I haven't scrapped in a long time! I did go to 2 crops in the fall and got a lot done but now I haven't done anything........I haven't even been ordering my pictures to scrap! Which isn't like me at all!
I have tried all the tricks to get motivated....looked at magazines, web pages...organized my stuff, even went shopping and bought nothing....I am now so behind...........Not that I was ever caught up but I really did keep up with school and scouts...
UGH!!!!!!!!!! The farther behind I get the less I want to do............

I'm right there with you Sondra. I'm hoping when I go on vac. in 2 weeks to pull everything out and get alot done...........:)

I would start by ordering the pics...I know sometimes i can look at pics on the computer and say "oh how nice" but thats it. But sometimes seeing the glossy photos in hand will help. If you have digital, try ordering on shutterfly.com. They have some great deals and the photos turn out great. I would also suggest to go back to scrapbook store. This time get something that you have never worked with before. Like if you have never done embossing before get an embossing kit. I find, for me anyway, that the thought of learning a new technique can really get me motivated. Also I Tivo scrapbooking shows every day. There is one on DIY network called scrapbooking if you haven't watched it before. And even though some of the episodes are old, I still see some techniques I have never tried. And there are times where I have gone to the store to go get something i saw on there and come right home to try it out. Also something else that motivates me is that I love sharing my scrapbook pages with some of my friends and family. I guess you could call it "showing off" a bit. But I love to show off my pics from my latest trip or latest event with fun scrapbook pages. I could show everyone my pics as is, but when you have so many pics it is exhausting talking about each one. With my scrapbook I can pretty much let the pages do the talking which I love. So maybe try to think of someone you'd like to "show off" your pictures to. And make it a goal that you want to have "x" amount of spreads to show them the next time you see them. Hey and who know maybe that person will give you some praise for your creativity...and who can say that that isn't motivation right there?:wizard:

I would sign up for a couple classes in something different at the scrap store. My LSS has card classes, page classes, pinecone press book classes, etc. They get me out of my rut and energize me to get busy, plus it's face time and fun for someone who's usually solitary at work and home.

I only dream of scrapbook stores! All of them have closed..one by one...We have a michael's and Joannes but they don't thrill me at all! We have one store now but it is a full hour away and a horrible drive on the turnpike!
I think I just need to find time and sit down and scrap. I may look for another crop.

That's pretty depressing! We have two good ones here but when I am in a rut I online shop. I check out my favorite sites and see if they have anything new. If they do, and I "need" it then I can't wait to get it and then the motivation is there!!!
