Need ideas for Valentines Day goodie bag for my DD's 4th grade class. There are only 9 kids so I can make it a little nicer but I don't want to fill it with a lot of plastic junk stuff. If it were all girls it would be easy but with boys too I am at a loss for things they wold all like that isn't too childish because of course by 4th grade, they are SO grown up!

So far I have a pad of Mad Libs...I got a long way to go!

Thanks!

Lisa

Well, around here, I know the girls are into those Japanese shaped erasers. I have seen them everywhere lately.

I always find boys so much more difficult to think of little things for...

We did a home valentine party last year...this is what I did:

A Red mug filled with:
Hot chocolate packets (2)
V-day pencil
wedding bubbles found at dollar store
scattered cinnamon heard candies on top

curling ribbon on handle to tie on nametag

I would do mad-libs, a valentine pencil and some candy and leave it at that. As a mom of 3 kids that has had countless goody bags come home through the years I can tell you that anything else would just get thrown out anyway, don't waste your money.

I'd stick with mostly school supply type things. Target has a lot in the dollar spot section right now. I'd go with things like: post it notes, erasers, pencils, a ruler, stamp or stickers, paperclips, a small notebook, markers/crayons/pens and then either a lollipop or one candy of some sort.

Are you in charge of the party as well? Why not do just a pencil or pen, the Mad Libs, and a bunch of candy? Kids will love that.

If you're in charge of the party, maybe you can do a few games and pick up some nice prizes.. like a $5 iTunes gift card or something like that for each game, so the winner (do maybe 3 or 4 games) gets something cool, but you don't have to worry too much about filling up a goody bag with junk that'll get thrown away!
