Good or bad i would appreciate some info. I remember (awhile ago) reading a thread stating there were certain gates (or better gates) to use for either the breakfast, or to go into the park after breakfast. ANY info. would be helpful, as we didn't even make it to AK our last trip, and i would like to start our visit with a character breakfast. Thanks for your help!!

Sue

P.S. Got my Cindy ressies this AM, i'm sure my boys will be thrilled:rolleyes:

Hi sudiequ!
We were there last Feb. and our reservation was at 8:10, I believe, and the park opened at 9. We were told to go by the far right gate and they would let us in there. Once through the gate, they had a table set up where you check in. Then a CM would call out your reservation time and they would take you back to Dinoland to the restaraunt. It was very nice walking through the park with no one else there! Our CM's name was Neil, and he was the nicest guy! They will take your photo once you get back to the restaraunt and then you go in and eat!:) After we were through eating we had dinoland practically to ourselves! It was really nice, you'll like it! Have fun. Hope to see you again at one of the "famous" Chicago Dis meets!

Look for our report of last Wed breakfast. I don't have it ready yet, but we had a great time and the food was good. I'll try to get it up tomorrow or Thurs for everyone to read.

Food was very good(love those Krispy Kremes). Service/atmosphere was very stressful. Our waiter shouted orders at us since he picked us up at the gate through most of the meal. We were on edge for the whole meal, and couldnt wait to get out of there. We much prefer Chef Mickeys which is much more relaxing and you dont need to make an appointment with the characters. ;)

This is our favorite character breakfast! The food is very good and the character's are great! We like to go at about 10am the place is starting to empty out by then and the characters spend lots of time w/ you. We go every trip!

This has become our favorite character breakfast. I sugest a 8:10 PS as to finish breakfast just as the park opens. We found the food and service both excelent. Our hostess was wonderful and even "fussed at me when I got on to my DS for getting way too much bacon. She said he was on vacation and it was ok, that all the kids take too much. She sent goofy over to help eat it. The characters were awsome. Ds is a big Donald fan so this is a must do for us.

This has been our least favorite character meal. We went later and the food appeared to have been sitting there awhile and was not being replenished. A lot of dirty dishes sitting around on the tables, food on the floor, very mediocre. Character interaction was very so-so. Maybe a bad day...

We did not like this restaurant. The food was cold the floors were filthy and the service was way under par. We much prefer Chef Mickeys. You get a hot breakfast and lots of fun. People talk about the Krispy Kreme donuts. I can get them at home, I go to disney for the extra special that I can't get anywhere but there.

Unfortuneately ours was horrible! We had 8:20a ressies and got in line as directed at the far gate. They let us through and then saeted us in order we were in line, not as our PS was so we were actually with the 8:10a group. Our server picked us up at the gate and RACED us through to the restaurant. We were literally JOGGING! LOL! I was rather dissappointed as this was our first time in AK and I wanted to stop a look a bit. And oneo f the folks in our group was a bit older and was complaining quite loudly. When we got in we were seated and she left to fill our drink orders. The characters started coming around right away. I was really dissappointed in them. Donald was the worst, I don't think that "he" had done many of these events or maybe too many. He signed the autograph books, barely posed for a pic and was off. Mickey spent a little time playing, but not much and Goofy goofed around some, but they all seemed really rushed. The server came around and did the ketchup trick, but it was lame and forced and she did it to all the tables one after the other and it wasn't at all funny.

The food was really good and the restaurant was fun. We did get dnoe right as the park was opening at the main gate, so we walked right over to Dinosaur and were the third group in line right after the two tables we had been sitting next to. We could have gone another time after this with no wait, but my DS wasn't going on that ride again! LOL!

This was all in May, so maybe it has changed. As I said, I think so much of this experience hinges on the server. If she hadn't rushed us so, had more fun playing, over even really just SMILED once it would have been 10 times better.

This was my lleast favorite meal at WDW. The atmosphere was terrible...very rushed and disorganized. The food was not very good. I much prefer the 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridean. Sandie

My DH and I loved it!! We attended a character breakfast nearly everyday of our trip in Feb 01 and this one was at the top of the list, along with the Crystal Palace. The servers were so funny, except when they announced to everyone that I was headed to the bathroom and when I was making my second trip to the buffet...ok, so that was funny, too! Atmosphere is so much and this place has it! The food is typical buffet, not gourmet, but certainly good eats and funny entertainment to start your day off on the right foot! We added it to the list for our trip in 2 weeks!

We ate at Donalds in August and really enjoyed it! We had the earliest PS (810am at the time). I would really recomend doing the early PS...it was so neat walking around an EMPTY AK after we finishing eating!

The food was your standard buffet food. Just as good as Chef Mickey's breakfast buffet, IMO. THe characters were great...they all stopped by our table for pictures. The atmosphere of the restaurant is really cute w/ all the dinosaur stuff. I'd do it again. :) Especially since AK is a park that we like to get to early in the morning.

We've done Chef Mickey's twice, Donald's once, and we're trying Crystal Palace in May. :) I love having breakfast w/ the characters!
