My friends and I are leaving in two weeks for Disneyland and need some help with stuff to do at night. I can't seem to find the hours for Downtown Disney to find out what is still open after the parks close. Can anyone help me find out this information. We are going to have 6 days there. Also Could you help us find some good food places. Either in or out of the
park(s). There is just WAY too much information out there to sort. The boards have been helpful so far. Thanks!!

:D

Congrats on your upcoming trip! I will be there soon, Oct. 8-12.

I was trying to find the DD hours too. I did find the hours, I think it was on the official site www.disneyland.com but it wasn't under the schedule and hours link. I clicked on the link that leads you to the list of stores in DD, then clicked on the individual stores/restaurants. Very generally, it seems that on the weekdays it closes at 11 p.m., longer on weekends. However, it doesn't mention if it closes earlier during slow season, etc. (which I would expect).

Food places...I'm not sure what your budget is, but these are some of my favorites or places I have heard good things about:
* Blue Bayou in DL, a sit-down restaurant. Lunch is a lot cheaper than dinner. I think this is a MUST if you haven't done it before.
* French Market (? I think this is what it's called, in New Orleans Square) has good soups in bread bowls.
* Plaza Inn on Main Street, good character breakfast, and dinner is good too. Buffeteria style.
* Acapulco (off site), across the street from the Howard Johnsons, but someone posted that it may have closed. I hope it's still open, I really like that place. Good Mexican food.
* A lot of people like to go to the Tony Roma's across the street on Harbor Blvd.
* A friend was just telling me how she loved the character dinner buffet at Goofy's Kitchen in the DL Hotel. They have breakfast too, not sure about lunch.
* I plan to try Naples in DD, heard good things about that, and Napa Rose in GC (expensive).
* DCA has lots of sit-down places, including Avalon Cove and the Robert Mondavi Winery Place (can't remember the exact name). I have NOT heard good things about Soap Opera Bistro.
* I'm trying Cocina Cucamonga, a fast-food Mexican place in DCA which I've heard good things about.
* I like Rainforest Cafe, though others may not agree. I've been to the ones in Vegas and AK (WDW) and really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food (very large portions).

There's another lengthy post about food places in the area, you may want to try a search. If I see it, I'll post a link. www.mouseplanet.com is a pretty good site if you want to see menus.

For now, Happy Planning!

Unfortunately Disney is updating their Disneyland hours and the hours part of the official site has been DOWN for the past couple of days. I don't think it will affect Dowtown Disney, but it is possible they will be shortening park hours for October.

For outside of the park, on Harbour Drive there is Tony Roma's. There are other family restaurants all along this street -- even McDonald's.
Don't bother going to the Spaghetti Junction (also off site).
The Blue Bayou is great. (DL)
DCA has a fairly good counter service eatery -- Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill
When we were at DCA, they had the Eureka Parade. (Very nice) A good place to watch that would be the Golden Vine Winery. (But we did not go there.)

Luv2Roam,

Don't bother going to the Spaghetti Junction (also off site).

Why? I'd heard good things about it and the review for anheim restaraunts gives it a pretty good rating. We are planning on going there on Saturday night.

Only 1 1/2 more days!!!!!
:)
