I just booked the Free dining package checking in October 2nd (the latest I could check in and still get it). I have absolutely NO IDEA who will be going with me but was assured by the CM I could add them to the package/room later and they would still be under the free dining plan. I'm not poor but I'm also not rolling in money. I'm a single Social Worker that supports herself, lol:rotfl: I put the $200 deposit on a credit card that I've been trying to pay down  Anyway, I have until August 18th to find someone to go (who can afford it) but I'm still, this was a bit out of character for me. I just need someone to tell me I wasn't totally crazy to do this:eek::rotfl::eek:

You aren't crazy! You have plenty of time to find someone to go with you and if for some reason it doesn't work out then you can get your deposit back. Disney is up front and gives you the date you loose your deposit by and the date you need to pay for the remainder of the trip. Look at it this way, if you haven't booked and waited until you found someone to go with, the free dining rooms might be gone. You are just "hedging your bets"!

Go ahead and make your dining reservations too for 2 or 4. :goodvibes You are not crazy just thinking ahead as you want to take a vacation to Walt Diseny World:goodvibes

You're not crazy, you still have PLENTY of time to find someone to go with you, and plenty of time to cancel if you change your mind.

I know! The only reason I even considered booking it was because I could get a full refund if I cancel before August. Still...I hated to put that deposit on my credit card:rolleyes: It's my goal to find someone to go by June...

Oh...I did the same thing for Free Dining last December. I went ahead and booked, made all my ADRs, but ended up canceling right before we hit our 45 day mark. It was torture to cancel, and now I feel like I was crazy for canceling. None of my reasons seem sufficient anymore. Sure I'm having a baby, and my husband can't take off any time except for when the baby comes, and we're moving to South Korea in September, so we should be saving our money for that, buuuuut...now I don't get to go back for 2 1/2 years from now, which will end up being THREE YEARS between trips.

So I say go...you never know what will happen that will keep you away for much longer than you expect.

I've moved this thread to the Doing the Happy Dance! board. :)

i know it totally stinks to put the $200 on the credit card that you are trying to pay down. so im going to justify it for you! :goodvibes you got a GREAT deal on your trip! even if you end up going solo you are going to the happiest place on earth! you will have a magical time!~ :wizard: :wizard:

No your not crazy, it sounds like something i would do. I remember booking a trip one year (not in Disney) and had a few different hotels booked at once and i kept changing my mind every day and making more reservations, it was like a sickness to me. Eventually i did narrow it down but i am crazy like that because i get so excited and have to book it right away until something better comes along. Well the good thing is you can cancel without penalty before the 45 days but i am sure you will find someone to go with.
