I need to explain to friend that TS isnt as easy at FIVE years ago!

Im trying to explain to a friend that table service isnt as easy to walk into as it was five years ago. I tell her about the dining plan etc. Maybe if you explain it to her she'll work on her dining plans as her 180days is next Monday. Thank you

You could tell her my latest experiences....in WDW in early Dec. At every single meal I had, TS, there were very unhappy people being turned away because they didn't want to wait the over an hour long wait because they didn't have any ADRs. If there is someplace you really want to eat at, you had best 'stir your stumps' and get on the phone.
I'm planning a trip in mid May with my dh and dd. Haven't booked yet though. I know I'm going to have a really hard time getting the ADRs I want at the times I want. But I realize that going in.
And with the DDP, it is even harder to book those ADRs if you don't do it as soon as you can.

You explained it your friend. Now it's time for your friend to find out on her own. Are you going with her? If not, does it affect you at all? You are probably one of those people who say "I told you so" over and over. Let it go.

I just called and made some ADRs for mid-May and surprisingly got every time and restaurant I wanted. Not sure if it's because of the restaurants I chose or not. LOL These restaurants had a lot of ADRs still available for mid-May (11th - 16th) Le Cellier (dinner), 50'sPrimeTime (dinner), Marrakesh (lunch), Brown Derby (lunch), Boma (dinner), and LTT (lunch). I hope you're able to get the ADRs you want, too!

P.S. When and where will you be?? We'll be at PO-FQ, May 11 - 16

Your 'Stir your stumps' comment got me laughing -- and then it got me on the phone. We are going in mid-May, too. Luckily, I got every ADR I wanted at the exact times I had estimated. But thanks for the motivation. I needed it!!

Edited to add: We are going 5/7--5/11. Made ressies for Le Cellier (dinner), Rose & Crown (lunch), Brown Derby (dinner), Crystal Palace (lunch), O'Hana (dinner), Plaza (lunch), and 1900 Park Fare (dinner).

Hey, I didn't know you were going down then too!!! Karen made me so jealous of her May trip that I just had to book one too!! I'm arriving the morning of the 15th. I think we'll be at either Pop or FQ. FQ is I can get a good rate. Then dh and dd arrive the next night, very late. I guess I had better call today and get on the stick and get those meals all set.

Oh I wish you were arriving one day earlier! We're meeting Karen for dinner at 'Ohana on Sunday night, May 14th. Would've loved to have you join us! Maybe another Fire & Ice meet soon, a little closer to home!
