I need to publicly thank someone

I've done it privatly, but I thought he deserved other people to know about it too.

Most of you know about a year or two ago, things in my life weren't good at all. I spilled my guts out for you all to see and you comforted me and offered advice and supported me as I went through it. I can not thank you enough for that. Some of you have gotten much closer because of it and I will treasure those friendships always.

But, one person saved me. With his silly, irreverent, sometimes outrageous humor, With asking me questions and not taking "fine" for an answer, for just caring and talking to me, he saved me from doing something horrible. I have been too embarrassed to mention this to all but a very few. But thread, that I opposed, has been on my mind and I think he deserves it to be made public.

If it wasn't for his kindness in listening to me, I probably wouldn't be here.

A small act of kindness can mean so much. Even though you don't always realize you've done something special, it's nice to be told that you have.

Years ago, I was having a difficult time in my life. I wanted to just pack it in and leave. My niece needed a ride home from school. It was Feb, cold and raining. She called, her little voice on the other end, Can you please come pick me up Aunt Denise????

I love her like my own, I stayed and went to pick her up. She didn't know that her call and her needing me saved a lot of heartache. I later told her - months later but she remember that day and said I sounded so down. I was. Someone was watching over me, her and now probably you to bring you that special friend who helped you along the way. Never doubt that he too has benefited from helping you out.

Glad you let us all know your better.
