Hiya All

You may/may not remember me. I'm Wheelsie I used to be a reg here a few years back.
Well Ya'll I need your help. I have been using EdgePark for many years to order my monthly ostomy supplies. They have recently been screwing up my orders, saying my bill wasn't paid or my deductable wasn't met. I tell them every month you have a CC on file, just charge it to that CC & stop sending me a bill that I don't need to pay & wasting paper etc.

Well After a year and a half of this crap, I need advice and opinion on getting in touch with a new Medical Supply Company. Who Do You Use? Do You Like them? What is the Customer Service Like When You Have To Call Them etc?

any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. thank you.

:eek:Thanks for the heads up--my nursing partner has recently started referring our ostomy patients to them. In the past they have done a great job. Can you check the website for whatever products you use and get recommendations. I am sure the Hollister and Convatec sites have recommendations. Is there a local company you could contact==DME in your area that you could start using. THat way you could choke them face to face. I think CCS Medical, Sterling, and AOS are all companies that could help. Have you tried contacting the Edgepark rep for your area? They used to call on our clinic all the time. Ask the local ostomy nurse who you might could call in the company- or have you done this already. I love Edgepark catalogues, though....they are the best. Good luck to you.;)

I have contacted EVERY DME in my area. No One Does ostomies, except one and they are Private Pay and I have never had to submit my OWN request for payment to insurance b/c I've always used EdgePark, I wouldn't even know where to start.

Please Help! :D

I will definately try the places you mentioned though. Thank You In Advance.

Also I wouldn't know who the LOCAL rep is in my area for Edgepark, they were refered to my by my Dr when I was 19 when I got my ostomies. I dont even know where to find that guy anymore??? (the DR LOL)

I started calling places around me for that VERY reason, so I could go in and run em over in my chair if I had to! :P LOL ;)

:) I will do a quick check in our office tomorrow. I haven't helped with ostomies much the last 5 years and I am at a new job. Will check tomorrow and see if there are any others and let you know if I find any. Advance TIssue and All South are a couple of others in our area that are used. I know they do wound supplies, not sure about the ostomy but might be worth looking at their website. Good luck to you and I hope the folks aren't wearing sandals.....

:) Also, if you need to ever speak with an osotmy professional go to www.wocn.org, the Society for Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses. You can find WOC Nurses near you and can look to see who is advertising on the site.
