I need Crocs opinions, especially the new Alice ones? Ordering soon--help me ;-)

I want to try crocs out for our Disney trip next month but can't decide what style and color to get. The Alice ones look appealing because they are slimmer and less bulky looking but I'm concerned with the closed style that my feet will sweat more in them. Has anyone tried these out? Also, what shade is the chocolate--is it a dark brown and how does it look? I ordered the mary janes in pearl but am not that enthused about the color and they don't have any left in my size in chocolate or black so I'm returning them and getting either the Alice or Caymans I think. Opinions?

My daughter does the Crocs (2 1/2 years old) and likes them, but they aren't her favorites. Where are you finding the Alice/princess ones?

For me personally, I don't like the Crocs as much as I like my Clarks and those work better for me not only for comfort but for seasonal issues.

The Alice ones are just a new Mary Jane style that don't have holes in them. They do have Disney crocs where the holes are shaped Mickey Mouse style. I've never tried Clarks. What style do you like?

I have pearl caymans and chocolate mary janes. I like the chocolate color (dark- like dark chocolate) better than the pearl. My 3 boys and my husband all have caymans too. They are quite comfortable (I've worn my Athens almost non-stop for the past year). For normal wear (work - I'm a teacher), I wear the Mary Janes. I work with a few women who wear the Caymans to work (yard duty supervisors, and first grade teachers). I normally wear my pearl caymans to Disneyland (the color is neutral enough to go with all my summer colors). Not sure which ones I'll bring for our Nov. trip this year.

Okay, yup, we've got the "toodles" shape ones - Morgan likes those. I heard about princess ones and have been looking for her because I know those would be a hit. If anyone knows of those, let me know please!

Clarks - honestly, I've had 3 different pair in the last year and love each one of them. They're unbelievably comfortable and have really saved my feet at DL. Love my sandals and love the closed toe slipper type too - just depends on the style you like, but I'm prone to not wearing socks so I pick styles that let me get away with that. Only drawback on Clarks is the price, the ones I'm planning to get for the next trip (and winter) are $79 I believe. Service is wonderful though and they will replace anything you have a problem with - no questions asked! I think I paid around $40 for the sandals and I'll be buying another pair soon because I don't think I can live without them. They're cute too - I get lots of comments!

I do not recommend the Alice style for the following reasons:
1. My feet do sweat and feel icky in them. This has not been a problem with my Camen or Mary jane styles.
2. They HURT The style is cute, I had tried the primas and could not get them to stop slipping so I thought the Alice style would be the answer. They are cute and I have been wearing them around my office but I would not wear them to a park. The bracket for the strap sits right at the arch of the foot and within an hour I had a huge sore. I have started wearing 2 bandaids on each foot to cushion the bracket. I called crocs and the cust. service gal I talked to said that she had heard that complaint from others.

I have decided to stick with the Mary Janes which are much cuter than the cayman/beach styles but also very comfortable. They are not as slim or cute as the prima/alice styles. They are cut fuller with a more boxed toe. The prima/alice styles are cut like a balet slipper.

Thanks so much! Nice to get feedback from someone who's tried these out. I was worried about the sweating factor. I think I'll stick with the Mary Jane's or Cayman's.

I haven't tried the Alice style, but I wore my Mary Jane Crocs for 11 days in WDW last year. I walked the tread off of them while there, but never had a hot spot or blister. I'll be bringing Crocs to Disneyland this year for sure!

There is a little girl in my daughters preschool class that says her feet sweat really bad in the alice crocs. I had the primo ones and mine sweat too. I prefer the old fasion ones.

I have a pair of the Mickey crocs, because everyone seems to rave about how comfortable they are. Supposedly, they're meant to fit loose, but I found it made my foot slip around a lot, and it was kind of hard for me to get traction. The result was a sore leg that had me limping. I didn't realize it was my crocs at first, but 10 days later (I'm slow!) I chucked them aside and went back to my old sneakers and my leg was feeling a bit better by the end of the day. I live in San Francisco, though, and I found the problem with traction was mostly on the hills. People in a flatter area might not have the same problem. I'm toying with the idea of trying out the Mary Janes, but I haven't decided yet.

That is EXACTLY what I was thinking!! Dang I was ready to find the link in this thread to buy some Alice in Wonderland Disney Crocs! I just my Alice! Guess I'm stuck with my white and pink Mickey ones.

I tried on the Alice crocs at nordstrom. They are very cute and comfy. Spongier on the bottom than Primas (I hate Primas). I don't know that I'd do parks in them, though. If you do, I'd wear peds to prevent sweating/sticking. I wear Hue hidden cotton liners in my Primas so my feet don't sweat.

FYI, my shoe size is 7.5, and the 7 Alice fit perfectly.

FWIW, my favorite crocs ever are the sassari's, but not for Disneyland! LOL!
