We are not on the dining plan so something not too pricey. There is me, dh, ds8 and dd6.

So far I have ADR'S at CRT and The Plaza but we are doing two days in MK and two days in Epcot but one of our Epcot evenings we will be going to DTD for dinner.

I need a dinner ADR for Mk ( or would consider going to a resort) and one for Epcot.

Thank you! You all have been soooooo helpful helping me plan my trip!!

The only other choices at MK are: Crystal Palace, Tony's Town Square and Liberty Tree Tavern. I would check the menus and see what fits your tastes and budget best.

For Epcot, I wouldn't know where to start! There's SO many choices.

For MK I'd say CP if the kids like pooh, tigger & piglet.

Or go to the Poly resort & eat supper at Ohana. That is where we go on our MK day. We love it...is our favorite meal of anywhere.

Epcot we of course love LeCellier. Coral Reef is good too. San Angel is the prettiest restaurant at Epcot I think. The food isn't as good as other places but is worth it to eat there at least once.

All meals are costly & we are on the dining plan..but I'd eat at Ohana without a dining plan as it is so so good!
.

MK dinnerl, go over to Grand FL for the Cinderella dinner, the prince and step mother/sisters are there.....its a buffet and great interactio!

Epcot, try Coral Reef if you like fishes! ask for a table by the tank!

Both the Crystal Palace (lunch or dinner) and 1900 Park Fare dinner will have something for everyone (adults and children).

If you can get the reservations, I'd scrap the Plaza and replace it with Crystal Palace. I know the plaza is not expensive, but Crystal Palace will probably not be much more. The characters at Crystal Palace are great! And the lunch and dinner buffet there is very good, superior to any buffet I've ever been to.

For another MK area dinner, I'd go to 1900 Park Fare. I'm eating there the first time next trip, but You have some great characters there (especially Cinderella's stepsisters and stepmother), and you can ride the boat from MK to the Grand Floridian. The lobby is very nice -- lots of huge floral arrangements, a piano player, and an orchestra. There's a bath shop with soaps that have mickey ears in them.

For Epcot, I have not eaten everywhere so no great advice from me. After our next trip, we will have conquered many more Epcot restaurants. But Biergarten is pretty inexpensive and there's lots of entertainment (music and dancing) there. And lunch is cheaper... and I hear the food is about the same at lunch and dinner.

In Epcot, if you're not on the DDP I think the Rose and Crown in UK and Restaurant Marrakesh in Morocco are really good choices. Just take a look at the menus first. Marrakesh is really not that exotic--my kids even like it--and the atmosphere is really cool.

As for MK, do you definitely want a sit down place, or are you just looking for meal ideas? I actually really like Columbia Harbor House, and it has a great view from upstairs. At the Poly, our "secret" spot is their counter service restaurant, Captain Hooks (think that's the name). If it's nice out, there are tables right outside where you can eat--the food is really good--you can even get Dole Whips!

Good luck!

For your other MK day, I'd hop the monorail for either 1900 Park Fair, Ohana or The Wave. We had great meals at all three and visiting the resorts was a nice break from the parks.

For EPCOT, I'd suggest Biergarden or Rose and Crown. Biergarden was great fun, yummy food and my kids loved it. Rose and Crown was also really nice. We had a patio table and it was so nice to relax, enjoy a nice lunch and look out over the lagoon.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I booked a Crystal Palace for our MK day. After looking at the menu, dh will LOVE the food and the kids can enjoy the characters.

Off to look at a few more menus :)

We really enjoyed Biergarten in November and will be returning in March. There is an oompah band, which is great especially for kids. Yummy beer too. The buffet is very good and plentiful. The potato leek soup was especially good, especially wtih the pretzel bread. We've also done Rose and Crown - they had a prix fixe which was reasonable and good. IIRC, I had a creamy potato soup, shephards pie, and sticky toffee pudding, all of which were tasty. We also went to Coral Reef. It is good but pricier than Rose and Crown. Akershus breakfast is expensive but is still cheaper than CRT. I see you have CRT but if you aren't "set" on the castle, it's a good alternative. We especially enjoyed the pastry buffet and the cheesy potato casserole that they bring to your table.

I haven't been to Chefs de France, but the lunch prix fixe is supposed to be tasty and affordable.

I'm not sure my picky eaters would like Biergarten??? The menu sounds different??

I will check out chefs de France and I REALLY want to do Akershus but dh and ds wouldn't like the food? It also sounds different. I may just plan a special lunch there with me and dd cause Belle is MY favorite character!!

Biergarten has lots of variety but plenty for picky eaters. Things like fried chicken, roasted meats, sausages that look like hot dogs, spaetzle (which is a pasta) and tons of potato dishes. Trust me. There is a TON of food and the nice thing with buffets is that you can keep trying new things. Do a search and you'll pull up reviews that can show you what's available.

Akershus has a great breakfast that anyone would enjoy. Breakfast is also the cheapest meal, so you'll ge the most bang for your buck. Also, unlike other character meals (except CRT), Akershus includes the professional picture with Belle.

I'll second Marrakesh. Gets mixed reviews but I thought this was a real fun place for children. I loved the music and the belly dancer invited all the children (who were willing) to come to the dance floor and try belly dancing. This is what I like about Disney, fun combined with food. I can eat at "normal" restaurants at home. And DS had pasta, french fries, peas, and strawberries -- all his favorites... if it's not on the menu, just ask. I thought all the food was good. And Marrakesh is an easy place to get a reservation... I'll guess that is part due to it having a lot of tables, and because people shy away from food that may be a little different.

Just a thought for Epcot, you might try Garden Grill. We will be visiting with our boys, DS9 and DS5, in January and will be going there. My boys are not very adventurous with food. I know they will eat here and they say the character interaction is wonderful. Good luck, I am sure you will find the right restaurant for your family.
