I was just going to suggest the same thing, if it's feasible. Fly home via France and visit Disneyland Paris for a day. Or two. Good luck! It takes some time to get over a deep disappointment, so you are good to vent here and not your family, who may interpret it as "spoiled" or "uncaring." (We don't think so, because we feel your pain.)

My hat's off to you. Missing out on going to WDW for such a long time is really depressing. You're doing it for a great reason, though. WDW is about families, and you're putting yours first. That's just great. Quit feeling bad about feeling bad and pat yourself on the back a little--you deserve it.

FWIW, I'm on the opposite end. Our trip in Dec will probably be the last with our children. My daughter's will be a soph in high school next year, and there are other places we really need to go in the next few years. I just don't see us getting back to WDW before she's out of school. I know my wife and I will have trips in the future, but I don't see how it will be the same without our "little ones."

Take care and remember the Disboards are the next best thing to visiting WDW (cheap, too!).

Lol. What is it about Portugal? My mom's friend is Portuguese and apparently needs to get her Portugal "fix" AT LEAST every few years.

I've never been to the Azores-I'd gladly buy a WDW package and trade with you! I'll take a cataplana over mickey ice cream any day.
