I never wished I had a father growing up until I became one

I miss my dad, too. He passed away when I was 11. He was an electrician, breathed in asbestos, and died of cancer. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think about him and know how much I really miss him. But I am glad that I was blessed to have him for the short time I did.

Wow! That was truly touching. Your story about seeing the Lion King really moved. Disney's best at work.

I lost my own dad the year I married so my children never met him. Even so, it's funny how I see some of him in them. He genuinely loved kids and they him. I have fantasies of him at a Yankee game with them.

Anyway, thanks for the post. Your sons are gorgeous. Watch out when they get a little older. Happy Father's Day to you.

What a beautiful post. My Father is dying of a rare illness, and I feel like he's dead already and he's still alive. It's nice not to feel alone and know a lot of other people out there are going through what we go through on a daily basis. Thanks for reminding me I'm not alone.
