I would love to surprise my family (DH, DD12, DD9 and DS8) with a trip to the world in Dec. 2006. I know it's a long time out, but I am on a budget. I love to hear all the ways everyone saves. I also need to be able to have a place to talk about my "secret" so I don't burst and tell my family.

I have already got a small stash put away in an account. I am saving change, I will be having a garage sale next week. I am thinking about e-baying also. But I will need a new computer, and a digital camera for that.

How do I keep my incentive going over the next 18 months with out getting discouraged?

We'll also be celebrating two birthdays if we go then (DD9 and DH).
We'll be flying. I'd love to stay at the Poly 3-6 nights, we'll be going for 7 days I think.

How will I spring this on them? We've surprised the kids in the past, now how do I surprise DH?

Thanks for letting put my dreams into real words!

Start watching for specials now--sign up for Southwests Ding program and just start watching flights (i booked 5 adult tix roundtrip nonstop for $410 including tax)---go to mousesavers.com and sign up for their monthly newsletters and really keep an eye out for deals and great rates. Do searches on the internet--things do pop up now and then! Buy your tickets one at a time so there isnt a huge bunch of $$ going out at once---also try putting $25 a week back in savings--it will really start adding up. You can buy little things at the end of summer like suntan lotions and will save $$ there instead of buying right before u leave.

Now how to keep your incentive up? Easy-come on here and post--continually look for great rates daily, start reading up about the park and all the fun thats going on--watch Disney movies or buy a Disney CD to listen to around the house or in the car to keep u in the "mood".

Now how to spring the surprize?? I could have a ton of fun doing that!! Heres a suggestion--go buy some Disney dollars and wrap them up in the birthday wrapping paper (u can give this to them like an early gift or even mail it to them w/out a return address or someone elses address)--they will open this and wonder what its for---make a home video (have someone else shoot it for u if need be) and have Disney music playing in the background and tons of disney props--as u pan over the props (like a stuffed mickey, disney videos, those type of things)--then focus in on the plane tickets/calendar,etc---im sure by then they will get the hint!!!
