as needed. But of course the home resort priority stays in place. So your 190 OKW points could only be used at CC at the 7 month point, not 11 months. But yes if you wanted 11 month priority you could for example use two years worth of CC (by borrowing) to book there (and zero OKW). And then the next year use zero CC and use two years worth of OKW - so alternating resorts. Or combine and use anywhere at 7 months. But yes some people envision combining points from various home resort contracts to use them all at 11 month. Nope :)

Not quite sure what you are asking since both have the same use year. Direct points give you all the blue card perks resale points have various restrictions. The two will not overlap for perks, but can be used and mixed to book different resorts in the 7 month window, except the RIV if points are post 2019 resale

If they are both under the same membership, it makes no sense to transfer them and actually, you can't transfer them.

Transfers are only between Memberships, so unless the contacts have different membership numbers, you can't transfer points between them. As others have already posted, transferred points retain their home resort and use year tags.

Transferred points can not be borrowed, only banked.

Being the same UY would help you keep track but transferred points do not show up online easily.

They do a temporary contract in your account to hold them. You will only see them whe you go to book so you really have to keep track

Because they are different resorts, you can’t combine them until booking a trip 7 months or less so I wouldn’t even move any until you know you will need them to finish a reservation.

thanks....we NEVER EVER EVER book before 7 months.

Usually 1-4 months

Transfers are made between memberships. You said both contracts are the same UY, but are they in the same membership (IE same ownership, because you said "I own")? If so, there's nothing to transfer.

I'm guessing you haven't closed on or received your OKW points yet? Once you do it will make more sense but both contracts should be under 1 membership and then you just select what contract you use points from when you are making the reservation. Home resort priority will restrict the contract not applicable if you are booking during the 11-7 month window.
