My daughter would like some perfume for Christmas and has said that she likes 'fruity' fragrances, but we are pretty unfamiliar with different brands. I do wear Be Delicious which is really nice, light and fruity, but I don't want to get her 'Mom's' fragrance, lol. Any recommendations? She is twenty. Thanks!

Sephora offers perfume "try me" kits. They have about 6-8 samples of perfumes (each sample actually has quite a bit of perfume in it). With the kit, you get a certificate for a full-sized bottle of the one you think is your favorite. They have two different kits (or maybe three this year). One is more mature, one is kind of young, and they other might be like a fashion designer type.

I think it makes a really great gift and is a fun way to try out new perfumes. Check it out on their website.

my niece is the same way, I bought her a sampler from victorias secret last year. Her mom told me she liked it.

My DH bought me Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche on a cruise last year and I love it. Beware that the it is a lighter frangrance then the plain Chanel Chance. The one I have and love is light green in color. It's very light and fresh ... honestly don't know that I would call it fruity but I suppose so. I don't like heavy spicy scents and this is the first one I have liked in years, after trying a gazillion others I have been true to this one for the year I have had it!

I'm 24 and this is what I wear:
Harajuku Lovers Love (this also has 4 others to chose from)
Marc Jacobs Lola
Bath and Body Works Butterfly Flower

I'm not sure what your price range is Lola was the highest while Bath and Body Works is the lowest.

I think the sampler set is a great idea, but personally, I like Pink Sugar. It smells like cotton candy and is not to expencive.

I actually like Pink Sugar also. It was in my DD's sampler that she got last Christmas. It was a little *young* for my tastes, but it is a different perfume for sure. My DD likes that Mon Cherie Chanel or something like that. I think it's awful. The other one I liked out of her kit was Stella by Stella McCartney.

LOVE Pink Sugar! :lovestruc I don't have any "fruity" fragrance suggestions because I hate all fruity scents with the exception of citrus, so I second the idea of one of the samplers from Sephora. I'm actually considering snagging one for myself for Christmas.

White Citrus from Bath & Body Works is delightful if your DD likes citrusy fragrances, and you'd be able to get her several different items in that same fragrance for layering. I know you can do that with the "name" scents but that gets to be awfully costly after more than a couple of items. :)

Lilly Pulitzer has the best citrus fragrance. It's called Squeeze.
