I need some info for my mom who will be in an ECV

My mom is disabled and will be using an ECV for the first time. She can walk but not for long distances, and not for any length of time. For example She could walk through the line for pirates of the caribbean if there was no wait but couldn't stand there in a 20 minute line.

Which rides will she be allowed to stay in her ECV? With this new GAC (I forget the new name) will she be allowed to stay in her ECV to get on all rides...or would the wait time be so minimal that she can just walk right on?

The ECV can be brought through most lines. There are a few (see the sticky) that will require she transfer from the ECV to a wheelchair, provided at the attraction. There is no other way to have a seat in line than to bring the ECV or wheelchair through the line.

The DAS is not needed to utilize accessible entrances. Most queues at WDW are "mainstreamed" meaning the ECV goes through the regular line. On the few attractions where that isn't true, you will be directed accordingly. There is no need for a DAS simply to use the ECV in lines. The DAS is for "invisible" disabilities for those who require an alternate area to wait outside the queue. It does not reduce wait times. You might also want to plan to utilize Fastpass and/or Fastpass+ to provide for shorter waits.

ECV will not be allowed though POTC for safety reasons. You need to switch to a wheel chair. I have to thank Dave when we had multiple chair needs and he stepped up for someone to push the extra person!
