Ds (4) has just started asking for this Bakugan thing. Apparently it was in one of the toy catalogs but now I can't find it. (I think it was in the Target one that came several weeks ago.) He asked Santa for it this weekend when we were on the North Pole Express train ride.

It's a Bakugan card holder. You wear it on your arm and a piece comes up that you can stick the Bakugan cards into. I guess it's for a game? Not sure. I recall seeing the pic but have no clue what it was called.

Any ideas??

Thanks so much both of you! YES, that's it! I knew I could count on my Dis friends!

Now, can I get Bakugan cards to go with it? Do they sell those like baseball cards??

The cards come with the little plastic Bakugan guys. I've seen them in single packs (one guy and a card), triple packs, and bigger packages. Here's a link to a triple pack.

They are a very cluttery toy, but the boys seem to love them for some reason.

My 6 year old loves bakugon. The balls are pretty cool, they are magnets that snap open when they are put on something metal. They come in different colors and snap open into different things (dragons, robots, and other neat stuff). Some of the playing cards are magnetic which is how the game works. You roll the ball out onto the card. Then they battle and depending on the backugan and the points on the card you total it up to see who wins that battle.

My son has tried to play the actual game with his dad and quickly lost interest (there's a lot of math required). The wrist thing is to do the math for you as you play the game and to hold your cards when you play. I honestly don't think a 4 year old would like the wrist thing very much, he'll probably just want to play with the balls. I'd recommend you just get him several sets of balls and a box to put them in.

I find those balls in all sorts of interesting places in my house were my son has left them...refrigerator, the front door, lamps, etc.

LOL...greeeaaatttt...just what I need...little Bakugan balls everywhere!

I don't know why he has such an obsession with this wrist thing. I really would have preferred to wait until next year or the year after to start with Bakugan. But we'll likely get it for him, and I'll order the 3 pack of cards/balls and then we'll see what happens. Thanks! :goodvibes

Just make sure when you buy it that the guantlet you get matches teh balls that you get. I found out the hard way that one of the gauntlets is for the first generation of bakugan not the second generation. The second generation balls are just slightly larger and don't fit in the launcher. :headache: Such a pain because then DS still wanted another one.

Great...soemthign else that won't work with the stuff he already has...I ordered him some new Bakugan for Christmas (if anyone's looking, TRU had the battle packs on sale for $15....great deal from the $25-30 they usually are!).....
